Purchased a motor from LKQ Michigan thru my local repair facility, within 10000 miles there was a…read moreproblem with the waterpump which luckily fell under warranty by a matter of days. Now at approx 22000 miles on motor ive sufferd a flexplate failure and also a bolt holding the right balance shaft has come loose causing a major issue. Car was in and out of shops trying to diagnose a problem that could have bbeen avoided in all likelyhood if they would have used a little loctite on the threads or torqued it to the proper specs.Im so frustrated that this has happened to such a low milage remanufactured engine that im ready to make this know to the general public via web bloging or word of mouth.It was bad enough that a Chrysler motor failed in the first place with 47000 miles on it then to get a second motor that has turned out to be anything less than satisfactory!! In a perfect world I wouldnt be communicating but now that their product or quality control standards are in question...im hoping that they can assist me in recouping financialy some or all of the $2800 ive spent on the latest issues with their motor! So he and my husband walked into the shop and were shown that the car already had a factory installed hitch! So, after recovering from the embarrassment we got our money refunded and left happy. They could have easily taken advantage of the situation and kept our money while we thought they put the hitch on but they did the right thing. It's so refreshing to know that there are still honest businesses out there. Since I won't have the opportunity to use their services in the future I do want to share in the hope that others will read my review and use these folks. They're a dying breed.
