I honestly don't know how this guy is still in business. This will be the last time I refer anyone…read moreto him. As a board member of a building with many residents needing window repairs or replacements, I expected a much higher level of professionalism. I contacted this contractor today, and he told me he wasn't even sure when he would be available to come take measurements. When I asked for a timeframe, he couldn't even tell me whether it would take 1 or 2 weeks just to come out for simple window measurements. He said he would "let me know," yet never even took down any contact information. On top of that, the person I referred to him was also left waiting without any response or follow-up. This is no way to run a business. The customer service is extremely poor and unprofessional. I had no idea the company operated this way, otherwise I never would have referred anyone to them. Do yourself a favor and use a real window repair company like Mike the Glazier instead. The business owner has since removed his rude and unprofessional follow-up comments to my review and has now taken a much softer approach in his response. His original replies were completely nasty and disrespectful. I guess someone finally educated him on appropriate business etiquette and basic manners. Listen Taulant, you really need to work on how you communicate with people. It's not just about the quality of your work, it's also about professionalism, respect, and the way you speak to customers. Just because a job is $325 instead of $13,000 doesn't mean you should brush people off or treat them like they're not important. You know exactly what happened here, so please don't try to play the victim. I'm not trying to hurt you or hurt your business, I'm trying to teach you an important lesson. I was actually trying to help you by referring business your way and putting money in your pocket, but instead you ignored the customer I referred to you and then brushed me off as well. That's not how you build or maintain a good reputation. You also can't say things to customers like "I don't trust your measurements" or act like you'll get to their job only when you feel like it because it's a smaller project. Every customer deserves respect and proper communication regardless of the size of the job. I will eventually delete the review because my intention is not to damage your business, but I hope you truly take this as a lesson learned moving forward. How you communicate with people matters just as much as the work itself.

The person working there knew very little about the products (e.g. didn't even know there is a contemporary style option for various Andersen doors). He was also very rude. When I asked basic questions about how large particular windows in the showroom were, "Large enough" was the answer. That was followed shortly by "This is not a public showroom. This is for WindowRama customers only." Do people place orders before they go to the showroom? Seems pretty backwards. We were looking for 40+ windows and a patio slider. We even called ahead the day before to confirm with another employee and they had asked us to stop by.

While the showroom is small, the person was so helpful - friendly, not pushy. We left with so much information - and after mulling it over, we called to have a salesperson come over, look at what we needed done and give us a quote The salesperson, Chris, came when he said he would, looked the job over, asked what we wanted, and gave us a quote. We had waited so long to have the windows replaced (years!) that we decided to 'go for it''. Chris said we'd have a Project Manager that would stop by and check on the job (which would take 2 days) - it sounded too good to be true. The installer, Chris (different Chris!) came by, to take the final measurements and our windows were ordered. We were told it would take 4 - 6 weeks. Within that time frame, we were called and given the install date. On the date given, a truck pulled up, dropped off everything needed to do the job - and about an hour later, Chris and his assistant got to work. Later that day, our Project Manager showed up, just to make sure everything was progressing nicely - yes, we really did have a Project Manager! The next day while Chris and his assistant finished the job, Chris the salesperson showed up just to see how things were going - I don't ever recall seeing a salesperson after a sale was made! Towards the end of the second day, our Project Manager came by and checked out the whole job! He was satisfied - and we were thrilled. Replacing windows is not cheap, and it's something easily put off, but I'm writing this in my warmer, quieter living room because we finally made a choice - and we are so glad that we chose WindowRama!

My breakfast room window, which is next to the fire escape, has been broken since the day I moved into the apartment. The super tried to fix it over the 6 years that I've lived here; however, it remained broken and dangerous. Fortunately, Altin and Egli, who are employed by A&J, came today and fixed my window. They even went throughout the apartment, checking all of the other windows to make sure there were no other issues. Altin and Egli were kind, respectful, professional and efficient. Their boss, Reggie, who owns A&J called to check to make sure I was satisfied. A&J Window Repair is EXCELLENT. A must for anyone who has window repair issues. Dr. Ramona Brockett

I GAVE THEM MULTIPLE CHANCES. BIG MISTAKE…read more I normally give small businesses a lot of grace. In this case, I gave far too much. **5/9/26: UPDATE - SEE SCREENSHOT OF ILONA GUMENYUK'S 5/8/26 EMAIL CONFIRMING REGGIE ARRIVING TO DISTRIBUTE REFUNDS AND REPLACE MY SCREENS -- NONE OF WHICH HAPPENED. AND NOT A WORD FROM ANYONE.** I hired Reggie Villa / A&J Window and Glass to create custom window screens and a balcony screen solution for my apartment. Based on my recommendation, two neighbors also hired him and paid deposits as well. What followed was weeks of missed appointments, repeated promises to "check with the factory and call me back within the hour," long stretches of no communication, repeated promises that things would be ready "next week," and eventually requests for refunds that never materialized. As delays continued, Ilona Gumenyuk repeatedly communicated on the company's behalf regarding scheduling, refunds, and assurances that replacement materials and payments were forthcoming. When Reggie finally arrived to install my window screens, he showed up hours late with screens that were several inches too short and did not fit properly (see photo). Instead of acknowledging the issue, he attempted to explain the large visible gaps as intentional. One screen had to literally be hammered into place. Even after this, I still allowed myself to believe repeated assurances that properly fitted replacement screens and refunds were finally coming. They weren't. Since then, the two neighbors I referred have filed complaints with the Office of the New York State Attorney General Consumer Frauds Bureau, the Better Business Bureau, and local law enforcement. It is also worth noting that the company's Google Business Profile now appears as "Permanently Closed," despite the company continuing to communicate with customers and schedule supposed future work. As a result, customers can no longer post new Google reviews. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to read the prior detailed negative reviews carefully. I wish I had.
