We moved earlier this month. Everything went as planned. They were on time and ready to work. It was amazing how careful they were with our things. Everything was shrink wrapped for protection. They disassembled and reassembled the furniture and made sure it was exactly where I wanted it. We plan to use them again soon. Highly recommended. read more

The price we were charged was not the price we were quoted over the internet. My advice would be if you use them have them write the charges down so there is no misunderstanding. Do that before they touch anything. The two workers were efficient and polite. They moved the furniture as requested and made sure it was set up and working properly. read more

Very disappointing repeat experience. biggest issue was around estimating - after looking at everything in the house and garage Jason gave us an estimate of $2657 and one truck. Ended up costing us $4387! And taking two trucks. Even though we told them very early in the day everything wasn't going to fit in 1 truck they kept trying to pack it in. Finally about 4 PM they realized we were right and then we had to wait 3 hrs for another truck to arrive, extending a long and stressful day. They didn't put a blanket on the floor entry to our new house and cracked the tile, taking a chunk out of the marble floor and the DR table wasn't properly wrapped and the closing mechanism is broken. While the individual guys were very nice, all in all I would never use them again! Felt like a bait & switch - and I told them that too. No reply. read more

Let's start out with the reason I gave them two stars. That's simply because they were on time. Other than that they wouldn't even get one star from me. It's taken us approximately a week and a half to unpack everything that they moved for us. Out of 46 boxes 22 were either crushed or broken. Slate top tables broken. Legs to dressers and nightstands, broken. Numerous things scratched or cracked. Numerous picture frames and Glass Broken. And to top it off my wife gave a couple of the movers some leaves of her 10 year old aloe vera plant that she started from one leaf. Our stuff sat in the truck overnight and the plant came back with every single leaf cut off of it and nothing but a trunk left. I would never hire this company again on my worst day. I scheduled my move for 3pm on a Friday and took the afternoon off work - no one showed up. I called multiple times and left voicemails, no response. I finally got a call from the moving crew at 6PM saying they were on their way. At this point, I had already scheduled another moving company for the next day, at premium rate since my lease ended the same weekend. I also ended up missing a day of golfing with my friends since I had to delay my move by a day. I asked the man on the phone to have the company management call me - never heard back from them. I am very disappointed since I was personally referred by a close friend. I guess she got lucky and had a great experience with Sergeant, but their customer service does not seem very consistent. I would have at appreciated a notification that the crew was running late or even an apology from the manager afterwards for the situation they put me in. read more

They moved me in December. The gentlemen complained about the weight of my boxes (which I can lift myself). They scuffed almost every single piece of furniture. The corner of my entertainment center was damaged (when they dropped it or hit it on something). The men did not own up to the damage before they left. When I called the office and sent pictures of the damage I heard nothing back. Just use them for the second time on February 17th and I would give them a 5-star rating just like I did the first time we used them. They were running a little late and getting to our condo to unload our 27 ft U-Haul but they called ahead to let us know and I talked to them several more times after that. The communication was great and it did not pose a problem. Jason and Wes are top-notch, polite and careful with our belongings and easily maneuvered some pretty heavy furniture up two flights of stairs to our condo. Not a scratch on anything. Delightful people and reasonable prices as we got a veteran's discount. I highly recommend them because I have used many moving companies before and know good ones from bad ones. I am very impressed with these guys. Jason was easy to deal with, efficient, and friendly. The team ran a little late and called me in advance to let me know. Points for manners and communication. Lee and Karl were very professional. No idle chit-chat, no whining, didn't smell like smoke, considerate and mannerly, and hard workers. I think I cursed more than the two of them combined and they were doing most of the work. My move took a lot longer than I expected because of unforeseen issues with elevators and the like, but they did a VERY good job and I would recommend them to anyone. Also, they are owned/operated by vets so I appreciate that. And of all the places I checked out, these guys had no hidden fees (yes, I am talking about the Uhaul movers site especially). I will always pay a little more for customer service and an up front deal. They are open late for people that work and had great communication every step of the process.
