    I was very disappointed with this service. I was in communication and sent pictures of what my vision was. I was simple and easy going and flexible and I feel I was taken advantage of. For the money I spent the mandap was done very cheap looking. I had a huge gazebo and wanted the dome to be draped to utilize the space and make it open and airy. I get a phone call in the morning as I am getting ready for the wedding that they dont have enough time to decorate and will not be able to design as we discussed. It was his job to coordinate with the venue but he was upset he showed up at 10am and the wedding was 4pm and allowed him to come 2 hours early. When I questioned the event manager she said she would allow him to come in at 10am but since she wasn't expecting him, the front security asked him to contact the office to get approval first and instead of coordinating with the office, took it as a no and left. When i talked to manager she said she was waiting for phone call but he never called. On top of the stress of knowing that my wedding ceremony was not going to be decorated as I had hoped, it was underwhelming and still charged me the full amount! It was cheap looking set up and if I could have done it myself I would have.

    We have used Utsav Events to decorate our Indian wedding ceremony and our reception. We met them a couple of times, looked through their catalog and previous set-up samples, and picked what we wanted for our wedding. We also wanted some items they didn't have in stock. They were very accommodating and got us everything we wanted. We also found ourselves in need of speakers and music during the Baraat and they were able to provide that on very short notice. The mandap structure they put together, the sweetheart table and the florals for the reception looked amazing. They matched our wedding theme, and we were happy with how everything turned out.

    This is a little late review. So Thankful to Utsav events and Sandeep and his team to bring my vision to reality for my 40th. I had decided to have my party with a Masquerade Theme. The main element was the Mask which Sandeep did an excellent job to research and order and my backdrop was just perfect with my selected colors just they way I wanted it. They went above and beyond to ensure We had the mask in time .Sandeep was always available just a text away to answer any inquiries and all my questions. Always welcoming at their warehouse where I selected all the other items that went with the decor. The set up and tear down was done Perfectly and professionally without any delays.     Delayed review, but when I found that this vendor was on Yelp, I could not resist to review them. I came across this vendor thru word of mouth during planning my wedding 2 years back. I was beginning to get frustrated with all the planning and pricing that came along. It was hard to find vendors that provided quality work and reasonable pricing. After contacting this vendor, my grandma and I went over to their warehouse when they had albums and loads of wedding related decor items. We were greeted by the owner and his wife, both seemed like very sweet people. After talking to them for an hour we arranged to have them come over to our house the following week to discuss further about the wedding event, what I was looking for and etc. The owner, Mr. Pradip assured me that he will be giving me my dream wedding and that everything will go exactly as I want. The following week we began discussing wedding details and my family and I were so won over by this charming man and his convincing will of providing us with the dream wedding that we decided to use them for all 3 of my wedding events (Holud, Mehndi and Wedding). We came to an agreement in regards to all the events and pricing. Also, Mr. Pradip told us that we would primarily be working with his son, Sandeep who will assist us with all the needs going forward. As days went by, we began to become more and more disappointed with their service ethics. For example, not answering their phone when we called, always arriving 2-3hours late on appointments, always having excuses, trying to provide us with alternative cheaper materials than what was agreed on etc. At this point I was so frustrated that I would have canceled using their service if I could, however my parents being who they are felt that it's wrong since they have given them their word already. Finally the time came for our first event, The Holud (Traditional Bengali Turmeric Ceremony). We rented out a banquet hall in an Indian Restaurant for this event and bought Ustav as the outside vendors to decorate the place. Let me make this sweet and short by saying that it was one of the worst decorations I had ever seen in my life! WOW! Seriously? We paid these people to put a couple of ugly colored clothing on the ceiling of the restaurant? If it wasn't my wedding, I would have been able to do a better job. I was beyond disappointed. Oh, and did I mention that they arrived to the venue almost 4-5hrs late? The last thing a girl needs during her wedding week is added stress by a vendor her family is paying to provide the best wedding ever. The second event, Mehndi Night (Henna Party). Again, late arrival. Excuse? Oh, there was traffic. They didn't do much for this event. Only thing they did was set up Christmas Lights all over the front of the house to make it look festive and provide us with the traditional wedding atmosphere. Though I must say that they used pretty good technology to have the whole front house lighted up with their LED system and changing laser beams. It was pretty cool. Perhaps the only thing I liked out of all the events. The final event, Wedding! Late, Late and late again. We were lucky that we were able to manage such a beautiful wedding hall in such short notice. My wedding was planned in less than 5months so you can imagine! The banquet hall was already beautiful and came with everything including the centerpieces, so the only request I had from the vendor, was to decorate the stage a bit. What I originally wanted was a stage covered with flowers, however that did not happen (the two flower bouquets you see on each side was purchased by me separately from Downtown LA and did not come with this vendor, only the two column stands did). The only thing the vendor did for this stage was cover the back walls with drapes and provide us with the sofa for the bride and groom (Mind you, this was not the sofa I requested). These people were just unbelievable! I could not believe how deceiving some people can be. They lured us into using them with their smooth techniques, and provided us with everything opposite of what was promised. I really hate giving bad reviews to businesses, but trust me I would give them negative stars if I could. I high recommend you trying to find another vendor before considering to use Utsav. Instead of providing you with your dream wedding, they will provide you with nothing but stress and nightmare!!

