I started coming to this location because the one by IKEA always has super long lines and rude employees. I've gone to this one a bunch of times and the employees were friendly. Now they got an employee who says she's new, Victoria, she is super rude and raises her voices at several people while I've been there. She is the only one at the front desk. Now I need to find a different location again. Please get her some customer service training, she's terrible. She argued with me about a package and was going to charge me way more than I knew it should be. I went to Milford instead and they took care of me and were very nice and helpful there. this place now closes a hour earlier now with no notice they locked the doors last week on me & a lady that were there at 3pm. i was there because a post office delivery person deliverd about 20 pieces of wrong mail to my address with 2 different addresses of people and two different names on envelopes. IT WAS EVEN THE SAME STREET NAME AS MINE! i mean the mail person that did this was not paying attention & could care less! imagine if that was your mail missing. SO I COULDN'T RETURN THE INCORRECTLY DELIVERED MAIL OR SPEAK WITH THE BRAIN DEAD POSTMASTER. SO I PUT THE MAIL INTO THE INSIDE MAIL SLOT. Since is Christmas I bought most of my gifts online and had them delivered to my job in Milford except for one, this one gift I sent directly to my house in west haven. According to the tracking number it was going to be delivered yesterday, today I went to check and the delivery date changed for next week. I decided to call the post office to see if they could help me and a guy named GARY picked up, so unpleasant... Mean.. Not helpful at all.. Asked me if I had time tomorrow to go there and look for my package myself ... I was really hoping someone there could help me .. But instead I got a guy who obviously hates his job and tried to ruin my day. BOO TO GARY! Please start hiring people that want to help and with costumer service skills!! Thank you! read more

I have had allot of problems with the west haven CT post office mail coming late as well as damage to my car underneath the car was damaged because of a major ditch in there parking lot when I brought this to there attention they would not cover the damage at all. I have about $800.00 in damage to the under carriage of my 2010 Honda Accord. When I was suppose to be sent a tort claim to get this money for car repairs I could not get it because they said they do not own the property. I was almost in a heart attack because they could not find my certified mail that was sent out to the company to refinance my car. The package was sent out certified and I said to the lady at the post office please place the green sticker on the out side of the express envelope. She did not place it there she said it would be ok. Well they could not find my package at all they could not even track it with a tracking number. The package was lost for two days and the company that received the package said that I owed a late fee. I went to there post office and drove into a ditch about 2 feet deep. This cause me a major disaster and they should be brought to justice. They now will not pay for my damages and they say that the property is not there property. I feel the pain of the first reviewer- nothing is the same anymore when it comes to customer service. My advice when dealing with West Haven Post office is to hoof it over or call the Baybrook branch (in baybrook plaza on corner of ocean ave and jones hill rd near the border of woodmont milford). Donna, Mike, and their crew are the best and will help you with anything even if not a post office issue. They always have a kind word for you and a bright hello. They'll be straight with you if it isn't their issue but in a very pleasant manner always. Donna and Mike and their crew should be cloned or at least teaching customer service to everyone who ever works for a post office. read more
