I've lived in flint for awhile, and I've seen most of the places around for food. But not this one!…read moreI decided to order a few things from here on my lunch break to try it out. And I was so surprised on how amazing and incredibly impressive it was. I called about a half hour ahead so they could have ample time to make everything in the order. I came in, the store was very clean and had a very nice dimly lit, Italian Mob style decor and ambience to it. It was so fun to see the Sopranos on a mural in the dining area as I went to pick up my food. It was new and unique. I went to the cashier to pick up my food, and she greeted me with a smile and efficient service. She asked me important questions like if I needed ranch, napkins, a receipt, a drink, that sort of thing. It was good to see that even on the front line? The kitchen ensures that everything is brought out exactly as (if not better than) the customer ordered. I believe the owner came out as well for a brief moment. He struck me initially as a very strong business owner and a kind personality with both employees, and customers alike. I got my food and drink, and when I went back to work to eat it, I was incredibly shocked! It was still hot from the fryer, they put the perfect amount of sauce on the chicken, the corn bites were hot and fresh as well. I wasn't expecting to be blown away by a simple chicken plate, but I'm glad to be surprised. Overall? Go here. Get some chicken! Get a few sides too! It may be a mid-level price point for chicken, but it is so worth the few extra dollars for excellent service, clean store, and even better food. I'm very difficult to impress with food. Wing Fellas on 4242 Miller Road has exceeded all expectations and passed every test with flying colors. Like I said before? Go here as soon as you can. You will NOT regret it!!!!! If I could give them 10 stars I would. I have to settle for 5. But it's just not enough.

This is a surprise place. My husband looked up best burgers in Flint and this place came up. The…read moresurprise, it is a tiny slice of a restaurant in a random gas station on your way in or out of town. This seems to be a franchise or chain from Texas making good burgers and shakes. While it first appears to be a little sketchy, the food is quality and delicious. We each had a burger. I have a bacon cheeseburger. It was so big, it did last until next day, and I always measure a burger in two ways, how does it taste first day and how does it taste next day. This burger was such high quality, it did not taste like a fast burger, it was restaurant style and quality. The fries as well. They seem to be Board Walk fry style and you can also get sweet potato. They portions were so big, we had to bring home four portions of fries since we all upgraded to a meal deal. You can get a shake with your meal instead of a soda, but they were more like concretes or blizzards, ready to eat with a spoon, so thick and delicious. I had the peanut butter cup with so many fat chunks of candy, it was exactly how I hoped it would taste. Yes, it was so good, I would drive back out here just to get a burger. I am not sure now far it is from me, maybe an hour? But I would drive an hour for this good of a burger. There was also a nice steady stream of customers, so you know others in the area must know how good this place is, a real hidden gem. If the company or franchiser is looking to expand in MI, we would love to see a location open up in Oakland County or the surrounding area. The people working here were very nice, helpful and friendly, but the woman manning the counter seemed very sick. She had a mask on and was coughing and sneezing. It would not be a problem, except she continuously took off her mask to talk to us and other customers, she took it off to cough and sneeze and wipe her nose on herself. It did not seem like proper food code and I am not sure if she washed her hands, and she did handle food, since she brought all bags and trays out to customers creating tons of cross contamination. I agree, some of us do need to work when we are not feeling well, but she could have and should have kept the mask on and frequently washed hands if she needed to touch or blow her nose. Other than that, it was perfect.

It's located inside the gas station at Bristol and Lennon near Miller Road and the airport, an easy stop with plenty of parking plus a Coffee Beanery and convenience store all in one spot. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, even pointing out the "secret menu" posted near the register (check the photos). Service felt welcoming right from the start. The fries were fresh-cut with skins on, creamy inside with a light crisp outside. I personally would've liked them cooked just a touch longer, but flavor-wise they were solid. Portions are generous across the board. I ordered the double bacon burger and it was loaded with meat, definitely not a skimpy fast-casual burger. The potato bun tasted great but had a hard time containing everything. Bacon was nicely cooked, and the real standout was the Mooyah sauce, closer to a yum yum-style sauce than a traditional burger spread. The shakes were thick and creamy without being overly sweet, and the fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies were a great surprise. Only minor downside was waiting about 10 minutes for a takeout box since they were kept in the kitchen while staff managed orders up front. Overall, great value, big portions, and a strong first impression for a new Flint location. I'd absolutely come back, though next time I'd stick with a single burger since the portions are more than enough. PS. Don't forget to sign up for the rewards program for free stuff.

There were 9 people working in the kitchen alone, and the place was packed. Despite that, we had swift and super friendly service. The place was also very clean and I'm sure that they had to remodeled since 1966 because even though it was vintage, the vinyl and such looked new. They had fried cauliflower and fried mushrooms. Oh my! I asked our waitress which was better, and she said she loved the cauliflower. She offered to have it dipped in buffalo sauce because that's how she loves it. Well absolutely! She added ranch for good measure, and let me tell you. It was homemade and the cauliflower was spicy and brilliant. It was the perfect start to my meal. It was also huge, so I had to take it home. Oooo! Midnight snack. I'm going to the kitchen right after I finish writing. I ordered a gyro with french fries and it was perfectly seasoned and came with onions, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce. It arrived wrapped in foil like a big burrito. I was full of cauliflower and not really in the mood for fries, but they were light and delicious. I didn't eat them all, but I ate a lot more than I thought I would. Dad got the blueberry pancakes with sausage, Amy got hash browns, fried eggs and turkey sausage links, and Estelle got a Philly beef and Swiss with French fries. She said the onions and peppers were on the bottom. She said it was good, but Big John's was better. We were SO FULL. They give really big portions. In fact, when we got to Dad's, Amy, Dad and I all fell asleep in our respective chairs and slept about 2 hours. Now that's some carb loading food coma! Would I go back again? Heck yeah. I just told my son about the place.

Once I got seated, my order of coffee and ice water with lemon was delivered with great haste, and I had some time to peruse the menu. This isn't some place you go for organic specials or free-range kale - this is a classic American diner. I asked for a half order of French Toast (meow favorite) with bacon and eggs, soft scrambled. It came out much faster than I expected. The bacon was good, nicely salted... the eggs were letting down the side though. They were cold in spots but cooked exactly to order, so maybe they were done before the rest of the order....? The French Toast was on point and hitting hard. Servers came by on the regular to deliver fresh coffee while I made notes on house hunting. Payment was quick and easy. Andes after-dinner mints are available for 25 cents each at the time of writing. I will definitely be back - might not be a "regular" depending on where I end up living - but this place definitely requires meow further investigation.
