Can't say anything bad about this post office from the multiple times that I have visited it. This location is right down the road from where I live and, even during the busiest times, I have never had to wait more than ten minutes at most. The staff here are usually friendly and I can tell they are doing as much as possible with what they are given. They take their time with each person and even have allowed my husband and I to jump back in line after it was our turn and they needed us to fill out different forms to help keep the line moving. The location is very easy to find but I will say that parking can be a little tricky if you are here during peak busyness! It is a smallish lot but the speed they work, cars are usually coming and going very quickly thankfully! I love that I am able to buy specialty stamps here and get a good laugh at seeing some that they come up with. Pricing for shipping out items and their stamps is the same as it is everywhere else but I do wish it was slightly cheaper, but what are you going to do when there aren't many shipping options out there! The location also offers PO boxes and a package drop box if you don't want to wait in the line to drop it off and get it scanned. read more

This was one of the best post office experiences I have ever had. Besides the fact that there wasn't a long line when I got there, the people were so friendly and helpful. The staff was their greatest asset. We even got to chat a bit. So, personality and efficiency at the same time. Wow. And they knew what they were doing. And they had the materials I wanted. A nice USPS that's located closest to where I live. The location opens up early during the week, at 8:30am if you want to speak to a postal worker, however the lobby is open 24 hours because they have P. O. Boxes for people to rent short term or long term. The staff was very friendly and the female working the counter at the time I was there was enthusiastic and quick with the line infront of us. When it was my turn, I just needed something scanned and before I knew it, the package was scanned and I was given a receipt with my tracking code so I could look up the package and follow its journey. This location offers things such as packing tape, at three dollars for a nice size roll and even some funny valentines day cards because that holiday is coming up relatively soon. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. These people purely SUCK at their job, don't know how to answer phone calls, or even care about your package. I sent a package and on this occasion they cancelled it, stated nobody lives there, and then proceeded to lose the package at their own post office when my brother went to pick it up himself. How STUPID can you all be?!? My package is tracked to their location yet they cannot find it and instead blame it on someone who is "taking lunch"...it's 5PM and you should know where your pick up packages are located. You can see from the photo how poorly they are in anything they do-not once do they answer their phone. If you don't want to work and do your job then GET A NEW JOB PEOPLE!!! When you get mail, do you see your name on the envelope/package and the sender's name and address? Of course you do - we all do...who doesn't know this? I'll tell you who - the people who use the USPS post office in Plantation! I was on line today and heard one of the clerks tell person after person "To and From" because people didn't know how to address envelopes and packages! The people seemed to be middle-aged Americans. How do they not know how to address an envelope or package? The line was not the clerks' fault - there were 5 clerks but plenty of people needed to go off to the side and complete the envelopes/packages before returning to the front of the line. I was there to get some 'Forever" stamps for the few times a year that I need them. The post office had very few stamps from which to choose and they didn't have glycine envelopes to store the stamp sheets. The clerk told me that other post offices have more stamp options and storage envelopes but they don't get them. Why wouldn't a busy post office in a somewhat affluent area not have supplies?Amazon just used the USPS this year to ship their goods instead of FedEx. Many businesses and people use the flat rate boxes daily, even if snail mail use is down. There were plenty of boxes and packaging supplies for sale so they do have some support. There are tons of P.O. boxes there so people use their services. I think that this lends to people feeling that this post office is screwed up but I'm beginning to think that the employees are not the reason why. read more

Just came back knowing it's closed but wanted to use the self service machine and guess what.... STILL BROKEN! My new one (in Sunrise now even though I still live in Plantation) is absolutely terrible so I wanted to come here and praise these people! They are the best! Within the last year or two the entire staff at this post office has been turned over and the new people are awesome! Always smiling, super friendly... the lines have definitely died down more than they used to be. Oh my Lord this place. In my heart I wanted to give this place 1 star, but I couldn't ONLY because the USPS workers there seem to be pretty nice. I know what you're thinking, "a postal worker who is nice?" For real, they are. Honestly, the issue with this place is that its too busy and there isn't enough staff. They have a self service kiosk that doesn't work so the line is sometimes near the exit. One or two people behind the cash register and you can spend a good 30-45 minutes here. No lie. The post office needs to be ran like a TSA line, but people tilly-dally around and mess up the flow. I come here only when needed and when I do I make sure to get my zen on and wear comfy shoes because I'm going to be standing there awhile. My advice: if you're mailing something, buy the postage online and just go and drop it off. They said my package was undeliverable because no access to door which was a lie. The driver probably didn't want to get wet in the rain and got lazy. There were people home and clear access to my home. My package was supposed to be delivered Sunday, and the tracking even says "will be redelivered next business day" its Tuesday and I haven't gotten my package. And it's perishable food. This place is the definition of chaos. Do not come in here and stand in line thinking the cashiers can help you unless your in the right line. On top of that, don't expect to know which line does what or what hours which lines only do specific processing. Picking up a package? It MIGHT be the far left counter. It is always busy in here and the cashiers lack courtesy. I've come in here 3 or 4 times and hate every time that I do. Same result each time. I'm either standing at the end to pick up only to be told they are not doing that at the moment and have to get in the back of the line after waiting 15 minutes or waiting 15 minutes in line to find out they cannot leave the counter. read more

