The USPS on E 4th Ave is a bit sad. There are always homeless people hanging around outside including one drag queen who proclaims she is just collecting money for the poor. The sidewalk around the drop boxes is chipped and crumbling. The bushes are overgrown. The inside of the post office is a little smelly and brown. There isn't much to look at other than the layers of bulletproof glass separating you and the staff. It makes you feel unsafe. You mainly want to get in, get out, and try not to touch anything along the way. There's always a line, but maybe that's because I go around 2:30p nearly every day. Two of the staff members, bless their hearts, are generally outgoing. There's Judy, who always has something nice to say, and Kyth, who remembers the regulars and will make small talk with anyone. The service at the branch isn't awful but could improve, and I think everyone would be much happier if this USPS location got a facelift.

A lady had to ring the bell for service to which a different lady from the back screams... "Ugh be right there". Struggle bus.

Pathetic service, will not answer their phone. Good enough for government work though.

I wish I could give half a star. Rude and slow staff. No sense of urgency or customer service at all.

Should be 0 stars. The worst post office I have ever experienced. Also, don't even try to call because they never pick up the phone.

That's a lot of residential service plus a bunch of small businesses all crammed together. A couple years back the nearby area of Columbus was designated "Fifth By Northwest" (Fifth Avenue & Northwest Boulevard). You can also call it "The 212" after the last three digits of the local postal code. So the staff are great & friendly in this tiny little postal office. When there aren't lines it's great, but when there are lines, wow.. with only two counter windows & a TINY public space, they really have their work cut out for them. And the working area seems a touch cramped to me - just my opinion. I don't know, but probably having the main post office on Twin Rivers Drive so close by might take some of the busy heat off this location. Just a guess... Anyway, these particular postal workers sure get the job done with a smile. Never unfriendly when I've been in there. It just may take a little while if you come when the lines are longer, typically I've found that to happen around the lunch hours during the work week, and on Saturday mornings.

The passport worker lied and claimed they don't do appointments. Made us go to another location…read morewith 2 small children.
