Unfortunately, I had to have a personal experience when my 5 year old son experienced a bad fall at school fracturing both bones in his LFA. The resulting ER experience was one of the BEST I have ever had. No one wants to go to a hospital first off as the medicines are gross, shots hurt, procedures are uncomfortable, and usually there is an overall cold-type of feeling about everything. All of this in combination that its SCARY for a 5 year old!! Dr. Russell E. Buss M.D. and the nursing and imaging staff were ALL very good in caring for my child letting him take the lead and restoring some form of control back to him, they worked around my wife's fears and uncertainties and Dr. Buss was even receptive enough to take alternative routes of medication administration suggestions from myself (My son is deathly afraid of needles) and being a prior service medic I know some other methods. Everything considered I couldn't have asked for better hands to treat my family during this situation and am very grateful for their level of expertise, professionalism and most importantly their compassion for a scared child and parent. The staffing is pretty decent with lot of float pool nurse filling in the shortage gap. The nurse to patient ratio of 1:4 is nice, the hospital has a lot of resources to help the staff, and the cafeteria offer a diverse range of food. Many staff ride bike on campus so there are a lot of bike rack area to store your ride. Staff have to park off site and take a bus to the main hospital. It annoying that during the football season staff have to park somewhere else or risk getting ticketed/towed. All in all, a pretty good place to work at.

Rates are set by insurance and hospitals and it is a money game none of us understand. On to the staff; top notch! I was always informed as to my status except for how long I was going to be there. They cannot predict when you will get a CT scan or Xray because they can't see the cue and can't tell which patients have priority. They are not slow rolling you because they charge you by the hour. They want you treated and gone more than you do. These folks hustle and know their business. I drove extra to come here over other options and I'm glad I did. If you're mad because you got checked out late at night, remember that Taco Bell has a fourth meal. I'm gonna get tacos when I'm released.

I'd only been to Martha Jeff on pantops for labs…read morebefore, where there's a pleasant waiting room just for labs and everyone is seen within 15 minutes. I had an ultrasound scheduled at this profit rd location and showed up 50 minutes early, assuming I'd have plenty of time to get labs taken before. There's one small waiting room for a bunch of kinds of testing (labs, ultrasounds, mammograms, etc.), and it was packed and had one receptionist. Many people were complaining about wait times, and the receptionist seemed to be both overwhelmed and putting people in different order based on who complained the most. I didn't get my labs done before my appointment, and 1.5 hours later when I got out, my name still hadn't been called. This was such a stark contrast to the other Martha Jeff facility that I will never be back.

Dr.Li is an excellent surgeon. He correctly diagnosed a spine problem that had caused me to have constant pain for nearly a decade. I had seen 3 other surgeons and a host of other doctors who were unable to help me. He performed a spinal fusion that was life changing for me, and he was so kind and helpful.

The pain from the accident was bad enough but the incompetence and neglect from this place is what truly traumatized me. One hand does not know what the other 10 hands are doing and there is not enough space or nurses to care for people properly. This has to be the most inefficient and poorest managed place I have ever encountered. To add insult to injury, my bill for this horrible care was over $60,000! The only good thing I can say is most of the nurses that are there work really hard and try their best under terrible circumstances.