    We hired Utsav Events for our Baby Shower Dec 2021 and were very happy with the result! We had a baby Ganesh/carnival theme and Sandeep followed our vision to the "T". I was especially impressed because he and his team worked late in the night when we wanted to add a few last minute changes to the tent. Always with a smile on his face and very helpful! Pradip Bhai is so intuitive about what may pop up at an event, he covers all the bases. Everyone who attended the shower had nothing but praise for the setup, decore and layout. Utsav Events is a full service company that provides everything you'll need for your event! We didn't have to shop anywhere else, for the valet service, the carnival game booths, decorations, the bartender, the servers and the bus boys. One price and everything was covered! Simple, efficient, and easy to talk to! They made our baby shower one that was full of good, happy memories. Thank you Sandeep and Pradip Bhai!!!

    We have used the services of Utsav Events multiple times in the past 15 years and always have been very happy with our events. They are price sensitive and pay great attention to details and always off load party worries from us. We are happy to recommend them and glad to answer any referral inquiries. Apparently, it used to be a club, but has now changed into a very high-end and cool venue for weddings or whatever type of event you want to have. One of the first thing you notice when you turn in is the amount of ample parking. There are two secured Gates that open up to a huge parking lot, definitely not cramped for sure. And it has plenty of handicap spaces which is very nice. Walking into the open air pavilion, is a real treat. What a great space! This would be a great place for outside dining, or having a band play out there and dancing, if you didn't want to be cooped up inside. Definitely tons of possibilities at this venue! Inside, there is a bar on one end and a stage on the other with a huge open area. This would be perfect for a wedding or something that's held inside, if you did not want to brave the elements outside. Company on site, and can pretty much do anything you need. And that's not all, there is an upstairs area that is perfect for an overflow room, or a VIP lounge, or just a place for say a wedding party to take a break, or anything you really want to do with it. It even has a nice little outside courtyard that you can sit and get some fresh air. I could almost write a book about how awesome this place is but suffice to say if you live in Orange county and are looking for a premier venue to have your event at, I don't think you could do any better than the colony House. Although…read moreHeather communicated very well, there were a couple of incidents that I found slightly unprofessional: 1. I signed a contract with one of her staff as my wedding planner. Unfortunately, from my understanding, there were unexpected changes in the company, so Heather had to take over. However, Heather responded that she would make an exception for me and not charge me an additional $1000 for this change. With all due respect, I should not be financially penalized for changes that an owner experiences; especially since I already signed the contract that I financially agreed to. 2. I encountered a lot of life changes that disrupted my ability to move forward with a wedding that my brothers were supposed to be in. For instance, I had a depressed, suicidal brother, I had another brother leave for Japan for the Marines, and I had an uncle pass away. All vendors except for Heather were so kind to fully refund my deposits due to the situation. Unfortunately, Heather responded that she was still a businesswoman and was financially hurting, so she was in no place to offer a full refund. I basically paid Heather almost $500 to establish a simple contract. I already had all the vendors in place and organized, so this deposit was for nothing. Heather should not be held responsible for unexpected circumstances, but this wedding meant a lot to me. As a business owner, you should be able to compromise with your clients based on their situation. I could have easily used that deposit to help my family for the funeral. I find this situation absurd because I never wanted a wedding planner to begin with. Our wedding list was only 32 guests, but my fiancé insisted that we hire a planner because he did not want me to stress out. I admire him for caring, but this wedding was going to be a private and intimate event with very little management. I blame myself for hiring a wedding planner when I did not need one. It is unfortunate that Heather was thinking like a businesswoman and not a human being with empathy. Nonetheless, please make sure to ask about the refund policy for emergencies such as death, health, etc. Two stars are for her communication, but I can only evaluate Heather based on my experience with her before the wedding date. Therefore, I am unable to provide feedback for her day service since my wedding never happened. Has it ever occurred to you, Heather, that you had not heard from me in a year because I was busy dealing