The view, the lake, the helpful staff never disappoint. Know it's rustic , for sure, but the showers ( are cinderblock) but supply piping hot water. The bathrooms too - rustic. There are laundry rooms - so you can go home with all clean laundry. We usually rent time off a ski boat at Dingleys wharf in Naples - a wonderful day !! Lakeside Pines is old fashioned family time - board games, walks, cards, trips to Renys Department store - and truly it's priceless to get all that family time with our teenagers

Her first…read moreyear at Wazi was at 7 years old and I will never forget the 4 hour car ride home in which she did not stop talking about all of the amazing things she did and all of the wonderful friends she made. At Wazi, she tried all kinds of activities that she had never even heard of, such as archery, and came home with new interests. She also matured tremendously over that summer as these young kids are given the opportuntiy to choose which activities they would like to do, take care of themselves and make all kinds of decisions on their own. My daughter felt safe and happy all summer. During the 2021 summer, they did an amazing job of letting the kids enjoy a mostly normal camp experience even though COVID was still around. It gave my son life-long friends, confidence and a deep sense of community. Wigwam was the place where he first developed a passion for water skiing. He was merely 8 years old when he first went to Wigwam and it quickly became his home away from home. Bob, the owner, is one of the most caring, kindest and warm people you will ever meet. His warmth permeates the entire camp culture and is seen in the way the staff and campers treat each other. This year my son will return as a counselor, a truly full circle moment. To see him guide and support young campers the way he was supported and guided means so much to us. We all are forever grateful to Wigwam!

Last year at 9 years old we sent our son to Bridgton. We live in Florida so it was a huge…read moredecision. Our son being the oldest of 3 boys, we thought of many benefits. Our younger boys get more time with us, our oldest gets to mature and learn responsibilities. The college campus setting is a plus, as opposed to cabins. He would get to experience living in that setting. We wanted him to have experience outside of Florida in another part of the county. Having access to the lake, fishing and boating more pluses. Lastly, as a hockey player being able to play hockey over the summer and against boys from all over would be incredible. We were hesitant, is he ready, will he be ok??? We dropped him off and never looked back. The campus, the counselors we met were incredible, coupled with Koop's leadership and experience - WOW. Fast forward to seeing our boy after 21 days at camp. Would you go back? "Yes, I had the best time ever". Here we are again, 10 year old ready to go have the best 3 weeks of the year! If you have any worries, there is no need.

Having done this twice now, I won't come back a third time. The novelty wore off upon our second…read moreouting, but I still think it's absolutely worth doing at least once! Some things still hold true a year later: 1. Scheduling, paying for, and signing the waiver for your adventure online is unbelievably easy. You can rent kayaks, paddleboards, or canoes for 2, 3, or 4 hours at a time (embarking between 9a and 3p. You can add a lesson before your rental, a cell phone dry bag, a dog life jacket, and a large dry bag all for an additional nominal fee. You can launch from Sebago Trails (side note: they have a really neat - and super secure - docking system/apparatus for you to get in and out of your vessel safely) or pick-up and take-away (something we haven't done, but - contrary to what I said above - *is* something we'd come back here for if that was an option for us)! 2. There's plenty of parking! Unfortunately: a) One of our kayaks was broken (which they told us about, but still put one of us in), and in the end we had to turn around after a little bit of paddling to swap it out. The kayaks aren't all the same brand or style, either, so where I was in something super sleek (that moved quickly through the water), my partner was in something much bulkier (that took a lot more work to paddle). b) The staff was so friendly and welcoming the first time! The second time, not so much. So, for us anyway, it's a bit hit or miss there. The SPTC map: a) The first time we came we kayaked Panther Run (a really mellow, lazy river inlet), portaged across the Mill Street Dam, kayaked all the way up Panther Pond, and ended at Hawthorne Beach where we swam and enjoyed snacks. It was a workout, but we saw so much wildlife and hardly saw other people. Such a peaceful, lowkey, lovely way to spend a day! b) The second time we came there had been no rain most of the summer. And that changed the Panther Run experience entirely (as there was barely any water): we got stuck on the sand so often, that we decided to turn around and head out into Sebago Lake instead (another route that STPC offers if you're not renting and taking away). We kayaked up to Hot Tub Island (which is this man made ring of stones) for lunch but it - and the knee deep water around it - was absolutely covered in and full of bird poop. So we kayaked over to Raymond Beach which was the other spot STPC suggested, but it was so crowded we had nowhere to pull up. In the end it was a nice day bobbing in the water - we saw lots of fish, baby ducks, turtles, and an enormous barn owl! - but not for $90.

I am a member of the Rinker Boat Owners Forum. Will from Moose Landing Marina posted on the forum…read morethat he had a slightly damaged part that he was willing to give away for free. This is an $11,000+ part. I am lucky enough to own the exact model boat that this part will fit on. I emailed with Will a few times and spoke on the phone a few times. The marina is almost 4 hours away from my house & the only time that I was able to get away from work to go pick up the part was during the holiday season. Will gave me his personal cell # so that I could call him when I got up there & he sent one of his employees over to help me load the part - even though the marina was closed at the time. The part is in very good condition with some cosmetic scratches. Once painted, it will be perfect. There aren't too many of this model boat that this part would fit, so it may have been difficult to find a buyer if he had tried to sell it, BUT... it is a heavy aluminum part, several hundred pounds, and he could have scrapped it and made money just off of the value of the aluminum. What a nice marina, I wish it wasn't so far from my home and my boating. It is in a great location with beautiful scenery. Both Will and Jason (the one who helped me load the part) were very nice. If I am ever boating in the Naples area, I will absolutely go to Moose Landing Marina. THANKS WILL!
