While Winfield's businesses may be lacking here and there, it's places like Ann's Nails that make…read morecoming to my small town totally worth it. First off, let me start by explaining what a snob I can be about having my nails done professionally. Frankly, I'm so awful at painting my own nails, I'm willing to pay $35-$40 every two weeks to get my nails all purdy at Ann's. I know it may sound like a lot for someone that may not get their nails done, and when you look at the expense over the year, you may want to smack yourself but when it comes down to it, we all need to treat ourselves to something we enjoy and, in this case, I enjoy pampering myself in this manner. Bonus, I'm a jeweler so having my hands look nice is also a sort of business expense. You think I can write it off on my taxes? LOL Back to me being a snob...let me elaborate by explaining I'm new to town and I was intimidated at first about going to a new nail place because I know how these places can be back home so I went in with hesitation....originally. I was pleasantly surprised at how great of a first, second and third experience I've had at Ann's since moving to the area. I crave good local businesses which I can support. This is simply how I roll. I need the things and supporting small businesses is my jam. My very first time in was for a mani-pedi and Wilson did not disappoint! I typically am uncertain about men doing my nails because of my nerve disorder and my painful sensitivity to people touching me but Wilson was very caring and patient throughout the whole time he worked with me. He asked if I was ok throughout the process and was gentle when necessary. He did an awesome job on my nails for Christmas and really nailed the designs I was aiming for from some photos I saw on Pinterest. Get it? "nailed" ha I have also gone to see Sarah a few times and she's also excellent. One of my girlfriends exclusively sees sarah and after Sarah did my nails the first time, I can totally see why! She keeps your acrylic nice and thin and is a perfectionist like her pal, Wilson. So far, I have left extremely pleased with both Sarah and Wilson's work with zero complaints. Lastly, I have to give them props for always having on a good movie with closed captioning for us to watch while we're getting pampered. What a great touch! Thanks Ann! See you all soon. xo

Rarely have I encountered a customer service experience so astonishingly inept, discordant, and…read morebereft of professionalism as the one I experienced at this salon. What should have been a relaxing appointment devolved into an unnecessary display of defensiveness, discourtesy, and astonishingly poor communication. Before the service began, I presented my nail technician with a photograph of the exact shape and style I wanted. Throughout the appointment, I reiterated my expectations with remarkable clarity. After the initial cut, I politely requested that my nails be made slightly shorter. As she continued shaping them, I showed her the reference photo again and asked whether the finished result would resemble it. Without hesitation, she confidently assured me that it would, explaining that everything would come together once the acrylic powder was applied. It did not. Even after the acrylic was applied and the shaping continued, the nails remained conspicuously dissimilar to the reference image. When I expressed my concern once again, the explanation suddenly shifted. I was informed that achieving the requested shape was impossible because my nail beds were "too wide." This abrupt contradiction was both bewildering and avoidable. If my anatomy genuinely precluded the desired result, that should have been communicated before the service progressed not after repeated assurances that the design was entirely attainable. Competence is measured not only by technical ability but by candor, expectation management, and the willingness to communicate honestly with a client. Rather than acknowledging the inconsistency or attempting to rectify the situation, the technician became conspicuously defensive. Her response "I'm the nail tech" was not the declaration of expertise she seemingly intended it to be. Expertise inspires confidence through results, not through appeals to authority. The interaction then descended into complete absurdity. Instead of exploring solutions, offering to reshape the nails, proposing an alternative, or even discussing the possibility of starting over, she abruptly abandoned the service altogether and instructed me to "find someone else to do your nails" while I was still seated at her station. The owner's intervention was even more disconcerting. Rather than serving as a calming and solution-oriented presence, she entered the conversation by raising her voice and repeatedly interrupting me as I calmly attempted to explain my concerns. At no point did I reciprocate her volume or hostility. I simply explained that speaking over me would not resolve the issue. Unfortunately, reason appeared to be far less welcome than indignation. The technician then attempted to justify her conduct by referencing the fact that I had been engaged in a professional phone conversation. That observation was entirely immaterial. My ability to conduct business while sitting quietly in a salon chair has absolutely no bearing on whether the service I was paying for was executed correctly. It was an irrelevant distraction from the actual issue: the inability to produce the design she repeatedly assured me she could achieve. To compound matters, the owner stated they had the right to charge me for half the service, while the technician simultaneously declared she "didn't want it." The irony was almost theatrical. Rather than demonstrating composure, accountability, or even a modicum of customer care, the interaction became an exhibition of emotional impulsivity masquerading as professionalism. As I prepared to leave, the owner remarked to another client that she was "so mad I'm shaking" before informing me that I was no longer welcome. I found that declaration almost superfluous. An establishment that responds to respectful criticism with emotional volatility is not one I would voluntarily patronize again. What remains most perplexing is how effortlessly this entire ordeal could have been avoided. A simple acknowledgment that the requested shape was unattainable, an honest conversation at the outset, or even an offer to restart the service would have demonstrated integrity and professionalism. Instead, every opportunity for resolution was eclipsed by defensiveness and escalating hostility. I have attached photographs of the reference image alongside the result I was being given. The juxtaposition speaks more eloquently than words ever could. Professionalism is not merely the execution of a technical skill; it is the capacity to communicate honestly, receive feedback with grace, and preserve a client's dignity even when expectations cannot be met. Unfortunately, this establishment failed on every front. What I anticipated would be an hour of self-care became an exercise in unnecessary confrontation, public embarrassment, and astonishingly poor customer service. I cannot recommend a business where accountability is supplanted by ego, communication is eclipsed by interruption, and a courteous customer is treated poorly

