I live in a well known condo area, we have our parking lot, grounds everything attended daily. There isn't any snow, no paving being done nothing. All doors are accessible. Can't tell me you couldn't get to one of the 3 doors of entry. This is the second time. Last time it was another package, that they stated it was delivered. Never got it! Nor could I get a refund. I was told because it stated delivered to mail box. There was nothing they could do. I lost out on my product and money spent. This delivery has 2 items together if I don't receive this one it will be over $70 lost especially if they label it delivered. I miss our old postal man. He was great! I just returned from my appointment to get a new passport where I received the most prompt, efficient, and courteous service of my life. I arrived 10 minutes early as instructed with my forms completed and copies of the required documents. My appointment started exactly at the time it was scheduled to begin. From beginning to end, including getting my photo taken, was less than 10 minutes. I was even given the opportunity to review my photo to see if I liked the way it tuned out. I come here often because it's within walking distance of work it's about a half mile from my job so it's easy to walk over. I don't recommend driving there if you work or live in the area because of all the one-way streets but that could be because I'm so new to the area that it gets confusing and I have to go around a couple times. I normally walk to the post office on my break or at lunchtime to either mail packages or a pick up stamps. The customer service is excellent at the post office. lines can get long, but that's Probably because I usually go around lunchtime so I'll have to check it out another time beyond lunch hour. The building is older but I love old buildings especially the architectural design of old buildings. In the lobby they have greeting cards as well as boxes, packages, bags that you can buy as well as gift wrapping paper or tissue paper so they have a lot of services and merchandise. read more

I live in a multi family house with many different units. All of our mailboxes are clearly labelled with occupants names and floor #s. Our mail carrier does not stop to read who lives on what floor and shoves EVERYONE'S MAIL into our mailbox. At first I gave them the benefit of the doubt and put the envelopes in the correct boxes...I now regret this, as it has been weeks of moving other people's mail. Accidents happen, whatever, I wouldn't complain if they hadn't deposited FIVE FLYERS for pizza in JUST my mailbox-- clearly intended for the other residents of this building. This post office is HORRIBLE!! I have never been told that if I pick up my mail that is being held. That I can't pick up my mail and it would be returned to sender...This is NOT how a hold mail is supposed to be handled. Talk about foot traffic and standing on line for 10-15 minutes. I went around 4:30, and while there was about 5 windows, all but 2 were closed. An older women helped me, but due to her accent made it hard to understand her and what I was paying for. Good luck finding parking. read more

I had an issue with this post office, specifically: I sent an Express Mail envelope to Troy, NY, with "guaranteed delivery" the next day, and "signature waived - NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED" for delivery. The last part is the important part, because I knew the recipient could not be home to receive delivery. Well, the clerk at the PO where I mailed the package from assured me that wasn't a problem, they would leave it in the mailbox. GUESS WHAT? Nope, I paid for next day overnight with no signature, and the goddamn delivery person decided to require a signature and held the package for days - because, you know, you should be willing to take off from work and school to hang around to receive a package that explicitly DOES NOT REQUIRE A SIGNATURE. At my local PO, they said that I had to speak with the Troy PO to find out why they didnt deliver as required, and gave me a phone number. GUESS WHAT? You could call that number all day, they don't answer it - it rings about 15 times then disconnects. Paying the USPS in Troy $25 bucks to overnight a package is like flushing money down the toilet. Must be nice to work somewhere and not be at all accountable to your customers. To the Troy PO, all I can say is, screw you. Never again. read more

The postal carrier stop delivering our mail because they insisted we moved. We NEVER moved!! They argued with us over the fact that we moved!! Then insinuated we must have filed a change of address. I love this post office, so far, I've only had fast and courteous service, even when I came right at closing time. All the clerks that have helped me have been very nice. I've never been on line more than 5 or 10 minutes. Compared to post offices in NYC where i've easily waited 30 minutes, that is very good. read more