with other important things like planning a funeral? My wedding was the last thing on my mind. Also, I was not complaining about the charge that never happened, I am complaining about your response to your changes. There was no need to comment on that you are more expensive and won't be charging me. We could have proceeded forward with whatever it was we were doing. You contacted ONE venue and that is because they had YOU sign a contract with them. FYI, my pre-engagement photos were scheduled with the photographer I hired for my wedding and I was still refunded the full amount. This vendor did not work for free either and still managed to prioritize customer service over money. You are a business owner and have the liberty to do as you please, but you must have needed the money more than I did, so I hope my contributions helped your business. Nonetheless, well done on your communication. If you have a family member with a life-threatening illness or you have a medical condition that may require potential hospitalization, please do not hire Heather as your wedding planner as she will not refund you the deposit because not make exceptions for your situation simply because she does not "work for free." Her and her assistant, Courtney, handled E V E R Y T H I N G on the day of our wedding at the Estate on Second and then some. If there was any sort of problem, she had the solution. Our venue already provided catering and bar services so we elected to do the day-of-wedding planning package. We were planning from NorCal which made it challenging in many ways. Jen had several check in's with us over the months and was extremely responsive via e-mail when we requested assistance, such as needed recommendations for late night snacks. She knew all the best vendors in the area so we felt reassured with our vendor line up with her green light. We were also grateful that she was flexible with our tight schedules when we drove down to SoCal. I was a cricut bride and I had A LOT of DIY decor and activity ideas. Jenny was always encouraging yet realistic. She knew or would figure out how to best execute my vision and always had a back up plan which made me feel so secure about trusting her with creating our vision for our big day. For example, I really wanted to create a warm, rustic look over the dance floor with a ceiling of rattan pendant lights with greenery, which the venue had never done before. She really delivered on working with our venue and thinking thoroughly of all the details for execution! It turned out SO AMAZING, just perfect. We received SO many compliments on the decor from our guests! We couldn't be more grateful to Jenny and her team for carefully making every detail look perfect. Jenny was very thoughtful about details of the wedding that we would have never personally considered and asked clarifying questions to intently understand what we wanted.     So happy we booked Heather for WTW's month-of package. We were actually looking for a day-of…read morecoordinator but after speaking with Heather, we realized that month-of would be more beneficial especially with vendor logistic/timing (plus WTW prices were reasonable). Heather saw us 2x before the big day: final venue walk through and our rehearsal day. She was super organized during those 2 days and helped guide us with our venue and corral our entire wedding party during the rehearsal. Heather also provided us with a day-of timeline, even for the hours she was not physically at the venue. On the wedding day, she arrived with Annaleise (team member) around 3pm and immediately got to work with the decor set up before our 6pm ceremony. All we had to do was hand over our room key and off they went! To be honest, we were so busy that day that if we didn't have Heather helping us out, I'm not sure how we could've accomplished what we needed to do. No amount of uncles and aunties could've done what WTW did in the same amount of time hah. Plus we had a cocktail hour "flip" during our ceremony, so having WTW help us during that time was crucial. At the end of the night, all our items were returned to vendors or packed away in the boxes we brought them in and stored in our room. During the month of, WTW used Google's suite to keep everything organized and documented, which I found very helpful since its a program that I am familiar with (vs learning a new program). And Heather also provides some rentals if you want to add more to your decor, which was also VERY helpful when we needed more candles and stands. Heather is professional, calm, and assertive. She knows what needs to be done to help make your day run smoothly and is a team player with the vendors and venue. For reference, our wedding was in Riverside, a church ceremony, 8 people in the wedding party, 120 guests, ~10 vendors, plated meals, and a hotel venue reception. We had a couple funky additions in the night which made the reception feel nontraditional, but Heather handled them like it was normal. We haven't received official pictures yet, but when we do, I hope to update this review so any new potential clients can see her magic. Thanks again!!

