With two toddlers in tow and a package that desperately needed mailing that day, I was frustrated to find that I ended up there the one hour they were closed. However, the employee on duty let us in anyway and mailed my package and even gave my kids bubbles as parting gifts! We spent an hour in the parking lot blowing bubbles in the wind. They also refused yo look into issues when packages said they were delivered but I never received them.

Honestly, since there are a lot of older folks that live in this town, I assume they don't want to drive their Lincolns to the next town to get their mail. It's not really that far from the next town but this office is still a gem and is very useful to the town's residents. It was actually pretty busy when I went. It was near Thanksgiving so that might explain it, or maybe since it was snow and ice people didn't have anything else better to do than go to the post office. This office is really small and everyone seems to know each other so it has that small town friendliness that you would assume would be present.

It's just off the main road in Brinnon and there are signs pointing to which way you have to go to get there. It's much higher off the ground than most post offices. There is a huge concrete foundation and it's at least like 8-10 ft up in the air because of this. The do have a drive through mail drop off which is convenient if you're not wanting to go inside and strangely there are a lot of post office boxes in the lobby even though Brinnon seems so small. There was only one person working the counter when I went, which wasn't a problem because of course it was not busy...AT ALL.

It's got like an old 1950/60's décor feel. It's a beautiful large structure that basically takes up most of the corner block. It kind of reminds me of a New York style police station, which might be a bad or good comparison however you may look at it. There are quite a few steps to get inside and I don't remember a wheel chair ramp being available. Don't quote me on this because it's a post office so there is probably handicapped accessibility on the other side of the building. A wonderfully built building. The people inside are just a nice. Probably the nicest I've seen in a post office but I don't hate on post offices. They provide such a service especially since so many people don't really use paper mail anymore if they don't have to due to technology. Oh! There is parking galore as well.

There's also retail merch available for purchase, not just postage and shipping services. I chose the Silverdale location versus the Bremerton/Tracyton one due to its extended hours and business day availability (8/12/26). I did not have much of a wait (between 230 to 245pm) and was reassured that the prepaid package being sent had a functional shipping bar code. Expedient customer service!

After having such wretched experiences in Lynnwood and Belltown, we were apprehensive about a new post office and how their quirks would affect our mail delivery. However, we have been quite pleased with this local post office. They have been communicative regarding parcel delivery and pick up, and they are super helpful if you need to go inside. I will note, though, that the inside of the building is quite small. The counter can only accommodate one customer at a time, and they do not have the standard selection of mailers and cards that can be found at other post office locations. Keeping those realities in mind, I would not trade this location! They have wonderful employees and really focus on customer service.
