I found out about Por Ella (For Her) two weeks ago through social media, when some of my friends…read moreshared their pictures of their opening day. What immediately grabbed my attention besides the super cool-looking building, was that it was an all female Latina team. The concept of being a one-stop shop for self-care is brilliant! The team is made up of five beautiful women who could be models, but instead focus on helping us become our best selves: -Liz- owner focused on tooth gems, whitening, body sculpting & hyaluronic acid pen. -Jocelyn - owner and licensed esthetician- facials and healing of the skin. -Laura -licensed esthetician - lash extensions and brows. -Gali--licensed esthetician - body waxing -Giselle -massage therapist, body sculpting & treatments You can easily book the service of your choice online and see the availability they have. I made an appointment for a facial because my skin takes a toll during winter. If you're a first time client, you can schedule a skin analysis consultation to determine what the best treatment for you is. You can also select a personalized facial which includes a basic cleanse according to your skin type. This is the one I selected. I had not had a facial in over a decade and I forgot how relaxing they are! It was 45 minutes of pure bliss. Do yourself a favor and visit Jocelyn. She uses a steamer to open up your pores and then gets to work. It was so relaxing and the products she uses smell like fruit and something I'd eat. She mentioned they're natural products which I love since my skin is sensitive and can react to harsh chemicals. At the end, it felt like my skin was breathing. Jocelyn gave me a bunch of skin tips and said next time I can schedule a FreshGlo Facial, an ultimate deep cleanse facial focusing on nourishing the skin and targeting main concerns. Even the next day, my skin felt so soft and different from before. I'm hoping I can try the Dermapro Dermaplaining, where she uses a surgical blade to remove the topmost layer of dead skin along with peach fuzz. I've seen videos of this and it looks great! The building they're in is super cool with the exposed brick and industrial feel. I can't wait to try other services. I already booked a deep tissue massage. Come here to relieve everyday stress!

I live way on the other side of town and I'm a full time working single mom at the moment, so it's hard for me to get to this place. Their google listing showed that they were open on Fridays, so I made the drive across town to sign the cancellation form that I was told I had to come in to sign, just to see that they are not open on Fridays. When I reached out via Facebook, they were able to cancel that way and sent me confirmation. I'm glad it was easy and they didn't play me, but I'm sad that it didn't work because their $60/month program is a great deal!

Not only did it seem cost friendly but also had some credible lash techs working there. I gave it a ago and made an appointment. I first saw holly and I immediately felt very comfortable with her. She was very nice. I then set an apt for my fill 2 weeks out. I came she was super nice then as well. When I went to pay I was hit with $150 or $160 for the fill and I was like woah then they convinced me to get the membership I was like whatever will make this cheeper. So far I've had no issues with the membership. I set my appointment for my next full and was told that holly would be leaving so I'd see a different tech. I was like okay that's okay. I come to my appointment 2 weeks later and meet Taylor, also a very sweet woman. Taylor took a look at my lashes and noticed extreme clumping of glue. She had advised me to get them removed and get a new set since my natural lashes were ripping out. But she tried to save them instead. I was happy she tried to save them since I didn't have enough to completely re do them. Now I'm regretting that. 3 weeks later for my next fill I arrived excited to see Taylor.. whom had also left. I meet savannah, she's also super nice and talked with the managers to see what we could do about my lashes. ( I have some bald spots ) we got them removed today and I got a whole new set for very good price. She wasn't able to give a complete full since my lashes are so scarce. I'm thankful for them trying to fix it. I'm just hoping my eye lashes will be okay.

I was like yea right let me call them and find out the details. The lady who answered the phone was very sweet and helpful. She explained the machine they have and made it sound like it wouldn't be as bad as I have been making it out to be. I hear it's super painful so that's another reason I kept pushing it off. After speaking with her over the phone I decided to go with it and make an appointment to get my first treatment started. Once I got to the shop it was super cute and clean. I love the decor and vibe! I was a bit early so sat in the front for a little before someone was able to greet me. I was helped by Nicole and she was very comforting. I was so nervous I almost backed out. Nicole was very patient and said we could go as slow as I needed. I did take a few breaks because it does hurt but it's not unbearable if you break it up. I am so glad I went and had a very great first-time experience. I made my second appointment to come back already because I'm excited to see the results. Will keep you posted!

My lashes are very thick, long and go straight down. I had researched my options, including the…read morepopular lash extensions, but being low-maintenance, it didn't seem like a good fit. I heard of lash lifts and it sounded like just what I needed. A lash lift is essentially a perm for your natural lashes, it lifts and curls your own lashes for about 4-6 weeks. This location used to be Wink Eyelash Salon. It is now called GloUp, but it's part of the Flutter empire. They manage 5 locations - all called differently, which can be a bit confusing when making an appointment online. You'll see different names, just make sure it's the location you want. Once I figured this out, it was easy and simple to book a spot. You get helpful email and text reminders. Since I didn't know any stylists yet, I chose based on my availability. I first booked with Sonja. She was very friendly and as soon as I told her it was my first time, she intentionally explained the process as she went, step by step. Their chairs are comfy, which is great since the process took quite a bit (about an hour). My eyes are sensitive so they immediately started watering. It's not a pleasant process but it's not terrible. My lashes lifted a little but not enough to where she was satisfied, so she didn't charge me and told me they'd reach out to schedule another appointment at no cost to me. I was confused about how long I should wait to since it didn't work but chemicals were still used. Two weeks later, I received an email and a call about it. They somewhat answered my questions so I was willing to give Sonja another try. I went in again and this time, it worked and I absolutely loved it. She used a different solution... The lift actually lasted a couple of months and I went in again with a different stylist, Jamie. This was a huge fail, after being there for at least 30 minutes, my lashes would not even cooperate to stay down long enough for the solution to be applied. She didn't know what to do so I got a recommendation to book with Valerie S. She was absolutely amazing. I will never book with anyone else. Valerie was extremely resourceful and somehow made it work with my stubborn lashes. I'm a fan of lifts now. Book with her!