Dear US Gov't, How is it, during the busiest time of the year (Christmas) your automatic machine is broken? Not only is it broken, but it has been this way for OVER a week! Self service is a novel concept: weigh your own package, print your own stamps, pay with your own credit card, and mail it yourself. Doesn't require any postal worker interaction. How can it be out of "blank" stamps and unable to process my order for an entire week??? And what's more the week during Christmas when your lines are at their longest and your workers are putting in overtime? I have lived in many places. California, Wisconsin, Nevada, Virginia and Alaska. This post office on multiple occasions has blown my mind. They are so rude. My fiancé witnessed a clerk telling someone who didn't speak English very well that they had packaged their box with scotch tape and they had to go HOME to repackage it. The people did not understand and the clerk kept repeating herself until she said (after the 3rd time she told them to go home) "we have tape for sale here" they bought the tape!! How hard was that? One time I had a pick up and the clerk told me he "couldn't find it" and he would check with the person who tried to deliver and to come back. I said "I will wait" --- they found the package shortly afterwards. Today, in my PO box at my apartment complex there was mail from yesterday and the mail person today just stuffed it in there bending multiple pieces of mail--including a Christmas card. I get that it's the holidays, I understand that people have bad days... But this cannot be a coincidence that on every single time I walk into that post office it's the worst service I've ever had. One time I was sending a priority mail package. When I got up to the front she said "YOU'RE NOT READY" because it didn't have tape... I said "there was no tape over there..." And she handed me the priority mail tape and I taped my package. I asked her "would you like me to set the tape by the packaging?" She said "NO TAPE STAYS HERE" normally I would have kept my mouth shut at this point, but her attitude made me blurt out "if you keep the tape at the front, I don't understand how it's supposed to be ready.." Ugh. For some strange reason moving across Nova drive (Not even 595!) caused my zip code to be transferred from a Davie zip to a Plantation zip. My city still reads the same yet everything got all messed up mail wise. I'll have a tracking number for a package and it will for some reason sit still for days at a time (when on 2 day shipping-but that's another issue) and then come here and sit for another two. This location is 2 or 3 miles from my house-why it takes DAYS to get packages I'm tracking is beyond me. If I call this location's phone number it just RINGS AND RINGS AND RINGS. I've never had anyone pick up the phone. One particular instance about a month ago I was expecting a package and needed by a specific day. 2 day tracked shipping sent on Friday-the following Thursday it was sitting in Plantation. I was initially told when I walked into the post office it wasn't there by one of the employees. I immediately got furious, whipped out my phone and demand she find it for me since I needed it by the next day and it was insane I even had to come down there in the first place. After some serious huffing and puffing and staring at me (since I took an employee away from the line for a few minutes), she walked back with my item. Of course it's Murphy's Law that the items you need for a specific day are the ones that get lost. When I have to use USPS: i print shipping labels through paypal and drop them in the mailbox. However I have learned it's usually better to pay the extra couple bucks for Fedex to make sure it gets there on time (and not lost!) read more

Let's get real! Who likes going to the postal office? Nobody! I frequent this postal office because it's really close to my work location. I usually go during lunch time and it's pretty busy at that time but the staff manage to move the line quickly and I never have to wait more than 10-15 min. I'm going to have to deduct one star due to the fact that their lobby parcel drop boxes are nearly always full. So I have to walk into the counter area, walk all the way around the snaking line of people, and walk AGAINST people trying to get to the counter to get to the corner where they have space for people to drop off parcels that won't fit into the lobby boxes. DoucheBag Management! Lazy, incompetent morons! My package was scheduled for redelivery but all the was delivered was a paper receipt for the redelivery. When I went in and talked to the manager, he assured me my package was there and they would find it and call me or have it delivered. One week later I return to find out where my package containing extremely important materials is and they tell me it had been returned to sender prior my first visit... TWO weeks later I get a tracking notification that my package had just been issued out to be mailed back to sender from the post office that had assured me they'd find AND that it had already been sent back. They have taken it upon themselves to return my mail because they have confused me with my mother, our names are not the same. Now they sent back my vehicle registration and I have no tags... I rarely go to the post office but I wanted to send my grandparents a little something for Christmas so off to the closest one to my house. The parking lot was pretty full and it's one way in and one way put but I managed to snag a spot right away despite the craziness of the holidays. I walked in and there were 11 people in front of me. There were 3 employees- relatively friendly. Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer played and I smiled as I reminisced about singing this to my grandma. I looked around and noticed they had a wall of gift cards. I guess for those last minute gift senders. After about 13 minutes it was finally my turn. My transaction took less than 2 minutes and I was on my way. It's a pretty small post office in comparison to the one in Tamarac but it works. read more

It's nice to find a post office that opens late. I got here at about 6 and It was pretty empty which is always a good thing. I was a bit disappointed that the mail clerk decided to walk off instead of assisting me being that I was only dropping off a package(paid for postage online) and I was the only person in line. Other than that my experience went well. A different clerk came out to help me and she was very pleasant and helpful. TIP: get here between 6 pm- 7pm it's pretty empty around that time. read more

Horrible service. I have not had my mail delivered in 8 months due to hurricane Irma damaging our box and us replacing it in a way the post office decides it doesn't like. It's follows all of their rules and guidelines, they just rather make our lives hard. This is why people rather not even had the postal service. The workers are lazy and the management is worthless.
