I went to the Roy post office today, 20 minutes each way, to pick up a small package. Of course I never received any notification in my mailbox to let me know it was there, luckily I checked my email for tracking info. It stated I requested to have the package sent there. Not in a million years would I request that. They were just too lazy to deliver it. The woman behind the counter was so rude, and condescending, I understand why this location has a bad reputation. The package wasn't there, and when I went back to my car, the new update said it was delivered to my garage, which is inaccessible. Turns out, the carrier threw it out her window, about 4 feet from the road. She was so lazy she couldn't get out of her car, walked those 4 feet and place it on the other side of the fence. read more

She would tell me that sometimes the only people she would see in a day were the Post Office employees who would always ask how she was feeling and were very kind to her. For the 2nd time in a month I've had a package delivery from Amazon marked by the Roy Post Office as "Undeliverable". I even made sure I put up a brand new mail box with a post next to it with brand new, green reflective background and giant house numbers to make sure they see it. The Roy post office has only one employee that I've dealt with that has any common sense, She is our regular carrier and is very decent and intelligent. The rest are rude and can't be bothered to do their jobs. Crap like this gets posted when we get a substitute delivery person "2:21 PM Delivery Attempted - No Access to Delivery Location" which is a damned lie. Whoever was driving that car while I was standing on my porch never even attempted to make delivery of my package and didn't leave a notification of failed delivery in my box either. Live in Roy in a gated community. For four years now our neighborhood residents have to swap misplaced mail on a regular basis. They do special deliveries on Sunday but don't actually deliver because they "can't access" even though they have a gate code. Today we were supposed to have a mattress delivered from Amazon. It and all my packages that should have been delivered today were undeliverable because they were too big. The postal delivery person even wrote on a paper TOO BIG! No kidding moron. Moved up here from Cali almost a year ago. The post officers have no problem breaking your stuff to fit it in the mailbox. My neighbors have told me they also have no issue throwing your packages over the fence and leaving you to find them wherever they landed. I called to complain and the lady told me she couldn't do anything about it and told me to go to their website to complain, which doesn't exist. It's obvious they don't care about us or their jobs, even the lady I talked to on the phone sounded dead inside. Terrible - Awful - Inexcusable - Rude I am very upset by the treatment I received from Robert!!! He actually HUNG UP on me. These worker and carriers are worthless!!! Shocking!!! After letting the phone right about 30 times and then calling back, Robert answered the phone, didn't help me and then HUNG UP ON ME!! Probably the worst post office I've had yet! I'm in the military so I've dealt with many post offices. On numerous events our mail lady that drives a left hand drive older 4 runner has thrown boxes that say fragile on it over the gate that opens and runs off in a sprint? Have this all on camera btw, but we are privileged when she actually drives a block down the road to bring the packages that clearly won't fit in the box. So instead as lazy as she is she just puts a missed you slip in our mailbox? Do these people get to go home when they deliver all the mail??? Only reason I can think of why she is in a hurry and just plain lazy? Spoke to the postmaster and she was just clueless and just seems to be filling a position and getting paid good for it? So trying to go above her head since it's a small town and they all are probably related or friends. Multiple times she has crushed boxes to make them fit in our mailbox? I give this post office a steep zero. Would give negative if possible. They continually for the last 13 years put the wrong mail in my box and I find 1 out of every 4 packages never arrive. They will say delivered; meaning delivered to the wrong location. When I go into the post office the manager is a dick. If he could pull the stick out it would do him some good. He acts like it's not his problem or will say where is your pink slip. Well buddy, never received a pink slip because you morons keep delivering my shit to the wrong box. Everytime I try talking civil with him and bring up an issue he gets defensive and states he will kick me out if I dont stop. We live in Roy and this is the facts about our mail delivery. We have contacted the new Postmaster regarding getting repeated mail from other neighbors in our box. That means our mail is going in other box's too. Mail found on the ground because the carrier misses the mailbox slot. The carrier is lazy to get out and put the mail in the right box. I have watched the carrier fly through our row of mailbox's delivering so fast..no wonder the mistakes occur. I've spoken to the new Postmaster about it and no change. Our mailbox lid is full of screwdriver marks where the box is forced open weekly and our row of mailbox's are found "ALL OPEN FROM THEFTS". I'll be going up the chain for not getting any Roy Postmaster corrective action. I'm getting a "game" camera to catch these mail thief's and document our mail carriers actions. So I went in to get a package of live insects that were delivered and the red/grey haired and mustachioed man there was SO SO RUDE! The mealworms were taken to the post office, never attempted to be delivered at my house, because we live in very rural Roy. The postal carrier won't even attemp to take them to the door if you have a rural mail box and the package doesn't fit, which is fine, they just leave a little card in your mailbox and you pick up your package at the post office. When you have live animals or insects most post office branches will call first thing in the morning to let you know, not Roy post office staff. So when I finally got the notification card delivered Saturday afternoon, the post office was closed, because they close at noon, and are not open Sunday. This wouldn't have been that big of a deal because the company I bought them from packaged them very well, but when I went in to get them, the man was so rude. He said " They've been here since Saturday so I don't know how good they're doing." "Well I didn't get notification until after the post office was closed Saturday." I told him. "Who got your mail?" He asked me. I told him "My son did." He responds, "Well he's not very responsible is he?" I never saw this man before in my life, why is he insulting my son? The worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. We had multiple packages to pick up (because usps wont deliver it to my house even though ups and fedex does) we picked up all but one package. When we asked about the 1 missing package we were met with rudeness and ignorance on the part of the male employee. He stated that he already gave us the package in question. I had to bring in the packages from the car after carrying them out there to prove to him he was wrong. One package was from my mother and he tried saying that was the missing one (I was looking for a package from Victorias Secret, not my mom). When I advised him the package was from my mom he said "I dont care who its from I need the lable!" I showed it to him and then he complained that I didnt have a slip. I advised him I wasnt given a slip for this package (I only received 1 slip out of the 5 packages) he didnt believe me treating me like it was my fault and I was lying or something. At the end he found my package but the amount of grief he gave and the attitude was not how I wanted to start my Saturday morning off with. He needs to be trained, transferred or terminated in my opinion. I had hoped to give a positive experience due to all the negative reviews here but I cant. read more

I guess the post office only hires people with mental disabilities now. I sent an overnight letter requiring a signature to Roy, WA for $22.95. It was not delivered within 24 hours. It was delivered two days after shipping. The postal worker in Roy didn't get a signature even though I explicitly requested it and it showed on the paperwork. The recipient of the letter watched the postal worker pull up to his mail box and throw it in. This is the statement written on the tracking page: "Your item was delivered in or at the mailbox at 2:05 pm on October 19, 2016 in ROY, WA 98580. " read more

They threw out my package. We got a slip in the mailbox saying to go pick it up, we went the next day and they said they couldn't find where they put it since it was addressed to resident (maybe under "R?" or would that be too easy?) and to come back later because they didn't want to look for it anymore. I just went back, after trying to call them multiple times with no answer, and was told that they threw it out because it was from a nonprofit organization. I told her I spent $25 on it and she said there was nothing they could do because they already threw it away. And that it was the organization's fault for addressing it to resident. I said we get mail addressed to "resident" all the time. She said the other employee got confused so she threw it away...but only after filling out and delivering the form for us to go pick it up...So I'm out $25 and an hour of driving because if they get confused at the post office they throw it away so they don't have to think about it. read more
