Overall good golf course. Mostly par 3 holes with 4 par 4 holes. Pretty windy most days. Holes are decently maintained. Huge putting area near the range. Good amount of bays in the range as well. Snack bar area is really pricey. Small bag of chips this past weekend ran our group $5 a bag and canned beer was $7, truly was $10 and cutwaters were $12. Yikes. Golf cart rentals you pay by the seat which I hadn't heard of being done before. I have a city card so it was $35 to play otherwise it's $48. read more

I love this place. Such a great location. The course is well maintained. They keep the front 9 immaculate. So many options to play. Golf. Footie. Disc. Amazing options for such a reasonable price. A city course. Great rate. Very nicely done and the staff are amazing. Top off with a new clubhouse and restaurant coming very shortly. They've got me coming back. Had a bad first experience. Was running late on time so we called and the worker told us he will push back our tee time to an hour later. When we came to check in, the worker immediately came off as rude and he canceled our tee time without any notification. He said the cancellation was due to our failure to arrive 30 mins prior to our tee time. Overall very disappointed of how things were handled, wasted time and energy. read more

While I have golfed the course before, this review is more specifically for the driving range. This is a nice driving range, a pretty good size with more mats than others. It is a nice location right next to the bay and I have never had a problem with parking. While they are remodeling, they have temp facilities near the entrance (bathrooms, clubhouse & snack bar). I am looking forward to the finished product, whenever that will be. Overall, nice practice facility including putting green. One thing that I particularly like is the snack bar - drinks are decently priced and the bloody Mary's are delicious (and only $10)! With the bay breeze and sunshine, this is a great place to practice your golf swing. read more

One of the best courses I've played. I would play this course every day. The staff is friendly!

This is the best place to practice and it is a fun 18 holes. The staff is always helpful and really nice. Ryan was particularly helpful while I was trying to figure out how to get the fob for range balls. He walked me through the whole process without making me feel like I had no clue what I was doing (which I didn't) I've taken several brand new golfers to get started there and they always feel welcomed. I totally understand if you are having a bad day, but after reading some similar reviews, it seems he is just a straight up asshole. The guy has one of the easiest jobs on the course and still manages to ruin the experience of others. Been coming here for years. Got a residents card here 2 months ago, have had no issues using it at every other course. Show up today for my round and got an earful from the guys at the shop saying it's not mine. Thought it was ironic because they filled the registration out for me and took my picture two months ago, then gave me a hard time when I tried to use it. But, you guys need to get rid of Ryan at the front desk as soon as possible. Poor guy hates his life so much and has the easiest job ever. If this golf course wants more business and returning customers, get rid of that sorry excuse for an employee. I really have not played golf after dark but this place allow or at least enables one to do so. I would say that it is best during twilight as you still have the sky to help you see the ball better. It is a not a bad course to practice your skills and I am no pro so this is just fine for me. No carts are necessary as you can go about playing at a strolling speed. I like this place as it is easy to get to and plenty of parking. The staff are super friendly and they will answer all your questions with a smile. read more

The course was ok for a little muni but the guy in the pro shop ( Ryan ) was a total douche bag and is probably lucky someone hasn't dragged him out of the pro shop and beat his a$@ . Someone needs to do a re evaluation of his position and put him out on the driving range collecting balls . Before I start my review I want to say this was my first time playing mission bay and I loved the par 3s and overall great experience with the new addition of the water. However Ryan the employee needs some serious help (maybe even a therapist). Never have I experienced worse customer service from someone at a pro shop. Honestly seemed like the dude hated his life and probably golf too. I was so fired up to have an epic day with the boys on the links and this dude just absolutely killed my vibe. If you're desperate to hit a few balls, this place is okay, but it's not at all for the serious golfer. Typical golf attire is not required here. There seems to be quite a few spots where the water doesn't drain properly and is sneaky muddy, so your ball may end up in an area that should be ground under repair. The rest of the course (tee boxes, fairways, etc) is generally below average. On most holes, the green then the tee box for the next hole are way too close together, so you'll usually be victim to a lot of close calls out there. The redeeming factor this course has is that it's (mostly) lighted, and you can play at night. read more

