In preparation for a trip to Mexico, after searching the internet for places to change money in…read moreNogales, I gave up and searched El Paso, since we had to drive south to I-10 anyway. The Melek web site, though mostly in Spanish, had the services of each location in English. Yea, a starting point. With the help of Google translate, I got the details. Another yea. There are 2 locations very close to each other in downtown El Paso, we went to the one clearly with the money change service and could not have asked for better service. Parking was easy. I speak some Spanish but it was unnecessary, as the lovely woman at the window spoke perfect English. And the exchange rate was extraordinarily low. Our bank in Santa Fe charges $25 for the service and offers a horrible exchange rate. This side trip added a very pleasant day to our trip and eliminated the stress of that part of the trip. We will use them again.

I was on my monthly pedal across Stanton Street POE (Port of Entry, except this time it was to exit…read morebecause this is a one-way POE South; the Northbound POE is two blocks West), to the magnificent country of Mexico, specifically to Casa de Adobe/Parque Madero/Boundary Marker One, and I knew I needed pesos. Since it was still a bit early, before the border area had fully woke up, I was extremely pleased that this fine business was open. Currency exchange (US dollars to USM pesos and vice versa) is amongst it's many services and cashier 8 quickly, professionally, & friendly converted my US dollars. I saw a few too-large Peso notes, and asked her for smaller denominations, which she efficiently did. (I knew that my regular Northbound stop on Norzagaray included El Sancho Barbacoa, smaller notes would be appreciated. This is not the first time I've been able to change money at this excellent facility. The fact that it is so close to the border and where I cross really adds to the convenience. This gets my "Wheel of Approval!"

Be aware! This post office has thieves or just the most incompetent people ever! My mother came in…read moreto get a money order and they said her debit card was declined and she had to go the bank. The bank says the post office took the money it's even posted on the account. It's obvious someone either pocketed the money order or there's some glitch in your system. Either way you can see that you took the money. Why be so dismissive and not even trying to figure out what happened? Even the bank is like something fishy going on in that post office!

This excellent branch station on the NE corner of Yarbrough & Pebble Hills (this station is also…read moreknown as "Pebble Hills") is exactly located on one of my Eastside loop cycles. This is extremely convenient As I sometimes need to send mail and it's so easy to use the drive up mailbox or park adjacent to the building to go inside for counter attention. The staff are extremely professional/courteous/diplomatic, especially when coping with irate customers. I am also very appreciative of the tremendous postal workers as they have enabled easy understanding/ compliance with President Biden's mandate of masking/social distancing on Federal property. Individual and the mass populations (~8billion!) are much safer because of blunting the cursed COVID19 pandemic. The lobby is open for business Monday - Friday, (08:30 - 16:30); the building/access to PO Boxes is open 24/7. this outstanding facility certainly has my enthusiastic/coveted "iWheel of Approval!"
