When it was my turn I asked for help with my short game and he gave me the basics to work on. But... he said let's see your full swing so I hit a couple of 7-iron shots. He said I was leaving a lot of power on the table and showed me how to utilize my wrists better. After the lesson I hit 15-20 balls and it finally clicked. The next day I went out on the course and hit my 7-iron consistently 10% further than I did 25 years ago. All of my clubs hit 20-25% further the next day on the course. He showed me how to feel the swing in 2 minutes with one of his props and it changed my game for years to come. Initially I told him I was losing distance because of my age but he showed me that age can be compensated with technique. Thanks Brian.

When I started taking lessons I had a little bit of experience under my belt, but let's face it, much like a lot of golfers I wasn't very good. Bill's teaching method is very simple and easy to understand. He has a camera so he can do a video analysis of your swing. This is cool because he is able to pinpoint areas of your swing that need improvement. Bill is friendly and doesn't stare at the clock during your lesson. I like that Bill instructs at the Mission Bay golf course because it is a more laid back environment. This is very positive when you are nervous about learning and having people watch you. Bill is a great instructor and I recommend him to anyone looking to learn or improve their game.

With an infectious encouragement despite your skill level, Jacob is an outstanding coach + amazing ambassador to the sport of golf! On a personal note, this total noob went from not being able to even make contact with the ball, to being able to hit both irons + driver within 6 lessons. For how insanely difficult this sport is to maintain progress and hit consistently -- especially for this athletically challenged human -- those results speak for themselves. A rare gem indeed.
