More than 6-hours per day (Monday - Friday) for the "window" to be staffed. That's only 30-hours per week. Most of the employees are friendly and polite, providing quality service, if you can get them in the 6-hours that they are available per weekday. Service has been fine for me at this post office. Thought I'd post a recent review compared to all the negative reviews posted here. Staff is always friendly and takes care of my mail. Note that the hours listed are only for the office part. You can access your PO Box until 10pm. Pro tip: add your PO Box number on the second line of your address to make sure the post office accepts any packages that Amazon or UPS might hand off to them instead of delivering to your front door. From experience, FEDEX won't deliver to a PO Box address. They'll call you if you're lucky to confirm an alternate address. read more

This place just keeps getting worse. I've had a PO Box here for 30 years, and I've always used that address for all of my correspondence. So, I'm pretty much stuck with this place. I feel like they're doing everything they can to be as inconvenient as possible. The price for a small PO Box has gone up ridiculously high, and the level of service here has gotten worse and worse. Hours are difficult to work with. I feel like I need to be lucky to catch them at the open window. They're only open for six hours a day, with an hour long break in the mid-afternoon. Like most people, I work days. Therefore, I cannot visit the counter during their limited business hours. On the occasion I receive a package, they always hold it behind the window, rather than put it in a locker for convenient pickup. This requires me to take time off work to drive across town to catch them at the few hours per day that they're open. This is just stupid; they either need more lockers or less lazy workers here. And, sometimes I need to go by and just get my mail late at night. But now, they even lock the damn doors to the lobby! Jerks. It is now over $150 per year for a small box! What the hell? read more

I live in Stateline but have a PO Box in Zephyr Cove because the Stateline Post Office would not give me a PO Box at Stateline. This Post Office is suppose to transfer mail to Zephyr Cove if you address the package with a Stateline Address (for Fed X, UPS, etc.) and also place your Zephyr Cove PO Box on the shipping label. The PO employees constantly ship the package back to the shipper. Pain in the ass and costly because you have to pay shipping twice. Poorly run Post Office and Post Master is same guy for Stateline and Zephyr Cove. Need to fire him. read more

The 2 women who work here should quit because they clearly hate their jobs and people. I have had a P.O Box here for years and also use other services but enough is enough, there are 2 women who work at this location, I think one's name is Morgan she is blonde and there is also a brunette young lady. Speaking from years of coming here, Morgan is mostly okay but she will still stand there and watch you struggle to get a box assembled, she is no help at all and doesn't care, if you ask for help it feels like you are bothering her. The Brunette or dark haired woman is the angriest and rudest person I have ever encountered, I even get nervous when I realize she is there when I go there. Multiple times she has been rude and angry for no reason it's obvious she hates her job because she doesn't even pretend to be nice, even to locals she sees all the time. The guys who work there are fine but unfortunately I never find them working when I go there. I have given these women all my patience and I never confront them about their behavior but I am tired of going there and wondering what kind of attitude I will get from these women and god forbid you show up before they close for lunch, they hate you for just being there even when you are just picking up a package which is simple. Girls need to either quit or at least pretend to be nice but I am tired of keeping quiet and I am not the only one. read more

I had a PO Box here for 10 years because mail was not delivered directly to my home off of Kingsbury. I qualified for the free small box but knew I'd be getting a lot of mail so I paid for the next size up. After ten years I missed my annual payment by about two weeks and it got re-keyed. I have mixed feelings about this P.O. I really like when the small Asian woman is working... she is the most attentive and nicest. When you tell her you are shipping out a package she immediately handles it and takes care of you. (This woman is the only reason I am giving this place +2 stars and not +1) The other staff there are the type of people who will just tell you to set your box on the counter and they will get to it. That's unacceptable to me that you wouldn't handle a persons package and put it behind the counter immediately so there is 0% chance of it being stolen. I have had problems with my package being stolen or lost from the drop off point before and I suspect it's due to the whole "leave it on the counter and we will get to it when we get to it" attitude. I realize there is a small drop box that allows for small flat rates + envelopes to fit through so you don't have to deal with the people at the counter, but they need one for large / medium flat rate boxes to fit through. It drives me up the wall when I have something expensive being shipped out and they don't put it somewhere where there is 0% chance of it being stolen from a customer. Give me that peace of mind when I drop my package off for Christ sake. Don't have me leaving wondering how long my package is going to be sitting up on the counter for before you finally put it somewhere safe. Also the employees here always tell me that they are open at 10am .. and every time I come at 10am or even 10:20am the doors are always closed... it's not even a once in a while occurence .... this is the case more than 1/2 of the time I choose to come before 10:30am. I want to give this place 5 stars .... but there are some things that need to shape up with the operation for me to do so. Maybe I will just start giving my business to the Zephyr Cove P.O. since the guys there always handle my packages immediately and are always open on time. FIX YOUR SHIT UP PLEASE! THANKS. read more

I read bad reviews, but so far we have had nothing but good experiences. Brent behind the counter is always really friendly. My only negative is the closure in the middle of the day from 1:30-2:30. I assume that they are just understaffed and have to close for lunch. Besides that, 2 thumbs up. read more

We went to mail a box and a birthday card. Cory was so helpful by finding the most inexpensive way to mail our items and even provided us with tape and suggestions on how to pack. He was very kind and awesome customer service. I wish we loved here because I would use this location all the time. read more
