The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles does not accept credit cards, but they do accept money orders and cash. I made an appointment online, and I was shocked that I could make a same-day appointment. When I arrived, I was the only client; I signed in to their digital kiosk and was immediately called. Their staff was professional and courteous. I got my vehicle's title in less than five minutes! I was relieved and happy to experience a transparent and efficient government agency.

Both times have been to get the title to a car (separate cars) that I own. Why I always lose the titles when I have them is beyond me, but also my fault lol. Both times have been in and out. Process is very simple, very inexpensive, and the staff is always helpful, polite and professional. I give them my documents (letter of lean release from the bank) and $5, and they give me my title. That's that. Facility is clean.

There are over 450 light bulbs and has been lit every night since 1993. In 2007 it was finally renovated to be turned on remotely. Prior to 2007 someone had to go up and turn it on manually. The star can be seen from the East, 100 miles from the air and 30 miles from the ground. The best view is from the intersection of Texas and Alameda Avenues. If you are in El Paso after dark, you should go see it.

Not a shouting match, not a shoving match, actual punches were thrown, and the fact that the security guard merely asked them to break it up while these people's friends were trying to pull them apart made it worse. These people needed to be kicked out or the police should have been called, that's why I reflect this incident on my review. That aside, I hadn't visited this library since the new renovation, and like I said, the facility is great. They have a nice lobby area, which is not only perfect for cholos to fight, but they also have a coffee stand. The computer lab setup is great, lots of PCs available. The stacks area is brightly lit, which makes it a good place to study. And of course they have the most books since its the main branch. It's a real shame that security is an issue, particularly since this branch is the only one open every day of the week and is open the latest. It is a great library to visit during the daytime.

My daughter wanted to visit the closest library to our new home and away we went. The Belvedere location is cool, clean, and welcoming. The Dewey Decimal system is still in use, lol, so I was able to locate exactly what I was looking for, as well as what my daughter was looking for. I was impressed by how many people were using the facility as well. They had some newspapers, but surprisingly, not too many magazines. I know now-a-days most periodicals can be found on Apple News, but I'm old fashioned in that I like to look and read magazines, page by page. We most definitely will be back, and very soon.

I never used the computers or anything like that, I was always in and then back out. Falling in love with this library can be likened to falling in love with Chili's. It's okay and certain aspects of it are more than okay, but better exists. Most of the libraries in EP have something unique about them whether it's the design of the entire building or hidden reading spots throughout. I do find the RBL a bit dull in that aspect, but by the same token it kind of reminds me of the school library from The Breakfast Club. The isles of books are pretty straightforward. Kiddie section to the far left. Information desk as soon as you walk in. Tables in the open areas. It's just simply a library. Nothing more, nothing less. This library is one of the older ones so I really do hope that they take some interest in it and make some changes that could definitely liven the place up. It's also conveniently in the same building as the police station in the NE. I don't know why that would be convenient, but in case you need to report a crime and pick up a book or two, this is your one stop shop. This library is good for the person who just wants some peace while reading or working because I have noticed the RBL is ten times quieter than any of it's sister libraries. I know all the other ones don't care if you're having a full fledged convo or if you're talking business on the phone, but I never see that at this one. Also it's all an open room so that may be why since the sound would travel through the entire place if you were yapping away on your cellphone.

He worked for Levi Strauss and could not afford a palace for his wife so he purchased the squat modest "horrible" home and promised to create a place worthy of his love. Boy did he!! He taught himself all the skills necessary, worked tirelessly and created a masterpiece. In his works he wanted to honor his homeland of Mexico, his new home of El Paso and his love for the Lord. His designs, creations, colors and creativity are all displayed in a modest neighborhood of small houses on a corner lot that is visible from the highway. If you are ever in the El Paso area this is a must see before it's gone. The creator, master, artist and devoted husband passed away in August 2022 and the future is uncertain for Casa de Azucar.

Rufino Loya promised his wonderful wife he would build something beautiful! And Rufino delivered! It's named the Casa de Azucar or the House of Sugar. Sweet love! Started in 1973, Rufino completed it in 25 years of effort! Rufino also respected the Catholic churches of his native Mexico, as there are religious inscriptions on the house. Pineapples, symbols of hospitality in Mexico, adorn the house as well! Life is good with a unique expression of love!
