He shops for groceries with my son, and frequently cooks and prepares meals for him. He regularly cleans, including doing dishes, cleaning the fridge, cleaning the bathroom, mopping the floor, etc. He sometimes helps with laundry, and making the bed. He also checks that my son has taken his medication. For every visit, he writes up a brief summary, and describes what was done that day. I can access his summary online, and get a good idea of what was accomplished on that visit. Thank you, Julio, you are a gem! I'm also impressed with Julio's boss Gina, who visited my son and myself at his apartment, twice, to interview my son, and get a good idea of what his needs and wishes were. She took the time to find out what he needs, and to figure out which of her care providers would be the best match for him. I found Gina to be patient, thorough, and trustworthy. She's also good about communicating via email if there is something that needs taking care of. My son has had a variety of other service providers in the past. One was excellent, several were so-so, and a couple were ineffective at best, unpleasant and dishonest at worst. So I have enough points of reference to say that the care my son is currently receiving from Goldleaf is excellent. It is such a relief for me to know that my son is receiving the help he needs!

Fast…read moreforward 3 years down the road, where I have always had questions on my business like "hey I wish all of that money was in my account because I sure look good on paper and on my P&L?" I was able to find areas like I know that I paid $80k in workers comp and the P&L only showed $20K. But that was the extent of where I could help when they were off and they always assured me everything was CORRECT. I paid both workers comp premiums on their assurances as well as my yearly taxes. I finally gave up and terminated services and found another bookkeeper and boy, have they found significant errors such as payroll wages being under reported, W3's not matching. Wages for out of state workers not being reported and members of Cal Savers stuck in limbo and not receiving their funds. I have tried to personally reach out to both the owner and my bookkeeper but both have not taken the matter seriously. I am up to about $10,000.00 so far in reconcile and need to amend returns and pay for those also. Please, please, steer clear from this company. They are deceitful, incompetent and lack common courtesy when you have an issue. Now to find out even worse that they will cost you so much in the long run. I am writing this to hopefully help others when believing and trusting in firms to keep your books straight. A lot can go very wrong. Choose wisely.

Since they bill by the hour, this was problematic from my point of view. The owner seemed to be a bit intense, and with the billing in particular. They seemed to expect that invoices be paid within 10 days of mailing. Starting on the 11th day, they would send dunning emails and letters, for relatively small invoices. It was a curious experience, and a bit frustrating. They seemed like nice people, but they did not meet my expectations.
