I wanted to purchase a new iPhone 13 Pro Max one Sunday afternoon. I was paying cash and just…read morewanted to get the phone, regardless of the carrier. Having already stopped at Best Buy and having literally been sent out the door because I wasn't interested in signing a new contract, I wasn't sure where to go next. I had $1,500 in my pocket and I wanted the new iPhone... Boo Best Buy.... Boo you! Anyway, I was driving up the road and saw the Verizon store and thought, "Hey, they have good service coverage". I had Verizon service once upon a time and didn't have any complaints and anything had to be better than what Best Buy had just pulled. I walked into the store and was greeted by who I would later discover was the General Manager, Ava. She was very personable and got me into their service queue. I waited for about 10 mins (they were reasonably busy - so not a long wait at all) and was greeted by an associate named Michael. I explained what I wanted to do and what had happened at Best Buy and he laughed and told me about a perfect solution to my custom situation. Bottom line. I didn't sign a contract. I got the new iPhone 13 Pro Max I wanted (in the desired color and size). I paid for the phone outright with cash. The phone will unlock automatically in 60 days, but I have Verizon prepaid service until I decide which carrier to stick with for the long haul. I purchased a case and a screen protector after examining the display models. I left the store with my new iPhone activated, transferred, protected, and ready to rock inside of 2 hours (I stayed in the store until my data transfer was complete - you could shave 1.5 hours off this time if you did that at home). Michael was extremely knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and courteous throughout my entire experience. The store was quite busy the entire time I was there, but Ava, Michael, and the other staff members always took their time with me and made my time there feel valued and important. I don't know what these other reviews are based on. In my experience this Verizon store offers flagship products and exceptional customer service while still offering excellent deals and reasons to choose them over the competition. I found out after I left that I was actually going to save $300 off my phone bill over the next 12 months if I decide to keep the service. It's in the form of a $25 credit applied to my account every month. Quite the nice little surprise. Just another reason to give them a try! Ask for Michael or Ava, you won't be disappointed. ***By the way: I just read the rest of the reviews for this store and I have to be honest... I didn't see *ANY* signs of laziness, rudeness, or disgruntled customers. To be truthful, I think all of these negative reviews are an angry 10% making 90% of the noise online. For every one bad review on Yelp I'd be willing to bet there are 50 customers who are satisfied but silent. Think about it... don't believe every negative comment you read. Especially when the person posting the review can't spell or properly form sentences. I'm positive the majority of complaints I've read concerning this Verizon Store are a bit.... exaggerated. They helped me get my iPhone 13 Pro Max in an efficient and professional manner. Plus, they only sold me what I told them I wanted. No hardcore sales pitches, no lying, no insults. That's ridiculous. Ok, I'm done ranting. Im just trying to balance the scales a little bit. *** + Here is a summary of how Verizon Sales Associates are paid. + This is straight from CareerTrend.com. Just because they get paid incentive commission doesn't mean you need to go on a witch hunt. It's just to keep everyone motivated. ****************************** ###Base Salary### Verizon typically offers its sales representatives a base salary or hourly wage. The company guarantees this amount regardless of individual performance. The base salary or hourly wage may be the same for all representatives at a certain level. For example, entry-level retail sales representatives in a particular geographic region may earn an hourly wage of $10 regardless of education or experience level. Inside sales representatives may earn an hourly wage of $12 while sales associate positions that require at least a bachelor's degree may offer a base salary of $30,000 per year. ###Commission### Commissions are one of the primary reasons why a sales career has the potential to be lucrative. This is pay that varies with the amount of completed sales and links directly to an individual representative's performance. Verizon pays its sales representatives commissions on confirmed sales. Commissions are usually a percentage of the dollar amount of total sales for a particular period. For example, if a sales representative accumulates $10,000 worth of sales in a month and earns a 10 percent commission, his incentive pay is $1,000. ******************************

We arrived well before the doors opened, and there was a line. A long one. Count this as one of the dumbest things I've ever waited in line for. Due to the line and prior horror stories told to me by my gent, I was expecting a one-star experience. It ended up not being nearly as bad as I thought. When you come in, the manager/concierge Patrick takes your name and asks you what brings you in. He adds you to a list on a tablet and encourages you to browse or to take a seat, whichever you prefer. Gratefully the store was well-staffed, so the list moved along fairly quickly. People who were paying their bills or buying accessories were able to get into a separate line at the counter. Our name was finally called, and Robert brought us over to his desk. My boyfriend knew what he wanted, so there wasn't a lot of back and forth. He wanted a popular phone that was reasonably priced. Of course, the store didn't have any in stock. On a Saturday morning. At the end of the month when people can redeem rewards points before they expire. They did, of course, have two phones that were twice the price in stock. Capitalism! I asked if they were able to order the phone and how long that would take. After some clickety-clacking Robert saw they did have it in stock at the warehouse, and they could send it to my boyfriend's apartment. All he'd have to do is call in to activate it. My boyfriend was fine with that, so Robert called in to place the order. He shared with us that there was a 26-minute hold. At this point, we'd been there for about 45 minutes. Not terrible, but still pretty long for what should be an easy switchover process. After waiting (and waiting), my boyfriend asked if they had another brand in stock that was essentially the same phone as the one he wanted. They did. He said he'd take that instead. We then found out we still had to wait for Robert to get through so he could authorize the line transfer. Bummer, but at least the man would leave with a phone. After about forty-five minutes of being on hold, the authorization was made and the phone was set up fairly quickly. My boyfriend asked Robert to transfer the contacts/photos/etc. from his old phone to the new one, but of course none of the transfer machines were working. That'd just be silly! Luckily, Robert knew to just set up a Bluetooth transfer (which I'd have recommended if he hadn't), which took forever but allowed us to be on our way. We finally got out of there, and while it ate up our entire morning, we at least dealt with competent, friendly employees.

