We have not had a rainfall yet and so I cannot comment on the quality of work of the roof repair. HOWEVER, I can comment on the much improved AC in my building LOL. I have an AC unit on the roof with exposed ducts. My commercial unit is pretty new and I've only had it for 5 years. Each year it gets harder to keep our building cool and I have called 2-3 different AC companies to come look at it and all they do is service and change the filter and it feels the same. Part of my contract with Reno was to seal all my exposed ducts (at the time I didn't really know what that means). I guess if there are cracks in the ducts, rain can get in and it can present as a roof leak when in fact it might be a duct/AC leak. After they sealed my ducts, the AC in my building is way better! I'm talking about going from 78 daily to now lower than 72 thank goodness!!! I hope they are able to fix roofs as good as they are able to fix ACs haha!! But I'm sure it will all be fine.

They explained how the existing roof had caused the wall damage and how they intend to fix it. I asked a lot of questions and they answered each one with patience and clarity. They arrived on Wednesday with three more crew members and worked throughout the day, finishing the whole task by Thursday. Everyone was respectful of our property and cleaned up so much that you wouldn't know we had roofing work done. Marcos also touched up other parts of our roof, like adding silicone to our skylight and more covering for our vents. Fortunately, my garage (which was storing much of what I had that wasn't in the house) was the only thing that suffered damage, Unfortunately, most of my mementos were destroyed. I reroofed, and now almost 30 years later, with rumors are that El Nino is making a return visit, I thought (since we had suffered minor leaks during some of the recent rains) it was time to reroof, so I put Yelp to work to find me some people to interview. I picked five for the information I could glean, asking few questions, since I knew opening my mouth connected to a brain that knows little about roofing, would be a bad idea and also seeing if people were helpful with their explanations. Everyone (maybe except one) was personable enough for me to think I could work with them, but much of the information was kinda the same thing (although I noted some improvements in roofing since 97 that were useful to ask each about). The prices were more or less the same, and close enough that I knew I could find a point that would be roughly around the general price for them all, so it wasn't money. It was rapport and ultimately who gave me the greatest sense of trust. And. I learned, information that no one else told me. Roy, with Top Roofing was the ONLY one of the five that I saw who discussed the solar pool heating on my roof with me; each of the people I met with went on the roof. Not one other person mentioned it, and if you have solar panels on the roof - it's a consideration in doing the job. When I called the others who'd come to the house to say I'd made my choice and asked why I picked someone else I told them this - it was determinative that one person told me this was a job that needed to be done in addition to the roofing. He hooked me up with a solar heating company, he'd worked with before and I got on the phone with them and felt reasonably satisfied that between them and Roy it would get done on time, on budget. (It's not a small add-on to have them remove and reinstall the works, so if this affects you, be warned). Roy stayed in touch with me throughout - He came by and we spoke on phone daily. We had agreed that in the cost we he would completely replace and repaint a tongue-and-groove porch which was pretty rotted out) and aside from some permit forms I had to fill out, gave me a date of less than a week every date was kept. His crew was punctual, and so neat - the pool was covered, they cleaned up each of the five days they worked. Roy walked the yard with me before they started so I could make sure my gardener trimmed where he needed to, then walked it again, to tell me where we might need to keep trimming. He touched base with me every day, and when it was over gave me a video of the roof (both the main house and the garage were reroofed), and the porch which looked haggard now looks beautiful. I can't say enough about what a positive experience this was. And it looks really good. And since the last time I put on a roof, the tile now cools down the exterior which is good to have in an LA summer. The roof is up, the solar heating is back in operation. Let's go. A roof is an expensive proposition, and I think it's ok to know little if you hire someone you believe in (and, I'll admit, test out a little bit at the onset), who speaks to you in a way that is helpful and doesn't overwhelm you, but I think this was an incredibly positive experience in terms of labor, cleanliness, schedule and most importantly communication. Kurt and his team did my roof in Oct. 2021. I waited to post a review as it became clear that the…read morepoor quality of their workmanship would require them to return for many follow-up visits. But after learning how little the Roof Experts' warranty is worth, I decided I couldn't wait any longer to write this review. During the first rain after they installed my new roof, the flashing around our chimney began to leak. This was frustrating because we decided to go with the Roof Experts despite their estimate being higher because the flashing was included. It took almost two months for Kurt to send a team to do the necessary repairs, but he sent two guys who hadn't worked on the original job and were unfamiliar with the house. Unsurprisingly, the leak recurred in March 2022 and Jan 2023. Then after the epic rains in February, the leak came back, this time so bad it cracked open a ceiling and damaged the house's original, 90-year old floors. When I emailed Kurt, he had the gall to claim the chimney was "properly flashed" and did not send a team to check and honor the Roof Experts' "10-year warranty". An insurance inspector and an independent contractor came to our house and confirmed that it was the flashing that was leaking, as suspected. We had to replace the entire flashing, tearing up surrounding shingles to do the new job. It turned out to be a good thing Kurt didn't send his own team because now the leak is finally fixed after having professionals do the job. When offered the opportunity to refund us for the cost of the flashing replacement, Kurt sent one follow up email asking for additional information, then ceased to respond. And that's just one reason I have to recommend you not use the Roof "Experts". The workers left trash from their lunch in our yard, damaged several plants that are still recovering 20 months later and left roofing debris I'm still finding to this day. I was promised that my gutters would be re-installed properly, but they left pieces of it lying on the floor when they left and installed other parts so poorly that the resulting spills are warping window sills on my house. So do yourself a favor and save yourself numerous headaches and find someone else to do your roof.

