I discovered this dry cleaner when I lived in Vestavia and always had a positive experience. I have…read moresince moved to Crestwood South and still drive to Vestavia specifically for this dry cleaner! They do a great job, they are efficient (1 day turn around if you get your clothes in early enough), and very reasonably priced! I recently had 4 pairs of dress pants, 3 blazers/suit jackets, and a dress shirt dry cleaned and a pair of pants altered for the same price it would've cost me to just get my 4 pairs of pants dry cleaned at all the places by my house in crestwood. Dry Clean City is well worth the drive for me!

There were a few issues over time -- a stain here or there that appeared during cleaning -- but never enough to make us switch. That changed a few weeks ago. Our normal delivery arrived: roughly 15 dress shirts, a few pairs of slacks, several blazers. Every single item REEKED of cigarettes and cheap air freshener. Not realizing the extent of it, I hung most of the order in my closet. Mistake. The entire walk-in was contaminated. I cannot overstate how bad this smell was -- imagine a motel room on Breaking Bad. With the closet door closed, we could still smell it throughout the first floor of our home. We ended up relaundering every piece of clothing they had "cleaned," then laundering the rest of the closet's contents on top of that. I scrubbed every hard surface with diluted distilled vinegar. I bought an $800 air purifier and ran it in the closet for several days to finally pull the smell out. When my bride brought the problem to management, she was met with a shrug and an offer to relaunder the original clothing. No reimbursement. No offer to address the rest of the damage. Nothing. We didn't press it. We moved to Mark's for twice-weekly pickup and delivery and haven't looked back. Steer clear of this business. Zero stars. Would not recommend.

Based off those previous experiences, I trusted that I would be leaving my apparel in good hands. However, I was gravely mistaken to find out that after dropping my blazer off on August 23 and needing it for September 5th, coming to pick up on September 3rd no work has been done to my blazer. This is extremely frustrating because no communication was provided to inform me that they could no longer work on my blazer. Only met with "sorry" and "oh you needed it for this Thursday" when I dropped it off with ample time. I understand sometimes things don't always go as planned but for the negligence of care and also confirmation that nobody would be able to do a quick turn around, I am left angry and not prepared for my event that takes place in 2 days. I do not feel valued nor properly accommodated because after explaining the severity, the owner only provided another seamstress who may or may not take my blazer but it's important to note that she also has horrible reviews for being rude. Before this, I spoke highly of their work, but now I don't even want them to dry clean anything I own.
