Devin is awesome and I love his teaching style! I am working on my ball striking and am transitioning from a "scooper" to compressing the ball by creating lag (think Tiger stinger!!). I had a major breakthrough recently and it truly was an epiphany and I'm finally making divots AFTER hitting the ball (not before lol). He has also taught me how to listen and feel for a shot to know what I'm doing wrong (why do I keep slicing my driver or how do I stop shanking it?!) which allows me to fix things quickly when I get into trouble on the course. 5 STARS IS NOT ENOUGH FOR DEVIN! I took up golf 2 1/2 years ago and was very intimidated on the range and course, not to mention getting a lesson from a golf pro. Devin made me feel so comfortable from the moment I walked up to meet him for the very first time. Devin has a unique teaching style that keeps you wanting to come back for more. I recently was having a difficult time on the course and knew I had developed some bad habits. I was so down on myself and wanted to quit (but not really). It was time for me to reach back out to Devin to figure out what I was doing wrong. Devin is a great coach. During warm up on the first visit, he had already pin pointed some areas of opportunity within my swing, even before talking about anything or taking any videos. He started by asking me about my swing and what I had been struggling with. Then recorded a couple angles of my swing for us to review and breakdown on the big screen. He was not only able to show me what I was doing to cause the issues I had been dealing with but explain it in a way that made sense for me to fix it. We get back to swinging with some easy drills and tools to help get my swing back. We made a grip adjustment and worked on wrist angles and keeping a stable base. Devin was recommended to me by a buddy who was a pro golfer and another friend who took lessons with Devin. I have had about 10 lessons now with Devin, and its been an amazing experience. I am a newer golfer and didn't want someone to try to change everything about my swing right away. Devin did a great job of making small changes, allowing me to practice the change and then add more. Devin was an A+ golf instructor. I went to Devin with zero experience playing golf, and in three lessons made more progress then I could have imagined. I started the first lesson consistently hitting ground balls and pulling to the left. After three lessons, Devin talked me through a few key fundamentals and I found myself getting the ball in the air and hitting it straight. The main thing I liked about taking lessons with Devin is that although there was obviously a multitude of things that I needed to fix, he focused on a few core areas like my grip, shifting of body weight, and others as opposed to shooting a million instructions at me at once. It is very helpful to focus on a few important things when you are a beginner. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend getting lessons with Devin. It was well worth the price. read more

I was introduced to Devin about three years ago. Beginning at about a 20 plus handicap to now I'm about a 7. We started out working on the basics including swing mechanics, grip, and ball striking. I bought a package of lessons at the start of the year and tried to keep it quite with my friends, however it became too obvious when I started dominating them on the course and taking all their money. So now at least 3 of my friends have started with Devin. At first I didn't like it. But I have noticed now since they have been taking lessons with him my mental game and overall scores have dropped because of the increased competition. So not only did he help technically, he helped mentally which improved my chances of consistently going low every time. I was looking for golf lessons online and after doing a bit of research, I decided to go with Devin based on the reviews of others. I am a beginner and my husband helped to get me started during a few trips to the driving range. Devin's expertise shown through immediately during our lesson. We spent the first 10-15 minutes talking about my previous sporting endeavors, what limitations I have and how to best approach my game. During the lesson, he used visual cues to help me understand and focus on the theory he was teaching. This made everything much easier to understand because I could see what he was trying to teach. Also, the appointment was scheduled for only 1 hour, but he stayed around for about 15 minutes afterwards continuing to help me with my swing. It is very obvious that Devin cares about his students and has been a huge help so far. My husband and I will be booking more lessons with him in the future. I've been golfing for almost 20 years and I had taken lessons with other coaches, but nothing stuck for long. I started working with Devin a couple of years ago and he has helped me to lower my handicap, gain confidence, and have a lot more fun. Devin helps you to properly assess the shot and work within what your own body is capable of doing.