We used them as the day-of coordinators and the florist, but wow, they were really working with me the entire process up until and through the big day. There are so things I can say but I want to focus on three areas: 1) Prepared and organized. In the planning stages from being familiar with our vendors and communicating with them (we got married at Ranchos Las Lomas and had 24Carrots catering), to sending back and forth planning documents and scheduling details, Casey and Ally were just so good to work with. I am very particular about things but I trusted them throughout the process and felt like nothing was going to fall through the cracks. 2) Amazing florist. I'm so glad we also chose them as our florists; everything turned out exactly as I had hoped from the ceremony arch to the table centerpieces to a custom head table structure we had made. They did not skimp on the flowers at all and they were so good about mock-ups in photo form during the planning process and then an in-person mock-up of the centerpiece to make sure everything was how we wanted it to be. And most importantly, they came in a really good price! 3) So much help in the decorations. One of the reasons why we ultimately chose RuffleEffect is they have a great catalog of items to choose from (check out their "rentals" section on their site) that they can supply to you for free in their packages including candles, frames, table numbers, and some signage. I wanted to create my own custom backdrops and signage, and they helped bring some of the wood panels, create many of the decal stickers, and offered to help with setting up at no extra cost, which is really unheard of. I think that point of them always wanting to do more and wanting to make your vision come to life is really what Casey excels at. She has such a joyous personality that makes it relaxing to work with, really cares about your day, and hires a great team. We get so many compliments about our wedding years later and it's really because of RuffleEffect.

Shraddha and Karan are the sweetest wife & husband team that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with. I booked Sprig and Ivy early into my wedding planning, and even though it was a long time away from our initial contact to the wedding day, Shraddha was so nice and sweet in checking up every so often to make sure I was doing ok. When it came down to the wire, WOW- They exceeded everything that you can ask for in having wedding coordinators for your wedding. They were on top of everything and anything! There were so many moments where I needed a breather, so they "snuck" me out to check out everything and get some air (because everyone was pulling me in different directions!). At one point, I really wanted to see my dessert bar, but couldn't get to it, so Karan took me through a "detour" for me to check it out on the other side before all the chaos ensued. Looking back at our wedding, we can't believe she voluntarily takes on this kind of pressure. My husband and I utilized Katie for her day of coordination and she and her team executed every detail that we wanted flawlessly. There were also other aspects of our wedding that we didn't have any opinions on and really trusted Katie's watchful eye to make it perfect for us. She delivered and more (e.g. we had a floating floral piece for our ceremony and we asked her to repurpose it for something for our reception--she set it up behind our sweetheart table and it was beautiful). As far as hiccups on the day of, there were far and few between. The major hiccup happened about 5 minutes before the ceremony when a urinal exploded on me- but hey, Katie had a cleaning kit to make sure I didn't smell for the rest of our big day and her team helped me keep my cool. Overall, we were expecting a little bit more drama but everything went by so smooth. Katie stepped in to make sure we ate our food despite being moved left and right and she kept us on schedule which to everyone's amazement, we were right on the dot with it. To summarize, what Katie did best was eliminate any worries we would have the day of so we could simply soak in all of the greatness of that day. Katie was super helpful being the first line of contact between us and the vendors. We didn't have to scramble at the last minute to confirm arrival times, to collect paperwork, etc. She continued to reassure us toward the final days of the wedding to sit back and relax. She was available throughout the process and kept us on track to meet certain milestones (e.g. finalizing guest count, confirming timeline, ensuring all inventory was ready to go, etc.). We cannot imagine having our wedding turn out the way it did without Katie. We highly recommend that you trust her to carry out your big day.

She created my whole time line, and made sure everything ran smoothly. I showed her my vision i was going for, and she ended up decorating every table for me and it was perfect. Katie and her whole team were a dream to work for. I would suggest using her for your wedding!
