Brought in my 09' Yukon Denali for a rim repair and they took it to the back. One of the service reps said they were going to repair it then "Ronnie Wheels" met me and then mysteriously the rim was not repairable. They forgot to put the Wheel cover back on my wheel and then when I called to get it back they said they were going to search for it. I had to call them back and they didn't have the wheel cover. Ronnie the owner I'm going to assume is a nasty piece of work who refuses to take responsibility for losing the cover to my "Ruffino HARD" Wheels. Terrible customer service & I'm going to proceed accordingly to receive the compensation I'm owed. My friend Tom had an issue after spending over $700 for tire fixes that were not done correctly on one of the tires, which had a severe leak which he couldn't drive on it from Mount Arlington to Fairfield (along with the sink hole traffic) . The pressure on his tire went from 35-15lbs overnight twice. So he went for an emergency repair and inspection and seal which was a modest $50 repair. He kindly presented his situation and concerns with the owner to look to be reimbursed, who said "tough luck" on his $700 investment into the future of doing business again. I was planning on bringing my Porsche here for my tires, but won't deal with (beat artist) who dosent warranty his work! DO NOT USE THIS SHOP! Had a set of X5 wheels refinished by USA wheels. When I picked the wheels up and they still had tire lube on them. Loaded them in the x5 and cleaned them off once I got home. When the wheels were finally clean I noticed scratches on one wheel. I immediately presented the photos and they are unwilling to fix the issue without paying for a complete refinish. I paid a premium for this refinish over local competitors only to have a scratched wheel. I find it interesting that they went out of their way to cover the scratches with tire lube. They also they stated in the initial conversation that $660 would include everything and I would avoid sales tax by paying with cash. During check out they charged me for for tire disposal and 2 metal valve stems that was never brought to my attention while they had the wheels. Do yourself a favor and avoid USA Wheels at all costs. read more

Today's lesson - Repairing and reconditioning cracked wheels: If you drive one of the above-mentioned vehicles it is very likely that you are running aluminum rims with low-profile tires. These low-profile tires are very susceptible to cracking from sharp impacts from potholes and general wear and tear. Run-flat tires also have become very popular these days and only make the situation worse due to their extreme sidewall rigidity (the rigid sidewalls and run-flat tires transfer the shock from road impacts from the tire to the wheel causing bends, and cracks). Low-profile tires+ light weight aluminum rims+run-flats = Inevitable rim bending/cracking at some point during ownership. Late last year, I hit a pothole with my car and caused some minor damage to the lip of the chromed OEM wheel and a bubble in the sidewall of the tire. Earlier this year, I took the wheel and a replacement tire to USA Wheels to have them repair the wheel and swap the tire. When I dropped it off at the shop in Fairfield in mid-February, I was quoted $375 (including tax, which I specifically asked) for the repair and was told that I should have the wheel back in "three or four weeks" because chrome repairs take more time and effort. It took three months to complete the repair and was charged an additional amount to cover the 7% NJ state sales tax when I picked it up. The repair was done very well and you'd hardly notice where the wheel was damaged unless you knew it had been damaged. That said, I was disappointed that it took three times as long as originally promised (due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the folks at USA Wheels), cost me a couple of bucks more than they'd originally estimated, and required several follow-up phone calls to understand what was going on while the car sat on jackstands in my garage. read more