Dear Steve B. - Manager Thank you for your response,…read morehowever, if you would have read my review you would have seen I have already contacted Mike S. I left him a voice message and I'm waiting to hear back. 1. I went to this store because they had such high reviews. Unfortunately, my service was DEFINITELY NOT 5 stars. I spoke with Ben about getting a iPhone 15 Pro Max. He didn't have any in stock stock so he ordered one. I waited until the end of the week when he got back in the store and my phone would have already arrived. I called in the morning to make sure the phone came in. He said it had, so I drove the 30 minutes to get it. When I got to the store we started the process and he realized he had the regular 15 not the Pro Max. He called another store to see if they had one and suggested I could there. I wasn't happy with that idea as I had already driven to that store and waited 4 days to get it. He went to get it (which took another 30+ minutes). Once everything was set up, he said I got a FREE screen cover which he put on and a FREE phone case. I didn't need the phone case so he said I could pick out one of the charges instead. I proceeded to pick out the "free" charger and then saw the printed invoice that I asked for. The "free" charger and "free" screen case COST $199.99!! I told him that I didn't want any of them and he said there was still an activation fee. I just received my bill from Verizon and I was charged activation fees. I called Verizon and they said that his fee wasn't any type of activation fee. That this store was not a corporate store and they can charge whatever they want. Buyer beware of the Device Payment Promotion - You are NOT GETTING ANYTHING FREE. They use the term free and don't tell you are actually paying $200!! 2. HOURS LATER, I finally went home with my new iPhone and Apple watch. Once home, all of the sudden my old Samsung watch rings. Apparently, he didn't set up my new Apple watch right! I have to drive another 30 minutes both ways to have him set up my watch again. 3. I gave them my Samsung S21 phone in to get my $800 trade in credit. I look on my Verizon bill and it is not there. They said they never received the phone from the store. I called the store and they said that they wait until they have a load of them before they ship them and that I should wait another month or 2 before it shows up on my bill. 4. I've tried multiple times to call the store to discuss my dissatisfaction and I get no answer and voice mail has not been set up. 5. I found the name/phone number of the District Manager Mike S. at (608) 572-0985 from another review and left him a message. I hope he will be able to resolve my complaints above.

He will charge you for things no one in their life would imagine paying for, and then lie to you about the prices and functionality of everything else. If only I could go back in time to the moment right before my wife and I walked into this store, we would walk away. UPDATE: I finally received my first communication from Sean about these matters. Instead of an apology, an explanation, or an offer of resolution or even a beginning, he said to stop harassing HIM. Now THERE'S some customer service for you. ZERO accountability. Once you're out the door that's it.

The area we live does not give me an alternative option for the internet service. All these years, Spectrum only interested in hooking the new customers with the so called 'promotion' price, then jack up the price a year or so later. Every year or two, if I did not want to add more services from them, I had to cancel my internet service for a period of time, then sign up again in order to get the new customer's price / or a 'promotion' price even they always advertise widely that 'You' do not need a contract. Their Customer Service was always worthless and very rude. My most recent experience with them was that I signed up with a two year 'locked in' price in Feb. 2024. This Jan, they raised the price, and added $5 to my monthly bill. I thought it was $5, to save my headache, I did not argue and paid for it. then in Feb. they added another $15 more to the monthly bill again. I tried to talk their customer service agent to get an answer as to when my contract /promotion period expires, and when the price should be changed, why I have two increases in two consecutive months. She first told me that my promotion price expired on 1/15/2026, then she said it was in Feb, she never provided me with a straight answer as to why I have two increases in two months. All her interests were to get me paid for the extra $20 and a total of &$70/ month bill. Since I was not willing to make a payment right away, she only wanted to get off the phone with me.... Well, we only wanted to keep Spectrum internet for our smart devices controls. After my last night experience with them, we have decided that with a GREAT PLEASURE, we are cancelling their service, and say "Bye- Bye" to them forever!!! No one needs their BS, and if you can, never give them a penny. They are systematically structured to SPAM their customers.
