I had a bad fall on February 21 and injured my left arm. I was seen February 23 at UVa Culpeper…read moreMedical Center Orthiopaedics by PA Elena Saykaly. Elena is extremely nice and very competent. She reviewed the x-rays for my painful, bruised left arm and determined I had no fractures and it is likely sprained. She explained everything SO well and told me things I had never known about bones! She had me make a future appointment in case my arm does not heal in 10 days and she will x-ray me again. Her nurse, JILL, was extremely helpful fitting me with a ProCare brace to wear for the 10 days. It's very comfortable and feels secure and good on my arm. I also want to compliment Receptionist DANIELLE without whom I would never have had this appointment! She found it for me when I desperately needed to see someone after my fall. Danielle is always there when we go to Orthopaedics or Podiatry and is the most efficient, cheerful person I know! Thank you to everyone for excellent care!! Annie Rowe, Madison, VA.

Honestly, if I could rate this practice negative stars I certainly would. Let's start by the…read moreunprofessional treatment patients receive at this practice. This practice treats patients like an inconvenience. Patients are brought in after lengthy waits and then they are seen by interns. The interns are quite disrespectful in their approach. On one particular day, I witnessed an intern being asked MULTIPLE times to stop touching a patient's body as they were causing extreme pain, they IGNORED the patient's directive to stop touching them and continued to do so. This is an outrageous act by any medical provider. Especially when you consider that patients coming to this practice cannot physically move their body away from a person or situation as easily as someone who is not injured. I called to report this act and the proper attention was not given to this matter. Additionally, the physicians at this practice do not seem to care about the needs of the patient. They quickly pop in a room after the interns and do not adequately address the concerns of patients. I do not recommend this facility unless you want to pay someone to ignore your actual needs and treat you like a number instead of a human.

I recently finished up treatment and PT with COC for a knee and back issue. Thank you to Natalie…read moreand other staff for great medical treatment and advice; and to Matthew and Hannah for a successful series of therapy sessions. All are true professionals. There are too many others to name, but just want to say that everyone in the office has a caring, helpful and friendly attitude. A particular shout out to Office Manager, Denise, for doing an excellent job "keeping the train running on time." Thank you, COC. I'm sure that our paths will cross again.

i saw Matt for physical therapy for CRPS snd he showed me very little respect, empathy or…read morecompassion. He hooked me up to a negative contrast machine and I told him it was hurting as tears streamed down my face. He cracked joke with another patient across the room "Darlene thinks she's in Matt's pain clinic". I didn't find it humorous at all. He acted like I just didn't want to exercise, but I was in an extreme amount of pain for which he had no compassion. He left that machine on my foot that felt like it was burning my skin off He stated it was on the lowest temperature snd seemed exasperated with me. The assistant showed more compassion than he did, but she had to do what he said. She apologized on his behalf. He refused to take it off. Prior to my few visits with Matt I had the cold version of CRPS. My foot was always ice cold and often blue or purple. After him using this machine for 25 minutes it always on fire. My surgeon said Matt was too aggressive with the machine with my nerve injury snd my nerve will now likely stay this way. Matt, you harmed me and you treated me poorly while you did it. I was kind to you. You were stressed because your children were in the were out of school with you at work, and I was trying to help you entertain them while you helped patients. I don't know why you felt you had the right to treat me the way you did. It was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I'm so angry at you for what you've done to my foot. It's in even more intense pain than before I saw you. You need to learn to listen to your patients. You told me I needed to do what you said or my ankle was going to be stuck like that when I was in intense pain. You said it to embarrass me if front of other people. That is not helping the situation. I didn't need you to act that way. You even said "'m not here to be your friend". Firstly, I didn't ask you to be and secondly that doesn't sound like someone who wants to help me. I've waited a long time before writing this review. I decided to go ahead with it, because you damaged my foot for life. i was recovering from a nerve wrap surgery and you chose to heat it up and now it's good and mad. Before coming to you I was making some progress at least able to walk some, but once this foot got put into a fire its changed everything. I'm really disabled now. I'm having to get a spine stimulator. I just want you to think next time. Be nicer and less cruel and judgmental. You have no ideal what I had been suffering with and I doubt you could have even handled it if your kids being if the office were stressing you out. I heard such good things about you, but you did not live up to them. Your knowledge about CRPS was not on point either.
