From check-in, to the starter, to finishing our round in 4 hours... everything ran smoothly. That alone deserves recognition. The course itself probably sits in the 3.5-4.0 range. Some of the cart paths and a couple other areas could use paving or upgrades where rain caused washouts -- that would be a great improvement. That said, the greens rolled well and the fairways were in nice shape. It's not the $52 (including cart) that guarantees I'll be back -- it's the people. The staff was friendly and professional from start to finish, with good food and great service at the restaurant/bar afterward as well. Great pace. Great service. Great overall experience. We'll be back.

The best way to describe his teaching method is: 1. let's see what you got 2. now try it this way 3. okay, good. but, now add this movement. 4. nicely done, now add this movement. 5. holy crap, excellent, now do this. 6. WOHOOOO! I don't know if that makes sense. But, what I mean is that he will incrementally improve your swing by showing you the TECHNIQUE, not just showing you how to do it and how others do it. Everything is personalized and very detailed. Paul goes over everything: how you stand, the language, the grip, your back, your knees, your arms, your "cool swing" look, distance, and accuracy. After only 2 lessons, I was already hitting the range by myself and actually hitting them pretty decent! On top of it all, Paul is FUNNY and knowledgeable. He is great all the way around! He's able to get extremely technical about the golf swing or he can break it down in simple terms. The ability to flex his teaching style is very instrumental in his success as an instructor. He talks about how the swing should feel when he's making adjustments and that has been great for me. I highly recommend him to anyone of any skill level.
