Based off those previous experiences, I trusted that I would be leaving my apparel in good hands. However, I was gravely mistaken to find out that after dropping my blazer off on August 23 and needing it for September 5th, coming to pick up on September 3rd no work has been done to my blazer. This is extremely frustrating because no communication was provided to inform me that they could no longer work on my blazer. Only met with "sorry" and "oh you needed it for this Thursday" when I dropped it off with ample time. I understand sometimes things don't always go as planned but for the negligence of care and also confirmation that nobody would be able to do a quick turn around, I am left angry and not prepared for my event that takes place in 2 days. I do not feel valued nor properly accommodated because after explaining the severity, the owner only provided another seamstress who may or may not take my blazer but it's important to note that she also has horrible reviews for being rude. My visit started off with me trying to open the doors on the corner and finding them locked, though it was during business hours. Was some cruel individual messing with me? I checked my watch to make sure I wasn't too early. I peered through the door but didn't see any sympathetic employees. Finally a woman emerged and gestured towards the front of the store, where there were some more [unlocked] doors. Oh. Um, maybe a sign explaining this locked door situation would be helpful? The lady who took my threads and gave me back my freshened threads was nice and polite. The stated turnaround time was around three days. I actually picked up my duds over a week later, and they were cool with that. Getting a two-piece suit and blouse cleaned set me back nearly $32 which seemed a little pricy but I'm not sure what the average is for Birmingham for getting such attire treated.
