The staff can be very rude whether you're checking in or contacting them on the phone. Asking them to send in a prescription sounds like a major effort on their part. Maybe they're overworked but if they don't want to do their job, maybe it's time to find a new occupation. I recently switched to a new office. There is too much competition in the medical field to tolerate the poor attitudes at university physicians.

I'm sitting in an exam room and I needed to use the restroom when I went out to ask first of all no one paid attention and they acted annoyed when I disturbed them to ask them if I could use the restroom where is it and she just flippantly pointed her finger and said you have to go outside and down the hall by the elevators so in this very large office with many physicians and procedures you need to tell me you don't have a bathroom for your patients to use. What happens if one of the doctors wants a urinalysis, are you gonna tell them here take this pick up and go out in the hall and down by the elevators there are a lot of elderly people that come to cardiology offices and you're gonna tell them that they have to leave the exam room, actually leave the office go down the hall and around by the elevators to use a restroom. That is the most ridiculous thing in an office that I have seen yet that is extremely poor. patient care it's bad enough you get treated like a second class citizen when you come to the doctors, but when the office staff treats you with disrespect when I went to let one girl know that I was going to the bathroom I'd be right back she flipped her finger too instead I'm on the phone. Cory listens, asks questions and otherwise works to figure out exactly what's causing the pain and what needs to be done to eliminate it, including acknowledging mental components and the need for relaxation techniques. When I first came to Ivyrehab, I had not yet had an MRI but was told by the PT at assessment that…read moreit was unlikely that I had torn my mensiscus as I had none of the symptoms. I actually had all of them and the MRI revealed a complete tear. I hesitated to return but I was in a lot of pain and decided to give it a try. Through the month or so that I went to the center there was no consistency, no real indication of their grasping the degree of pain and diminished mobility I was experiencing, and no real focus on the task at hand. The therapists or interns changed at each session so if progress was made with a therapist, it was lost when another directed a different course. It was confusing. I felt somewhat better after each session but I never made the progress I had hoped to make. Just as I was starting to see some long term (more than a few hours) improvement the head therapist decides I need no more therapy. He relayed this information in a harsh, nearly rude manner. Of course I left and called the orthapedic surgeon who will be doing my PRP treatments and she recommended that I continue PT with one of her therapists until the PRP injection and afterwards for as long as its needed. Overall, I feel this practice is disorganized, unprofessional, and not focused on the individual clients. At times it has a hectic atmosphere that is distracting and out of control and not at all conducive to a healing experience. Therapists often work with multiple clients and are unable to focus or keep up with them. There are some good therapists there but it is not being adequately managed. I would recommend some corporate oversight to ensure that the center is brought up to a higher standard. I will not atend my next session or return to this center under any condition.
