Great place to practice your wedges and putting. Staff were super nice! 5 starts plus! They are short holes, but the design and upkeep of the greens and fairways are superb! The only complaint I have is the hitting mats are a bit firm, felt too hard if you hit it.

This is a review for their DISC GOLF. Let me start off by saying this is the most well manicured and taken care of course around the area. With that said it is still definitely meant for golfers. No problem with that just try and go early to avoid the mixing. This is a shorter course in terms of distance but the uphill nature can be challenging. It also costs 16 a person which, since this is a course that is meant for kid enrichment isn't an issue, it's just a bit more on the expensive side. Parking in the morning is super easy as they have a lot right off the side. Haven't been during the weekends but I assume it gets packed as this is a smaller course. All in all this place is in my weekly rotation when I want to switch it up.

PROBABLY MY FAVORITE COURSE IN SAN DIEGO!! I loved this course, the grounds are kept so nicely and I loved the layout of all 18 holes. The path from hole 1-18 made sense and I love how friendly everyone on the course is! I also love that the course is smaller, perfect for those learning or for those who want to play a round but not devote 4+ hours to it. I enjoy how they switch up where the holes are on the green pretty frequently so the course doesn't feel predictable and it's one of the best par 3/4 courses I've ever visited! The parking lot is tiny but there is ample street parking on the block!

Very cool par 3 course. Well maintained and easy to get around. Keep your ears open for runaway balls

Oh yeah, they're stroller friendly

This is a hidden gem. My son and I learned to play golf here 1 year ago. They have a great putting green , and small driving range. The 18 hole course is short but very fun. You'll need 2-3 clubs, since the holes range from 55-110 yards. Props to the pro shop team, coaches and greens crew. It's great for those that are getting into the game, kids, and anyone that wants to beat the course record of -14.

Very well maintained course and friendly staff. My only problem is that I wish I was warned while making a reservation on the phone that they would have told me a big event was going on. People were scrambling around the course playing different holes which slowed down the pace to the point we had to leave after only 10 holes. I might give it another chance when there isn't an event going on.

Beautiful, well manicured greens and fairways. Off University and 52nd is a nice 18 hole executive course for golf and disc golf. A great place for the beginner and a place to work on your short game. It is also super kid friendly. They support the First Tee youth program here. Saw a few young children practicing their golf game with their parents when I went. You never know. Might of saw the next Tiger Woods out there. Only $7 to play a round per person or $10 per person for unlimited play for a whole day. A fair price to play on a nice green course complete with bunkers and water hazards. They also have a golf driving range and a practice putting green. On this day, I played a round of disc golf. A sport that is gaining popularity throughout the world. Being a beginner. Colina Park was a good place for me to learn and practice throwing different discs. Not many obstructed views of the disc golf baskets from the tee. The course plays very straight forward with the baskets being near golfing greens. For disc golf, all greens and bunkers are not in play. You must move your disc out of these and without getting any closer to the basket. Pretty sure anything landing in the bunker is a one shot penalty but anything on the green is not. Overall, a solid course for beginners and novice players of either golf or disc golf. I could see intermediate and advanced players having it too easy here. I believe there just isn't enough variety or challenge for adult players at that level. Golf drivers are unnecessary here. Nothing below a seven iron is needed. Every hole is a par 3. Again the course is very beautiful to look at. It is very well maintained from the first hole to the last. Everything on the course is either new or looks new. The course staff is very friendly and courteous. Very kid friendly. Can see taking my grandson here one day when he is older to play either sport. Play golf and disc golf here.

Great course for kids and adults. The greens are generally perfect, along with great bunkers. It's a mini real course.

This park is nice! My friends and I used to go to the golf course to smoke weed and get drunk when we are teenagers

A bit bummed the kitchen was out of the Housemade Ice Cream Sandwich, however, as I was hoping to try the rotating seasonal flavor! While the aesthetics of the bowl were somewhat lacking (mostly brown really isn't the most appetizing of colors...), the flavors were there. Ordered at the inside bar, then took my food outdoors. Shoutout to the live music!

I've always tolerated the usual annoyances, but today's experience was disappointing. I attempted to play the 9-hole course with my girlfriend, who is new to golf. She was mostly coming to walk along with my friend and me, but wanted to hit a few tee and approach shots for practice. We were more than willing to pay for an extra round for her to be more comfortable on a course. The pro shop said this was fine, yet the starter/manager turned us away solely because she didn't have a full set of clubs, stating it is policy. This decision felt arbitrary and is inconsistent with my experiences here. I've repeatedly seen regulars on the 9-hole course play with few clubs, no bags, and dressed poorly without issue, yet she was singled out and denied. She was dressed appropriately, had the clubs she's comfortable with, and the interaction was unnecessarily hostile. While the course is kept in decent shape, the pace of play is always extremely slow, the range is in poor condition, and staff can be hit or miss. Experiences like this make it hard to recommend, especially given all the other issues. To the starter who turned us away: this kind of behavior doesn't grow the game or help the course. She was extremely excited to be included for a round and took the afternoon off of work to make it, which you ruined for some small power trip. This is a budget municipal facility, and if policies are going to be enforced, they should at least be enforced consistently. I've been around golf courses since before I could walk and have played courses around the country, and this was easily the least hospitable interaction I've had with course staff. Do better.

The green fees are $85, but my friend informed me he paid a $25 advance hold fee per person, so make that $110. I doubt one would be able to simply walk on to this course. We booked a few weeks in advance and only had two tee time options. We had an 11:30 start time, but didn't tee off until 11:50 due to a tournament, which was backed up. That said, I was both surprised and annoyed to see they allowed the foursome ahead of us to walk versus take carts. We were held up all day and didn't finish until just before 5 PM (sunset was at 4:45). My only other caution is there are at least two holes which run along heavily trafficked streets, where a lot of construction was also underway. If you're easily distracted by noise, this is probably not the course for you. We saw the cart girl on two occasions. Cold beverages and cold food, only. If you want hot food, you'll have to order before you start, after you finish, or between the 9th and 10th holes. I do not recall seeing any bathrooms on the back 9, so be sure to moderate your drinking or else roll the dice if you can't hold it.
