Over the past many years, I have found this SANDY CREEK branch of the USPS (George Dieter/East…read moreGlen) on the Eastside of ark PasoTX-USA extremely useful/helpful. The 24-hour automated station is great, especially when I can select the size(large or small) of the pre-printed stamp (s) to accurately fit upon my package or envelop. Perhaps most important is rarely waiting in line, particularly on a Sunday morning and knowing that the following morning will be full of customers trying to get in and out. On the occasions when I've needed to queue for in-person assistance/ interaction with an agent, the personnel have been exceedingly courteous & helpful. Outside, the drive up box has been wonderful for letter-sized postage. This is important because I frequently stop here while cycling to post items and it is certainly always nice to not have to dismount from my eBikeKit-CruzBike. I have found this station to be in a superb location when cycling my usual Eastside loop. I highly recommend this facility, and it certainly has my enthusiastic/coveted "iWheel of Approval!"

These professionals are extremely courteous/diplomatic, especially when coping with a difficult patron. Ever since current President Biden has stated that all Federal employees on Federal property must wear masks and follow the CDC recommended guidelines for reducing/eliminating the spread of COVID19, this station shows exemplary compliance. As it is quite close to my home, it is doubly easy for me to access by foot or, using the outside box, on my eBikeKit-assisted CruzBike. Though not open for regular business (except mailbox pickup) on Saturdays/Sundays, it is extremely convenient for me to use the outside Dropbox. I do wish there was a 24-hour automated teller. I highly recommend this facility and it has my coveted/enthusiastic "iWheel of Approval"

I very rarely ever have to wait long before being motioned to approach the counter. It was no different earlier today, during my brief lunch, when agent David indicated readiness to help me. I had already prepped a large envelope with a magazine inside, and wanted it sent the least expensive way possible. After weighing it, punching a few numbers into a computer, he replied that the easiest way was to insert the packet inside a USPS mailer. Not only was it more secure, but the mailer was emblazoned with USPS-appropriate colors/shipping info/identification. What's more, it cost less! You can't get much more satisfying than that--nearly immediate service, then having to pay less; hardly ever hear that anymore! Highly recommended!

There are never any lines, the people here are great, attentive, helpful, friendly, and all those other qualities you would wish for but never get when you go to other post offices. Then there's the building! It's like walking into a museum with mosaic tile flooring, a high 50' ceiling with a beautiful sky light, magnificent arches that make you want to open a p.o. box just so you have a reason to pass under them, roman columns as you enter the building, and these stone stairs that make you feel like you're entering the past. I can only imagine who and how many people have walked the same steps, only wishing to establish communications with loved ones far away. I never hate going to the post office now that I've discovered this hidden gem. Plus, the food truck court yard is right across the street. So pick up some stamps, walk across the street, grab some good food from the trucks, HAND write a letter to a loved one, then walk back and send it off. It's like a blast from the past...