It's an executive par 58. Pretty much a par 3 course with a few short par 4 thrown in. A lot of construction going on mostly in the clubhouse area but extended into the path to holes one and ten. Course was in moderate condition and it's really not an electric cart type of course. I recommend a pull cart rather than a driving cart. Good place to practice your short game. Best part of the course was actually the practice area. Balls are reasonably priced. There is plenty of driving range mats and a small bit useful area for putting, chipping and a practice bunker. Good course for playing with family that are not serious golfers as it's so short you won't slow up play too much. May update this review once the construction is finished. read more

Place is a nice par 3 with lights. I only played year once at the end of 2017. was extremely overpriced, like $60 per person or something like that, but F it, I was moving out of San Diego and wanted to play. Most holes are like 50 yards. Very easy to Crank one onto the Roads, no doubt lol. read more

Driving range and practice area are 3.5/5. Decent greens/chipping area and the range sometimes has grass. Slightly overpriced balls but they're fairly new so I can't complain. Just tried to play 18 holes today and started off at 6:30am with 3 others and we finished the front 9 in 1 hour. Halfway through the back we noticed that the women's league was having a shotgun start on the back while we were still playing... I'm glad they're getting out and playing but they were slower than molasses in the winter and didn't have a care in the world. I walked off after 2 holes of this BS and tried to talk to the front desk. I was told it was my fault, when I asked for an explanation they said we were playing "too fast" and "ahead of pace". If you support slow golf, poor management, and a lack of customer service, this may be your new favorite course. read more

The practice area is fine and the par 3 course is expensive but fine. My main qualm is that I showed up at 8:35pm to buy range balls and the guy said they stop selling balls an hour before closing. I've never heard of a range that stops selling balls a full hour before closing. That is some real laziness. Why list closing at 9:30? Just say 8:30 or 8:45. Mission Bay GC has recently made some improvements to the clubhouse area. The bar is small and has simple choices. Some nice tables and chairs to sit around after the round. Need to update restroom facilities and offer and indoor club house with a restaurant. This has great potential. This the 3 Stars. Great spot to practice and take beginners! Large driving range with mats AND grass surfaces. Expanded greens for chipping, bunker work and putting. The 18 hope executive course has lights so you can enjoy the summer nights after work or on the weekend. It's a great place to learn the game with out the added pressure of golf etiquette at fancy private country club. The weekend has a long waiting at tee boxes as it's mostly weekend beginners out to learn the game. The course also has foot golf so there are nearby holes for a separate course. This course really serves the PB and surrounding area populations. read more

Somewhat of a golf nut even though I suck. This pitch and putt is super fun and super cheap. And they have lights so you can play anytime. Everyone that plays here is very laid back and there to have a great time. The range is great as well. My buddy gave me a stroke a hole and I wiped his wallet clean. Sucks for him. read more

The staff at this place needs some serious customer service training. Sexism never even occurred to me until I started reading some of the other reviews. I am so disappointed in the way these employees treated us. Two of my girlfriends and I showed up with plenty of time to check in and have a great first experience at foot golf, so I thought. We came in contact with 4 different male team members well into their 50s at the course all of which did not treat us with a lick of respect. One of them being Robert the manager, screaming to another "next time send them packing." Unbelievable!!! We all work in restaurants dealing with unhappy and difficult people on a daily basis and we would NEVER treat anyone the way we were treated here. We showed up with smiles on our faces expecting to have a fun day on the course and it was ruined by these disrespectful employees. When we were returning our equipment after only completing 9 of 18 holes due to our upsetting interaction before even stepping foot on the first hole, the manager Robert came out and I expressed how his employees treated us and all he had to say was "give us another chance." Never again will I give this overpriced establishment my business. read more
