Nurse Ashley "accidentally" "forgot to scan Pain Medicine like Oxycontin, Morphine and then puts them in pockets of her scrubs when she "accidentally" knocks out IV to administer the strong Opioids. That is called Insurance FRAUD to Pretend to Administer Medicine AND Bill Patient's Insurance BUT NOT give the Medicine to the Person who is Prescribed the Medication. This happened 3 times and is NO accident and clear sign of Addiction of Nurse and Doctor "Good" who displays behavior and anger of Addicted Person. This is a major Liability and Risk that UVA should take very seriously. Several in ER Reported this and nothing was done about it. Dr. Good and Ashley should be "written up" and fired for Treating Patients with Disrespect, Hostility and failing their sworn Oath of "Do NO Harm" No Patient wants to hear Staff Members Yelling at ANY one or failing to give Medication TO the PATIENT when it is logged TO the PATIENT..........

I should never have used the ER facilities at this hospital. I was there on a holiday and my nurse…read moreand the others present basically ignored me. First the bed was not plugged in. So I could not call for a nurse. I had to shout out the door until someone plugged it in. And the nurse assigned to me entered my medical information incorrectly. She also provided inadequate instructions for medicine and failed to come to my room when I called her. I ended up taking of my monitoring equipment myself to go use the restroom. She was sitting at the desk the whole time nearby with two other staff members. Then when the doctor said I was ready for discharge she didn't come in to discharge me. I went to the door and saw her exit the ER. I asked another two nurses to discharge me telling them I had a family emergency and really needed to leave. They refused. One covered up where my nurse went saying she was attending to a patient when I know she exited the ER and I assume was on not working as the exit goes out of the hospital. About an hour later my nurse came back and walked past me without talking to me. The other nurse who refused to help me leave earlier now came in and took the IV out and gave me my paperwork. I then saw that my assigned nurse had put inaccurate information into the computer during my intake about my symptoms. When I asked for a correction the other nurse said that the mistake didn't matter. When I insisted that it did matter she said she would get my nurse to correct it. And I was further delayed from leaving. Both nurses were unprofessional and rude. I was sent out the door in socks...not provided any booties. The worst thing of all was due to the unnecessary delay in my release I lost a loved one and never got to say goodbye. I sent a grievance into the hospital and their response stated that the nurses did everything right. I wrote again and they still refused to apologize or follow up. No accountability whatsoever. I will never return to this hospital. Horrible experience. Oh and then I got the outrageously inflated bill. I am devastated.

Idiots with stethoscopes. I moved to the area and needed a provider. My first visit was for a sore…read more"trigger finger". Simple stuff. Generally in good health. I've been married 33 years, and they wanted an std test, blood. I agreed. Next, they wanted an observed urine sample to check for drug use, I did not agree. Next they wanted me to sign a contract, generally holding them blameless and allowing them to perform testing without my agreement or acknowledgement. They insisted the drug test was a federal requirement. (They either lied or are severely ignorant of federal requirements.) My attitude is that if these folks have to go to such lengths as lying about federal requirements, any hope of future honest relations is nonexistent, their professionalism is suspect. During the follow up, second visit, they still insisted on the drug test, even after being informed of the federal regulation they supposedly were following (and misinterpreting.) They refused to treat, I left. Congratulations for being in violation of two federal regulations! My opinion is to avoid these these folks like the plague. Follow up: Good intentions mired in bad execution. The facility provides care on a sliding cost scale, so, I paid premium prices (high income) for the same treatment afforded to homeless drug addicts. Problem is, high income folks do not like to be treated like homeless drug addicts and are familiar with most laws and regulations. By driving away higher income patients, the place becomes little more than the community free clinic, where one is treated by a nurse no better educated than the local high school nurse, and the occasional MD. Their attempts to treat people equally denigrates a population that pays the taxes to keep them in business. MY opinion, , judge for yourself!
