The vinaigrette is overly vinegary, while the ranch tastes too heavy on mayonnaise. The purple rice is also bland. Friendlier than a golden retriever at a barbecue. They greeted us like we were long-lost cousins showing up to the family reunion--"Hey y'all!" included. We ordered sandwiches the size of small boats, a loaded spud that could double as a flotation device, and of course, that glorious, magical sweet tea that may or may not be brewed by angels. Everything came out fast, hot, and somehow even better than we expected. The turkey club had the right crunch, the spud was a cheesy potato miracle, and even the pickle on the side looked proud to be there. Clean dining room, chill vibes, food coma incoming. Five stars and a heartfelt high-five to the folks at McAlister's in Dickson.
