    Most recent nails!

While Winfield's businesses may be lacking here and there, it's places like Ann's Nails that make coming to my small town totally worth it. First off, let me start by explaining what a snob I can be about having my nails done professionally. Frankly, I'm so awful at painting my own nails, I'm willing to pay $35-$40 every two weeks to get my nails all purdy at Ann's. I know it may sound like a lot for someone that may not get their nails done, and when you look at the expense over the year, you may want to smack yourself but when it comes down to it, we all need to treat ourselves to something we enjoy and, in this case, I enjoy pampering myself in this manner. Bonus, I'm a jeweler so having my hands look nice is also a sort of business expense. You think I can write it off on my taxes? LOL Back to me being a snob...let me elaborate by explaining I'm new to town and I was intimidated at first about going to a new nail place because I know how these places can be back home so I went in with hesitation....originally. I was pleasantly surprised at how great of a first, second and third experience I've had at Ann's since moving to the area. I crave good local businesses which I can support. This is simply how I roll. I need the things and supporting small businesses is my jam. My very first time in was for a mani-pedi and Wilson did not disappoint! I typically am uncertain about men doing my nails because of my nerve disorder and my painful sensitivity to people touching me but Wilson was very caring and patient throughout the whole time he worked with me. He asked if I was ok throughout the process and was gentle when necessary. He did an awesome job on my nails for Christmas and really nailed the designs I was aiming for from some photos I saw on Pinterest. Get it? "nailed" ha I have also gone to see Sarah a few times and she's also excellent. One of my girlfriends exclusively sees sarah and after Sarah did my nails the first time, I can totally see why! She keeps your acrylic nice and thin and is a perfectionist like her pal, Wilson. So far, I have left extremely pleased with both Sarah and Wilson's work with zero complaints. Lastly, I have to give them props for always having on a good movie with closed captioning for us to watch while we're getting pampered. What a great touch! Thanks Ann! See you all soon. xo

This is the 3rd time I have gone here. Shame on me! I called ahead for an appointment and requested a nail tech hoping to establish a relationship. I was told I had one. I showed up on time and signed in indicating in the column provided WHICH nail tech I was requesting and the fact that I had an appointment. It seemed it didn't matter, and the request was ignored. I sat there watching the tech I requested getting people sent to her booth. I waited figuring she was double booked. This was a weekday, but busy anyway. I waited over half and hour and was finally invited to have a foot soak while waiting for my pedi part of the appointment. I soaked for over half a hour more. When a young man came over to take care of me, I figured I would get my nail tech later. Since, I soaked so long, my feet were so water logged that when he tried to excise any callouses, the metal scraper made the bottom of my foot bleed. I never did get the nail tech I requested. I didn't realize he did such a lumpy job with the polish till they dried and I had already been there for 3 hours after I finally got "pot luck" with another nail tech. I was so aggravated by then! I could have polished my own toes better (which I did when I got home). The nail tech I did get was OK though not very friendly. The last older fella I had the last time I was there when I made a slight request concerning the shape of my nails threw his hands up like he didn't have a clue and said just let him do his job. And I came back WHY? That's why I asked for the fist tech I ever had. This is the only nail salon I have ever been in that allows its employees to wear ear pieces and talk on the phone while servicing patrons. They whoop it up talking and laughing (at who knows what in their native language--laughing with friends or at the patrons?). In order to get their attention, you have to waive your hands where they can see them. This is a rather rude practice! I was there for over 3 hours AGAIN! Why did I do this? Certainly not their prices or courtesy. Just to go somewhere closer to home? It would have taken less time if I had an hour and a half round trip drive elsewhere. They are obviously so busy they don't need MY business nor will they get it again or any of my friends for that matter who have also expressed concern since discussing this last experience.

