Three things about Dalton…read more 1. He knows his stuff. I'm pretty new golfer with natural skills. This dude made two quick tweaks and has me looking like I've played for years. Even broke 86 on a pga course. He understands different body types and how the body works and how to work with different clients (he also trains a friend of mine) 2. He's easy to work with. His people skills are on point and a lesson flies by while Being both productive and fun. 3. He's a good dude. I texted him sick, and he'd not one of those trainers trying to make a buck.

When it was my turn I asked for help with my short game and he gave me the basics to work on. But... he said let's see your full swing so I hit a couple of 7-iron shots. He said I was leaving a lot of power on the table and showed me how to utilize my wrists better. After the lesson I hit 15-20 balls and it finally clicked. The next day I went out on the course and hit my 7-iron consistently 10% further than I did 25 years ago. All of my clubs hit 20-25% further the next day on the course. He showed me how to feel the swing in 2 minutes with one of his props and it changed my game for years to come. Initially I told him I was losing distance because of my age but he showed me that age can be compensated with technique. Thanks Brian.

The slowpitch cages seem to draw everyone from first timers having fun to local league players getting in practice swings. The pitching machines are accurate most of the time, but you'll occasionally have to adjust to a wild pitch. It can also get frustrating when a cage is down or the balls get stuck, since there usually isn't an employee stationed at the cages. When it's busy, people generally take turns. I do like the shaded picnic benches, grassy area, and nearby pro shop. You can get a reloadable card there, then swipe it at the cage and press the button to start. This weekend, my boyfriend and I also got a bucket of 250 golf balls. I hadn't swung a club in years, and I had back surgery a few months ago, so I was extremely rusty. To the gentleman I accidentally drilled with a golf ball. I am sooooo sorry!! I'll be sticking to the lanes with dividers from now on! It pains me so much to leave this review…read more Extremely disappointed by how a battery assault incident was handled by the Torrey Pines supervisor Jack. Torrey Pines has been my favorite golf course in San Diego. As a San Diego resident, I could not be more disappointed by what happened today and, especially, by how the situation was handled by the Torrey Pines supervisor, Jack. During my round, another player became involved in a heated disagreement with us. The situation escalated, and he physically assaulted me with his putter, forcefully striking me in the chest. I did not retaliate. I left the situation and called 911 to report that I had been assaulted. Police responded, along with emergency personnel, and documented the incident. The responding officer provided me with a police report number and told me that I was being treated as the victim of a misdemeanor assault and battery. Afterward, I went to the pro shop because I wanted to understand what action the course would take regarding the other player. I was not asking for anything unreasonable. I simply wanted to know whether the player would be removed from the course after a physical assault had been reported. Unfortunately, my experience with the supervisor, Jack, was extremely disappointing. I initially spoke with him at the pro shop, and he told me that the course had not yet made a decision and that he would get back to me. I later called the pro shop twice to follow up (1 got through) because I had not heard anything. I was simply trying to understand what action, if any, the course was taking regarding the other player. Instead of addressing that question, Jack told me that I was being "pushy" and accused me of "harassing" him. He also brought up the number of police officers and emergency personnel who had responded, as though that was something I had requested or controlled. I had simply called 911 to report that I had been assaulted by a single individual ; I had no control over how the police or emergency services chose to respond. The conversation ultimately ended with Jack telling me that he did not want to "deal with this anymore" and hanging up the phone on me. I understand that there may be conflicting accounts of an incident and that management may need to follow a process before making a decision. I also understand that the course may not be able to disclose every detail of its decision-making process. What I found deeply disappointing was the lack of support and the way I felt my concerns were dismissed after I had reported being physically assaulted. I've attached a screenshot showing my two calls to the pro shop, made simply to follow up on what decision the course had made regarding the other player. For doing so, I was accused of "harassing" the supervisor. Torrey Pines is a City of San Diego municipal golf course, and I expected a much more professional and supportive response from the management of a public facility. This is especially disappointing because Torrey Pines was previously my favorite course in San Diego. After this experience, I no longer feel comfortable returning.

Because of this mistake, I was told it would take another 3-5 business days to get my money back. As an apology, they offered to comp my breakfast and gave me four free drink tickets. However, when I checked my bank account, I noticed I was charged an additional $200 plus other unexpected charges. I also specifically requested a room with a great ocean view. The front desk assured me I would have an amazing view, but instead, I ended up looking at someone else's window and bushes. This was very disappointing and not what was promised. I called and spoke with someone who said they would look into it and call me back, but it has now been a month and I still have not heard anything. The lack of communication, inaccurate room expectations, and poor customer service have been extremely disappointing. This experience alone is enough that I would not return.
