Many salons that special in lash services are in town & I did not want to drive into town, I wanted somewhere near. Her place was very easy to find! PERFECT for everyone who doesn't wanna drive allllll the way to town! Lynne was very sweet and made sure that you were always comfortable. As she was doing my lashes she made sure to explain to me everything that she was doing since this was my first time. I really appreciated that because I had no idea how this whole session works and she told me everything she was doing from putting on the eye gel pads down to using a spoolie to brush my lashes. She constantly made sure that I was doing okay and if anything was uncomfortable. Another thing I really loved about Lynne was she really takes her time on you, never did I feel like she was rushing. She really takes pride into her work and wants to make sure that you will love it the very first time you see it! If she sees a lash that looks out of place, she'll take the time to fix it!! Not many people take the time to really inspect their work but Lynne does! As for the actual lash extensions they feel AMAZING. First time getting lash extensions. So happy i went with lynn. She is so detail oriented and passionate. A true artist. Being my first time and not being one to wear a lot of makeup, i went with the classic fill. The result was beautiful NATURAL looking lashes. It looks like i was blessed with naturally full lashes and had the best eyelash curler and mascara in the world. The thing is, i could never actually get these results with my eyelash curler or mascara with my lashes. I've had my lashes done before (at different lash studios) and each time, when I open my eyes, without fail, the stinging and redness kick in and continue to last for an hour or so afterwards. I also noticed - I'm not sure how to explain it, or if anyone knows what I'm talking about - a "lash halo," where, whatever you're looking at, it's framed by fluttering lashes. I just see the ends of my lash extensions. Anyone feel me? No? Ok... Anyway, the stinging, redness & lash halo. I've always experienced this and was told by each lash tech that it was normal and I'm just not used to having long lashes, so I shouldn't worry. So I didn't. I took whatever they said at face value, paid for their services and off I went. I also figured I wasn't caring for my lashes properly, which was why my natural lashes & extensions would fall off a week and a half into my new look. Cut to: my first lash experience with Lynne at LM Studio Ink. First off: Lynne is an amazing human who emanates good, positive vibes and can engage in good conversation to help pass the time. And by this, I mean, it's not only friendly how's the weather/wha do you do chatter, but she really listens to what you have to say or ask no matter how trivial it may be and really engages in conversation. It's not awkward small talk. Also, in case you're worried about her skills, rest assured that you are in good hands because prior to starting her aesthetician business, she got her degree in and spent years as a medical assistant. She also keeps up with the changing trends and regulations on all things aesthetic by clocking in her maintenance classes. She knows what she's doing. Back to my first lash extension appointment with Lynn. After two hours, which is typical for a first time appointment, I open my eyes and even before she hands me a mirror, I'm blinking like crazy. Not because I felt any stinging sensation (there wasn't any stinging sensation at all, actually)...it's because I didn't see that all too familiar "lash halo." I honestly couldn't believe it. Where did it go? Did she really put on lash extensions? Why couldn't I see the ends of my lashes when I blinked? Why couldn't I feel the weight of it? Once I had the mirror in front of me, all the worry melted away. Lynne did me right! My lashes are bangin'. After explaining to Lynne the look of concern on my face, she suggested that perhaps the previous lash techs used the wrong lash on me (she showed me the differences between lashes). Man!!! Even though I've asked for a more natural look, the lash techs I went to before used a heavier, thicker 0.35 as opposed to the more natural, lighter 0.1 that Lynn used. This probably explains why those lashes never survived more than a week and a half and took out my natural lashes too - they were too heavy and they used poor quality glue! That said, I'm happy with the results thus far. I'll update my review if my lashes start to fall apart, but I doubt they will. I've got a good feeling about this. read more