The whole process was easy and exactly what you'd expect from a good roofing company. They showed up exactly when they said they would, did a wonderful job and cleaned up before they left. It is awfully assumptive to think I had to have a husband, but I digress. Noah was scheduled to perform the inspection. He was running a bit late and called about 5 minutes after our scheduled time letting me know he ran into some traffic and would be about another 5 minutes or so. He showed up 20 minutes later and it was the oddest thing, he parked in my driveway. When he came up to the door he asked if it was okay and I said okay, but honestly, I found it really strange and just didn't want to prolong the appointment. Upon inspection, he seemed very knowledgeable and personable and did a pretty thorough inspection taking pictures and videos of the roof and surrounding areas. As mentioned, I am the type to obtain multiple quotes, so I expected that after he did the inspection, we would go over his findings and a few days later I would receive a quote. After he did the inspection, he showed me a video of something the other roofers didn't, which was nice as I like a thorough job, but then said he would be in touch with a quote. I received a phone call a few days later asking to discuss findings, but when I called back, I got an AI bot which was then followed up by a call back from a real person. Oddly enough, when they called, they literally said nothing. They asked if it was a good time to talk and I said yes but they wanted to talk when "my husband was around." Even though I said it was a good time, they said they would call back. I followed up via Yelp message. It has been over a week and I have yet to receive any quote from them. Needless to say, I won't be going with this company. They aren't willing to work with just a woman and are unresponsive.

Cristian returned my call and scheduled an inspection very quickly. He was very knowledgeable and polite. I had a lot of questions and he was quick to respond and took the time to explain everything to me, including the permit process. He also explained the overall process, timeline and hours he and the crew would be on the roof working. There were a lot of chipped and cracked tiles that needed to be replaced. He found replacement tiles that were a perfect match. All tiles had to be removed to replace the paper, and when the tiles were reset, they were straight and looked consistent across the whole roof. At the end of each day they took the time to clean up around the entire house and even used magnets to pick up any nails. They were also careful not to damage any of the landscaping around the house. Cristian was present for both inspections from the City inspector and completed the roof and patio cover according to the timeline. The overall cost did not change from the estimate, and there wasn't any hidden costs. A contract was created and signed which included a warranty. Over the past two years, there have been several heavy rain storms including high winds. Cristian called to check on the condition of the roof, and there have been no leaks or tiles out of place. AGA Roofing is a local Santa Clarita roofer, and I'm extremely happy with the job they did. I received quotes from 5 different roofers and AGA was the most honest and transparent. The work done on my house was replacement of the paper under my tiles which included temporarily removing my solar panels. The solar system worked the first time after the panels were reinstalled. All of the paper was replaced correctly. A.G.A roofing showed me pictures of all of the paper installation. A previous roofing company stated that I needed replacement of plywood under my roof tiles. A.G.A. Roofing inspected the area and stated it was the paper that had water stains not the plywood. A.G.A. Roofing showed me pictures indicated that all of the plywood for my roof was in excellent condition. A.G.A. Roofing showed me that the last roofer replaced only half of the paper on my dormer roof. When A.G.A. Roofing broke a tile, they admitted it and fixed it. Christian was the lead for this job, made sure that the job was done right, and he was professional at all times.
