We've been a loyal customer since we first saw Soane and his family at the swap meat in 2009! Soane is simply the best when it comes to hand carvings! He does awesome work and is so creative. He always makes it look so easy... even when he's injured he still carves away and makes beauty. He comes from a long line (I think he's 4th generation) of hand carvers and it really does show in his work. Whenever we are in town we always stop by and visit since they are always at the swap meet! Check out their Facebook page for updates on location as the booth does move sometimes. You won't get a better hand carved authentic keepsake on the island!

My treasured art piece I even carried it all the way home on the plane in my carry on bag:D

I went to the swap meet and came across these amazing, talented, gracious people. I looked all over the island for something hand made and personalized to take home with me. I found it at a swap meet of all places. I got this incredible hand made bowl with a turtle, waves & flower carved on it. Then this beautiful talented woman carved Ohana and my 3 kids & my on it. I was able to watch her crave, I was truly honored to watch her work and see the gift God has given her come to life. I go to the island once or twice a year to visit family. Every year these amazing people I will look for so I can continue to collect their art. Truly amazing to have a piece of their art. Please yelpers help these amazing people prosper. Happy Yelping

Uniquely Kawaii…read more.. That's what CAS Crafts & Collectibles is, located in Pearlridge Center this little kiosk cart is filled to the brim top to bottom with all thinks kawaii not just stationaries and accessories but plushies and decor. Pearlridge Center is filled with many places anime and Kpop though here they just seem to find items that aren't found anywhere else and at such great prices what a find to see items that are so special and makes my gift giving a breeze! What a find including some Line Friends items which is just the most difficult ones to find and they have it here yay!! My bestie have apparently discovered this place which I have known for quite some time but haven't had the chance to write a review but they certainly deserve the five stars for the selection and friendly staff who points out the matching item to pair with whatever direction I'm going and that's a ten star team! Thank you!

How can I resist? Located between TJ Maxx and Macy's, this section of Pearlridge used to be called Downtown, but now, it's Wai Makai. I wasn't going to buy anything... Really... We had just finished breakfast and had time before lunch... CAS Crafts & Collectables has so many cute items - pens, stationary, keychains, plushies, etc. I actually found Brown and Choco pillows from Line Friends (the Korean version of Sanrio). I had to get the Brown plushie for my friend's birthday next month! She'll luv it!!! I don't want to show her the Brown and Cony angel plushies... There was only one... and it was priced lower than an online store (plus - avoid paying shipping)!!! It's also better to get items from this kiosk - rather than going to Korea to buy them! Haha! Come take a look! There are unique things here! ... and service was very friendly and helpful!

If only want service it'll be a bit hard but if one goes to the office supplies room there's someone there to help . The customers service personnel knows how to properly handle their clients questions it'll help us. Yes we know it's a warehouse type setting but it'll also be nice to have staff asking us if we need help instead of jumping into me like I'm going to shop lift! Hey I was a store detective I know your staff intentions! Why in the huge warehouse I picked one pen and a set of pens for my work is not right when a staff came into where I stood? I am an artist therefore I check what type of inventory your store has one might have so I take my time looking into! I doubt it I'll go back again anytime soon! Buying cute bunny fabric for face masks…read more.. If you're into sewing face masks, you'll know that the supply of fabric is limited. Walmart's selection is quite scarce while Fabric Mart is well stocked with the basics, Japanese designs, and Hawaiian prints. Korean material is almost non-existent on Oahu. However, my friend, Donna O., spotted some on Instagram. There's a local vendor named 808 Craft and Gift Fairs. The business page showed some really cute patterns, especially Cony (the white bunny from Line Friends) fabric! I messaged the business and was invited to come over and take a look. I arrived in Pacific Palisades in Pearl City, Oahu in the afternoon. It was perfect timing because the owner, Lauren, was outside and finishing up with the customer before me. She invited me onto her property (with her guard dog) to check out items in her silver colored van. The front passenger seat was filled with face masks made in Korea. There were children's sizes as well as adult sizes. Lauren showed me the quality stitching and the wire nose guards which prevent fogging on eyeglasses. The back of the van held the fabrics. They're currently going for $25 for two yards. Some were linen, some were solids, and some were kawaii prints. I focused on the pandas for my nieces and the sloths for my friend, Dear Daniel... lol! Lauren also pointed out the soft, durable Japanese elastic. It's good for replacing elastic that will eventually stretch out. We don't think that there will be an end to this COVID-19 lifestyle, so, we may as well be prepared and have fresh elastic on hand. Right now, she's offering 100 yards (black or white, 1/8 inch width) for $35. Note: If you bring cash or use venmo, there's a slight discount. Service is outstanding because Lauren is so knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. (It turns out that she married my friend's cousin.) She encouraged me to sew faster so that I can return next week and purchase more fabric... hahaha! P.S. 808 Craft and Gift Fairs sponsor virtual craft fairs that reach all 50 states! Contact Lauren via Instagram to find out more!

You an order a bunch of things on their website, but they also have different items at the fairs. If you order online, you also can pick them up at the fairs, although some times online are not featured at the fairs. haha, works both ways. I most recently visited them at the Christmas Local Crafts and Food Expo (I think that's what it was called). They have a lot of great earrings, key chains, cell phone charms, etc in many types of cute shapes like cup cakes, sushi, ramen, shaved ice, etc. They even custom make items. they made me a Japanese themed key chain with salmon nigiri (one of my can never go wrong favorites), chopsticks, and sake! haha. Their service at the craft fairs is quite good. The gentleman who's always there (forgot his name, sorry!!), is very friendly and quite informative. He is also very flexible, he's the one who custom made my key chain. :) 4-stars! Because the service is good, the quality of my items seem to be good (it hasn't broken yet), and I like that they are at local craft fairs.