No chip by Ann. Love my nails! Too bad she couldn't make my hands look younger

I have been going here for years and have always had a good experience with Ann. She really takes her time and never makes me feel like she is rushing to get to the next client. She is also very gentle and careful not to hurt you. She really takes pride in her work and wants you to be 100% happy before you leave. She is always willing to make things right if you don't love your nails. It's always best to make an appointment because this is a very busy and popular salon. Lots of loyal customers. I also like that they don't push other services on you or try to upsell. That is so frustrating and it makes the client feel used not appreciated.

I Had a wonderful experience. I booked a group (5) of us for my sister's bday. They were very accommodating when I had to call several times to add and confirm the head count. Several things I liked about my service : they were very kind, offered us drinks, and took their time on our services and my nail polish was does beautifully. A pet peeve of mine is going to a salon and they rush my service. They, however, did a thorough job, long and relaxing massages and took the time to clean up around my nails. No messiness of nail polish on my skin. I had a gentleman and Ann both work on my mani/pedi and they both did a great job. Overall i felt the place was clean. I had never been here before and would def recommend trying them out!

WARNING!! Do NOT GO TO THIS SALON! My daughters and I started going to the salon about four months ago. My oldest daughter got a pedicure and within a few weeks her toe became very sore and swollen to the point where she could barely wear a shoe. I took her back to the nail salon and they said she had an ingrown toenail. The owner Ann, cut the inground toenail out causing my daughter to bleed for over 45 minutes! They literally refused to finish her pedicure, nor the other services she went there to get done. She left this salon, bleeding through a Band-Aid, barley able to walk!! Then the owner told me if I didn't like it I should've taken her to a doctor! So now I'm taking my daughter to the HOSPITAL because her entire toe is infected and she needs an antibiotic! And here's the best part..... I was still charged by the salon!!!!

Ann Nails & Spa is the best around! I walked in and they took me immediately. I did a no-chip manicure and pedicure and they look perfect! Hannah did both and she is awesome! The manicure was $30 and the pedicure is normally $35 but I did the paraffin wax one so it was $65. My feet have never been this soft!! Thank you guys!!

Walgreens fake nails look better, I'm at post for words. If you go only see Ann or Sarah

Tony is great, had him for the first time today and my nails came out perfect! Ann is always good as well. Never a disappointment. They're always busy so they move fast but your nails never look rushed!

Did not trim natural nails underneath fake. Did not remove glue. Nails different lengths.

Don't waste your money. First visit, 3 nails popped off within 2 weeks. Thought I'd give them another try to be fair. Made appt and they gave me someone else. He did not listen to what I wanted and did not trim my natural nails, fake nails are different lengths, left glue on back of nails, and a space between polish and nail bed that I will need to get filled within a week. Asked him up front to cut my cuticles. He got an attitude when I reminded him and pretended to do it. He did not ask me about nail shape, and finished nails how HE wanted. Very poor work. I try to support small businesses, but I will never go here again! Also got a pedicure and he was very ruff. $100 gone, and I will need to go somewhere else within a week. Buyer beware. Don't waste your time or money here. There are plenty of other nail spas that are happy to do what you ask of them, are proud of their work and do not have an attitude. This place is not one of them. Very unhappy.

Due to COVID it had a havoc effect on me. Olga knew all of this because after three years I consider her as a friend. I had a waxing appointment for Thursday February 16, 2023 for 11:30. Enroute to the spa I had to activate my new debt card and my bank has extreme measures for activating a new card. You have to either make a trasciation using the pin they provided or you could use it at an ATM using the pin they provided. I tried both attempts and neither was working it was saying wrong pin. I reached to the owner and her text were very friendly and understanding; then at 6:30 I get a text saying I was no longer welcomed. I was stunned and as soon as she sent the text message she then blocked me. Not only was I a long standing monthly appointments at the spa; I also referred over 10 people with each one scheduling and having at least one service and trip to the salon.

I had a facial and whatever they put on face at the burn so badly there was no warning it might hurt before using it. Terrible experience.