Contemplated getting my eyebrows permanently done for years, I finally gave in and got them done. Best decision ever! Lynn was great and worked patiently with me until I was satisfied. If I could give Lynn more than 10 stars I WOULD! My aunty gifted me extensions from Lynn and I am so glad that she did. I have been to multiple eyelash salons on and off over the past few years and Lynn is absolutely the best. Every time I leave her studio my eyelashes look amazing and I never experience any redness or irritation like how I have before. Ive started to get hybrid fills as it creates a nice balance of fluffiness while still having a natural look and not looking too voluminous like a strip lash. Since then I have also gotten ombré powder tattoo brows and they turned out better than I could have ever expected. I had been considering doing it for years, and researched many places here and on the mainland but felt I was in good hands with Lynn. Lynn really listened to me when I told her the style and color that I wanted. Some places that do eyebrows do exactly the same style and shape on different people and I really didn't want mine to look too over done or overly filled in. Lynn and I were on the same page and my healed brows look soft and natural, like when I fill them in myself with powder. Lynne was fantastic! I got my brows waxed on 10/29/18. She has a cute shop inside Ohana Hale Marketplace where you feel like you've walked into a studio/hair salon on Waikiki. She was professional and wanted what was best for my brows, so she didn't push any products or other services onto me. I sat down and she went to work. She told me what she was doing while it was happening. She cleaned off any dirt or makeup and then prepped it for waxing. She then started to wax in sections and after the wax she cleaned it up by tweezing. After tweezing she cut my very long and obnoxious fly away hairs, she took her time and made sure it looked nice. After the cutting she put a little eyebrow powder onto my brows to fill them out so I don't look "naked" afterwards. Overall, it was a great experience and my brows look super nice! I would say it took around 15 mins from start to finish because she takes her time to make sure you're happy with the results. I would definitely recommend her for any facial waxing, permanent make up or micro blading. I'll be back again for a touch up! read more

This is a joint review for myself and my sister since we both are first time clients. I learned about this spot from a coworker who also gets her extensions done here. The owner is very informative and enthusiastic about her services and aftercare and for a newbie like me it helped ease my worries. I got the classic and my sister got the hybrid service. If you don't really don't do a full face of makeup daily, but find yourself always wearing mascara and eyeliner then I think you will really appreciate how the lashes really make your eyes "pop". Looks really natural and after 20 or 30 minutes, they no longer felt heavy to me. I would suggest downloading an audiobook or a podcast to help pass the time and to distract you since you can't open your eyes during the service. read more

Lynne is so very very sweet. I love the style of her studio, and the location is convenient. But even with that said, I'm not a fan of her lash tint/lift. I've had lash tints before from other techs, no problem. But the way Lynne does it it gets in my eyes and stings for the rest of the day. She gives you a saturated wet cotton pad to wipe your eyes, but it doesn't prevent the dye from getting in. I'd recommend she let clients use a sink so that they can stand and wash their eyes without the dye running in. As far as the lash lift/perm, I was not impressed. My lashes ended up way too curled, and several of my lashes looked crimped afterward, like she didn't make sure each lash was laid straight on the pad on my eyelid. read more

I cant express enough how thankful i am for Lynne! Where to start well about 5years ago i had permanent thin eyeliner done by a different establishment it was not good really . I had it lasered off as best that could be done tried yet another place that put the upper eyeliner with gaps between the lash line so i had to fill it in with eyeliner everyday or look like a freak. I tried consulting with 2 other permanent makeup business they turned me and my money away ,saying it could not be corrected. I was devastated no really . First time trying out eyebrow tinting at LM Studio Ink, and so happy! Lynne was absolutely wonderful! I have super sensitive skin, and had just come from a dermatologist appointment. She was extremely thoughtful, and took extra care to talk over the process with me, and ensure that the active agents in the tint would not harm my skin. In addition, Lynne performed the difficult task of tinting my eyebrows before being shaped (because my threading appointment was for the next day). She was able to tint, exactly in the shape I want them to be threaded into, essentially doing her job backwards- a true testament to her professionalism and skill. I had a great experience at LM Studio I am a first time customer of having any type of tatoo. She really put me at ease under stood exactly what i wanted. I have blue eyes already have long natural lashes, but really wanted natural looking eyeliner, but i wanted it really natural and not thick. She first applied drew on my eyeliner what i was explaining top and bottom, i was like yes! She put numbing cream on my eyelids after cleaning off her sketch.
