Went for fingerprinting, very smooth and efficient, even have a person working the line to sort people more efficiently!

US Post Office - The best post office in Edison!

    US Post Office

I'm so tired of dealing with negative and nasty attitude clerks..at this post office..one in…read moreparticular..( I think her name is Shaneekwa, or some other ghettofabulous name...short, fat with braids, nose ring or some other piercing and she is usually in the second or third station piercing..I try to avoid looking directly at her since she's always so hateful). She gave me attitude when I rang the bell for service after I heard her in the back room talking loudly and in 'hood lingo on her cellphone. There was no one else in the lobby and I stood there for about 2 or 3 minutes and rang the bell twice. Another time she gave me attitude and a nasty response when I asked her about where a return receipt of a certified letter should be placed on an envelope. She barked at me, "Do you work here?! I know where it goes!" That did it for me! The next time I went to that post office and saw her standing behind the counter, I turned right back around and walked out! I drove to the post office in Highland Park and will continue to do so from now on!!

Rutgers Post Office - The Busch Campus Post Office

    Rutgers Post Office

Rutgers is a great university. However the support staff at Rutgers that runs many essential…read moreservices is severely lacking. This is an excellent example of a service that is highly disappointing. The post office on Busch campus was recently renovated to put all the mail boxes outside with a silly computerized system. So you have to retrieve your packages outside from a weird computerized locker system, in the snow/rain/blistering heat depending on the season. Take your pick. Outside of that disservice, the post office closes at 3 and breaks for lunch at 11 until 12. By breaks for lunch, I mean totally shuts down. So they work from 8 until 11 and then 12 to 3. 6 hour work days must be nice. As I write this review I'm considering dropping it down to 1 star, but to me that is reserved for terrible offices at Rutgers like Parking. The postal branch is better than Parking, but not by much.

Had my first experience with the Post Office on Livingstone campus today and I will not go back. If…read moreyou want to mail a package (or anything larger than a regular envelope), you are directed to a touch screen machine. You can only send things with a Piscataway return address and there is no help available for you if the machine does not recognize the address you enter. I messed around with it for a while and finally left and decided to mail my package from somewhere else. This is pretty ridiculous- I'm faculty at Rutgers and my office is in the building next door to this post office- I should be able to mail things from this post office! Lots of people are on this campus who do not actually live in Piscataway- of course we are not all going to have a local return address. I don't understand why this post office is set up this way- usually you can just go to the counter at a post office and a person there will help you mail your package without much hassle. The way things are set up here, it will ONLY mail something if it has a Piscataway return address, the machine doesn't seem to recognize other campus addresses, and there is no other option for you if those things aren't working.
