I had a 9:30 AM appointment and was there for nearly 4 hours, only to leave unhappy with my nails. The biggest issue was communication. I showed the nail tech both a photo and a video of the design I wanted, but she barely looked at them and didn't communicate with me throughout the service. I clearly asked for a cat eye design only at the top of the nail, blended downward. Instead, she did a full cat eye on the entire nail. When I pointed it out, she rolled her eyes, seemed annoyed, and removed everything. She then tried to do a French tip version of cat eye, which still wasn't what I asked for. I tried to explain and show her the video and picture again, but she became visibly frustrated, made faces, called another tech over, and walked away without saying anything to me. The second tech was kind and did try to help but I had to wait over an hour to be helped by her. She checked in with me on each nail and asked if I liked it, and I did appreciate that. However l, I just wanted to show her the picture and for her to go based off of that, but it seemed that both of them didn't just want to look at it closely and then do my nails from that. At one point, I left the picture open and towards her so she can reference it, but she wouldn't look at it . Over all, because everything felt rushed, it also made the situation uncomfortable, like I was being overly critical or didn't know what I wanted, when I had already provided a clear reference. Despite her effort, the work still felt rushed. The final result was closer to what I had asked for, but the shaping was uneven and overall the work felt sloppy. There was also no proper cleanup under the Gel X nails, and I had to fix that myself at home. Overall, the lack of communication, dismissive attitude, and rushed work made this a really disappointing experience.

They easily last at least a month! The salon is quiet and nestled on the second floor of a fairly busy plaza. After my mani/pedi, I treat myself to a donut on the first floor. The employees here are all super nice and welcoming. I don't request anyone upon booking as I'm happy with any of the technicians' services. Extra thank you to the owner, Linda, for accommodating my change in appointment time last minute today. I know it was busy given the day before thanksgiving, and could not be happier with her customer service. 10/10 recommend this salon!!!

I have gotten builder gel with Kristine. Gel-x with Aggy & Melonia and plenty of pedicures by different technicians. My nails no matter the service always last well over 2-3 weeks. With the cost of nails longevity is very important. Aside from that this is a clean and welcoming space. Any design requested is always executed well. My most recent service was a green Cateye medium gel and it was just perfect to the picture I showed.

Sadly, within a week one nail cleanly popped off (and a few days after so did another). They stayed put for the weekend, but that was about it. I also think the nails were too big for my (very narrow) nail beds, which I'm sure contributed to the nails lifting early. I also noticed a fair amount of gel cured on my skin afterwards, even though my manicurist did swipe the sides of my nail with acetone as she went. I really liked the people here as they were so friendly, but sadly I don't think I'll be back for Gel-X.

It was my first time visiting Oblix and there was not a single sign indicating the parking was reserved for Painted Pretty. I walked inside and politely asked the woman if she could move her car because I was blocked in and had somewhere to be. Instead of helping, she told me she couldn't move it for another hour and a half and refused to do anything about it. It takes two seconds to move a car, and I asked very nicely. She ended up making me wait 30 minutes before finally moving it, and at one point even threatened to call the police for absolutely no reason. The entire interaction was unnecessarily hostile and incredibly unprofessional. I'm honestly shocked a business would treat people this way. With customer service like this, I would never trust them to do my nails again. What's even more disappointing is that I've actually been here before as a paying customer.

On one visit they scraped way too deep with the callous remover on my foot drawing a lot of blood. I yelped in pain and the technician felt bad and brought me band-aids. It was an accident but the owner not only didn't apologize or acknowledge that it happened (she was there the whole time), she was visibly angry that I made a commotion and was extremely rude to me and my party for the rest of the visit. When we checked out, she coldly said she removed the callous treatment from my bill. I didn't come back for a year or so, but decided to give it a try for my daughter's GelX nails. They completely botched them (see images), did a sloppy job all around, and tried to blame us by saying they couldn't do the marbled effect in the inspo image, but they never made that clear (huge language barrier) or we wouldn't have proceeded. We nicely asked if there was a different technician who might be more skilled at doing what we requested and they said no. So we asked them to remove the nails and they told us they didn't have time (there were no other customers in the salon and there were three technicians). They told us to call the salon phone number and talk to the owner, who then ordered them to remove the nails. The owner said she was an hour away so would not be able to help us, but then miraculously appeared from the back but did not want to see the photos of the bad work. While she gave us a refund, this review is about the attitude and complete lack of customer service. Had she acknowledged it wasn't right and tried to make it right in a somewhat friendly way, we probably still would have returned. Shame on us for giving it another try but won't make that mistake again.

I like to go every three weeks but even when I have to wait an extra week or two my manicure is still holding up and getting compliments 4 to 5 weeks later. So happy I found her, 10 out of 10 amazing job.