I've used these guys a few times for my 20 inch X5 wheels. Which they've done an ok job on (the paint color was uneven, and they even missed painting a few spots). But what really got me this time is that I called and specifically asked if they could repair the black BMW M4 rims, which they said they could. I know these are special rims, so I made sure to specify. So I took the 45 min drive to the place. Upon inspection, they said the rims couldn't be fixed at their shop because of the smoked clear coat. (That's ok, it happens). What bothered me more is that the guy seemed disinterested, dismissed me, and didn't even apologize for giving me misinformation over the phone. I stood around the place for 10 min and was barely addressed. He inconvenienced me and my friend who was going to pick me up there. They will not be receiving my business again. This will be my first and last experience there. I wish I could give 0 Stars. I brought a rim there and found the boss outside looking at rims in the back of a truck that a dealer had brought. When he was done I asked if he could look at mine that was leaning on the curb and he just ignored me and walked inside. I brought the rim in and he wouldn't even look at me when I spoke with him. He gave me a price to repair a minor but needed pothole bend which was $25-$50 cheaper than me purchasing a reconditioned rim. Because I needed it immediately I agreed to the price and asked if the price was inclusive of repairing any of the existing minor curb damage. Without looking up he just said "NO" and then asked if I wanted it done or not. I considered that he may be having a bad day as he was not the best example of customer service so I politely mentioned that I was in the auto wholesale space hoping to get a more positive attitude from him but his reply was that there would be an additional charge of $10 to put the wheel back on the car because he didn't take it off the car. I found that funny as he said there would be no charge if he had taken it off. He claimed I could have damaged the threads when removing the lug nuts which is ridiculous. He said it would take between 1 & 2 hours to repair and I gave him my contact info as he promised me that he would call me when done. After 2 hours I called his shop to find out that they had already closed. I represent over 40 dealers at auto auctions and was hoping to develop a local source for my dealers that need wheel repair. Additionally, I deal with some of the dealers that I understand use USA Wheels services and I will let them know of my dissatisfaction with how I was treated. I guess they are only interested in dealing with the larger customer and the single consumer is treated like a peon. I always treat everyone professionally and try to make everyone, especially new prospects feel as if they are the most important people in the room when speaking with them. This is not your ordinary review for wheels. We purchased an older home with steam heat and old fashioned radiators. We asked if USA could powder coat are radiators. USA stripped them and powder coated them. We have now completed all the radiators in our entire home. These babies are show pieces. Of course the one in the main bathroom, that the ladies stare at while doing their business gets the most attention. The service from the entire staff and owner was impeccable! I went to this place to get my rim fixed and they did and also I was told that rims welding are temporary repairs and I agreed to that but on the third day after installing the rim it broke again on the same spot, it cracked on top of the welding that they did. So I went back to them and all they said " we told you it was a temporary repair so we have to charge you $90.00 again to weld it " Seriously guys. It only lasted 3 days and then it was your welding that broke in half. If you know your welding is not strong enough to handle the stress then why do you even offer this service to the customers. read more

To say the least this place has ZERO empathy for its customers.... I had my BMW towed here to repair two cracks on my rim...well after being told to leave my car there and come back in an hour , I receive a call from their clueless front desk clerk telling me they had broke my wheel lock inside the lug nut and didn't have the tools to extract the broken piece of lock, if I can come to the shop and pick up my car...the nerve these guys have.... I make it back to the shop , there, the same clerk gives me the run around for 2 hours only to tell me there's nothing they can do for me...they dont have the tools to extract a simple lug nut from the wheel...But i thought they were a wheel welding shop? and no tools for this issue that they created!!!!! I call another tow truck and the tow truck guy was able to extract the lug nut using a simple socket, hammer and long wrench and some arm strength, he was able to take it out within 2 mins...THE TOW TRUCK GUY!.... I had to pay him $125 to get my car back to a tire shop that replaced my tire and fixed my rim.... Im disgusted with this place they took ZERO responsibility for breaking my lock (which was new) offered no help, made it seem as if it was my fault, they had absolutely no empathy towards my situation... After waiting 50 years, I finally got my dream car, a black 2002 Corvette Z06. All Z06's come with a set specially designed wheels. Unfortunately, being old fashioned I like a contrasty wheel, and the stock color is a medium grey. Matt, from USA made a presentation at my Corvette Club meeting and I stored that info for future use. I called him and asked if my wheels could be stripped/polished. During the conversation I asked if there were alternatives. We came up with a unique design, which I cofirmed with him during a pre-delivery visit. He took my stock wheels and gave the faces a shiny brushed finish, the powder coated the remainder of the wheels, including the inner barrels in black. He then clear coated everything. The work also included truing the wheels and fixing all the curb rash. (as a former Industrial Arts Metals teacher I'm amazed at this part of the job!) I could not be more pleased! The wheels look like $1000 customs and are just gorgeous. I strongly recommend that anyone go there for wheel or tire work, including custom finishes! read more

So I beeped my horn to just let him know I was there. The driver of the vehicle rolled down his window and started yelling at me don't you see I'm reversing here. Ok I'll start by saying this place is insanely unprofessional. Very sloppy shop plus no organization what so ever. That said the work they do is ok but there are better options available. I brought my wheels to them to get milled down a bit, mind you I have access to the same equipment as them so I really have no time to do myself. Came in on a wed, was promised wheels by Friday show up Friday they haven't even moved from where I left them! They proceed to tell me by Tue I'll have them... So Tue past and I say to myself I'll wait till the end of the week without me bothering them hoping they will be done by Friday. I walk in on Friday and I get a " I will do them tomorrow" . A simple phone call mid week saying "listen I'm extremely busy, could you give me some more time?" Would have diverted the fact I had to take my wheels back. My car has been on jack stands and was hoping he would come threw. Keep away from this place if you want something done in a timely matter!
