While waiting in a VERY long line of customers in the late afternoon, a guy in sweatpants a few customers up from me goes up to the counter with a random PO box number he's supposed to check for "his boss", but, he doesn't know the number (?!?$&@$!?WHAT??!!), so the postal worker at the counter says she needs that info and tells him to come back when he has it. a few more customers are waited on, and about 5 to 7 minutes pass, then it's almost my turn. The unprepared sweatpants wearing guy walks back in and goes directly up to the counter, bypassing the now even longer line of PREPARED customers. I speak up, saying he's surely going to wait in the line again, since it was HE that was completely unprepared his first turn, and should not make the customers waiting in line that ARE prepared wait EVEN LONGER because of his mistakes. Granted, these were not my exact words, but the point I conveyed. Then the postal worker says to sweatpants guy, right after I protest, "oh you don't have to wait in the line again", and then let him cut in front of everybody that has been patiently waiting. !!??!! Then when he gets up there, HE STILL HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS DOING because he is at the WRONG EFFING POST OFFICE. She says "oh no, that box number is downtown." And the incompetent, unprepared, sweatpants/wearing guy leaves. When I get to the counter, no explanation is made as to why that occurred, and I'm basically treated like nothing even happened. If you get out of line at LITERALLY ANY OTHER PLACE IN THIS TOWN, and leave for 5 minutes, and then come back and try to cut in front of everybody else that's been waiting the entire time, there would be like, a major uproar. But because the postal worker "excuses" some entitled sweatpants guy, it's ok? NOPE. It's still a LINE. Which means you wait your TURN. I'll never ever EVER EVER take my mail here again and it's the MOST convenient location for me and my business. Grow up and learn what actual etiquette and customer service is. Disgraceful. read more