My significant other and I decided to try a new spot to get our nails done. This so happened to be…read morethat spot. I'd say we made a good choice. We walked in and we were helped almost instantly. They had us wash our hands first. I was seated for my pedicure right after. I was quickly handed a menu for a complimentary drink. That was a great way to start things off! I chose an Orange juice. It was pretty tasty. I was given another menu to choose what I wanted done. I chose the Classic Pedicure for my Spa Pedicure. It included Clean & Cuticles Trim, File & Shape, Callus Removal, Sea Salt Exfoliant, and Polish Application. The price was $32, so it wasn't that bad. The massage chair was a decent touch. I got a clear coat and it came out really nice. I was pretty impressed by the pedicure. It felt slightly rushed, though. I got a Manicure afterwards. This was $20. The service took a good amount of time, so that was a plus since I wanted them to be clean. My nails came out very nicely considering the shape they were in when I walked through the door. My nail technician did a great job. I wish the pedicure lasted longer. I was impressed by her attention to detail on my Manicure. She had a positive attitude. Overall, this place didn't have any major issues. Everything was fairly simple from walking in through the door to leaving. The whole place had a clean essence to it with a slightly modern feel. I recommend this spot. I'm pretty sure I'll come back someday. Date of visit: 08/14/2023

And she gave me such great color and style that all of my family and friends loved it and most importantly I love it also!

I took my 15-year-old son to get a perm from Kamila. The perm turned out great each time.. He had…read morea total of three perms over the course of a year. The first perm was $85 plus a $35 trim.. seriously, two snips off the front. The second time we came Kamila charged $95, which whatever- she should've said that it went up 10 bucks, but looking back I feel she was feeling like I wouldn't question $10- and I didn't. The third perm (3 months later) I went up to pay and I thought she said $85, I put my card in and then noticed it said $185. I felt a punch to my gut as I was walking out, and I didn't want to question in front of my son to embarrass him. I immediately contacted Kamila after leaving and she said she would look at what she charged me previously. Hours later, she said " the prices have gone up and I "think" I had a sign up a month ago, but I must've taken it down before you came in!" This is where it really gets disheartening. There are absolutely no signs of pricing in this salon, and there shouldn't be! No salons put up pricing on a wall.! There are not even prices for perms listed on her menu as she said from the beginning, that perms are a rarity at this salon. This is my problem, Kamila is the owner of the salon. She was deceitful and she knows she was. You have absolutely every right as an owner to charge whatever you want. As a repeat customer- if you went up 100% in the service you better - make sure you tell your customer this BEFORE the service. There are no prices on the menu for this service. I work in a high-end aesthetics salon. When the price of Botox or fillers goes up, I am upfront with my clients BEFORE the service, and we are only talking a small increase- not 100% increase. We will, of course, never go back to Enve or recommend to anyone . I only took the time to put this review to help and spare anyone else from being embarrassed and taken advantage of. I am so glad I was there with my son, as my other son was going to take him and he only had $85 with him as he works extra just to pay for this service!! He would have been so embarrassed!
