The staffing is pretty decent with lot of float pool nurse filling in the shortage gap. The nurse to patient ratio of 1:4 is nice, the hospital has a lot of resources to help the staff, and the cafeteria offer a diverse range of food. Many staff ride bike on campus so there are a lot of bike rack area to store your ride. Staff have to park off site and take a bus to the main hospital. It annoying that during the football season staff have to park somewhere else or risk getting ticketed/towed. All in all, a pretty good place to work at.

Dr. Matthew Reilley happens to be the only specialist in my rare condition and I was referred to him last summer due to fear of potential spread. He is the nicest doctor I've ever encountered of any specialty, genuinely. He celebrates wins with you and is willing to see you as a unique patient. Even his staff has amazing things to say about him. On my last visit, I accidentally drove to the hospital rather than the Pantops location, which resulted in arriving late to my appointment. I felt terrible about it, but they were all soooo absurdly nice and still let me be seen, which I know is NOT the norm in medical practices. Overall, hopefully Dr. Reilley will remain my oncologist for the long haul.

From Jessica the scheduler, the intake nurse, Rachel, Kim, Caroline, and Dr. Reed. They are patient and I never feel rushed. I know if I wait a couple minutes for Dr. Reed it is because he is giving another patient the exact same high level of care. I drive 3 hours each way every 2 weeks and would drive further to get to this team. Dr. Reed answers every question, checks back to ensure I understand everything he says. Rachel always comes in after and ensures I understand and walks me out. I can't ask for better or more compassionate care. Once I found this cancer center, A load was taken off my shoulders and placed on my medical team. My job is to fight cancer, they not only join me in that fight but I feel they are shouldering the responsibility and I have complete faith in them. I'm a doctor (not medical) and Dr. Reed and Rachel treat me as an educated person, allow me a seat at the table for my treatment planning, and I cannot ask for more. I feel empowered in my treatment planning, and I cannot ask for more. This is the second Cancer Center I have been to. Hands down, the experience is night and day.
