Haven't gotten mail for several days. The last day we got mail was 12/24. I went to the post office on 12/31 to see if I could pick up my mail and was given 1 piece. I was told all previous day's mail was on the truck for delivery and our carrier would be making deliveries that day. We did not get any delivery. I realize the weather played a part in some delivery delays, but there were at least two days through the week where I saw mail being delivered in other parts of the city. read more

I arrived just 3 minutes after closing, and when I tried to enter, the employee immediately told me, "WE'RE CLOSED," in a dismissive tone. While I understand policies about closing times: the same employee then let a white woman enter right after denying me entry. This feels like blatant discrimination, and it's completely unacceptable. Everyone should be treated equally and with respect, regardless of the time or their appearance. It's extremely disappointing to see this kind of behavior in a public service establishment. I go to this post office multiple times a week. I always have a good experience. Never a line. Friendly helpful staff. I do witness people with special Ed ask the dumbest slowest questions though. Most likely the ones who are complaining and leaving bad reviews. Surprised they can even fulfill a full sentence. Worst Post Office in Minnesota missing several pieces of mail cant reach local carrier via phone!

Went there to send a money order for work and can not get over the terrible customer service I experienced. This lady was so rude and talked down to me as if I was the scum of the absolute earth- I'm sorry that I have no idea how the heck to send a money order WHICH IS WHY I AM HERE RIGHT NOW TALKING TO YOU. I truly hope that it was a fluke and she just woke up on the wrong side of the bed because holy sh$&!! read more

Seriously, I know they are very busy, but just because something has the address of 12345 Main Street, doesn't mean you JUST look at the 12345. Our mail is routinely going two streets over. Street names are not remotely the same. Take two seconds to LOOK at the address you are delivering to. We've tried talking to the post office about it, the only response ever received is "oh, I looked at the street address". read more

Worst mail service I have ever had in my life. At least one day a week my mail is not even delivered. I knew I had mail that was suppose to be delivered on a particular day because of my informed delivery notice received but no mail is delivered. It may show up on the next day. The latest problem is that I was to have received a rebate card and it showed that is was to have been delivered on a Tuesday because of informed delivery. And then low a behold other other mail listed on informed delivery showed up but no rebate card. I tried calling the Post Master for Prior Lake and was told she was out for the next 21 minutes. I left my name and number ands told she would call me back when she returns. No call back!!! Not sure what to do next but I would advise anyone one needing any think with the postal service go to another Post Office to do it. read more

Worst ever. We have the same address number as a house 3 streets over and our mail routinely goes there. When asked, our mailman stated he "only looks at the number" are you KIDDING ME? So now the other peeps are out of town and my package is being held at the post office....good lord. read more

Does anyone read these reviews? If so, will anything ever be done about the issues going on there? I'm not the only one fuming from undelivered mail, and lets not forget the EXTREMELY rude (that's a nicer word than I really want to use) woman (?) working there! Does she wake up hating life, or what? And her counterpart- it seems they are in competition on who can be the biggest jerk of the day. VERY condescending, VERY entitled- to what?? If your personalities aren't in public service, but rather being hardcore- go find a prison to work in where the people you're working with deserve your cruelty to mankind. My mail- marked "NSN", meaning NO SUCH NUMBER. Excuse me?!? The address IS correct on my mail. I have contacted USPS SEVERAL times, emailed and called multiple people to find out what the problem could be. Did I do something wrong? Did the sender? NOPE. Two days ago, I walked into the Prior Lake Post Office once again. This time, it was because I was informed that they couldn't deliver a package because of an INSUFFICIENT address. I give my ID to Mr. "I wish I didn't have to be here", (I was so glad that Ms. "I'm better than you" was busy with someone else). He came back with my package, and my ID. Just gave them to me. No words to say to me. I had words though. Pointing at the address on the package (from Amazon- pretty sure they know my address by now, lets be honest- it's a computer system printing out the labels). So I asked him what the problem was? He told me that my regular driver was off yesterday and the substitute driver just didn't leave it at my house, brought it back to the post office. WHY? Your guess is as good as mine. Next, wouldn't you know, a nice, kind looking Post Office guy walks into our conversation. He asked me if I've been having trouble with my mail? Packages? Regular mail? This was my first package problem. It's been my hometown newspaper that has been an ongoing issue. Pretty simple, right? No big deal? It is to me. And it's the principal of the matter- isn't it a Federal crime to mess with United States mail? Yes, it is. And who/what is the cause?? Mr. Nice Guy takes my ID, goes to the back of the mail room, and... he tells me the truth! Mr. Mail Sorter tosses mail UNDER THE TABLE if it doesn't match up with the route he's working on. UNDER THE TABLE!!! From there, it's either "return to sender" or apparently THROWN AWAY! Not resorted, like one would expect. And thus, why my hometown newspaper has gotten RETURNED to them, thus the "NSN" noted on the papers I do actually receive. And thus, SEVERAL weeks I have NOT gotten my paper. Here's my question- does anyone have pride in what they do? Do these people have any sort of remorse for being a crappy person? Do they have a lot of crap in their lives?? I would guess so, because that is KARMA, my friend!! I would personally dislike myself if I knew how many people disliked me, and worse, wished boulders to fall upon me. Does anyone read these reviews? Will anything change? USPS is a Federal employer. I get it. Can't be fired- the union backing you? If I was the Union Steward, I would tell these people to step it up- have some pride! They are making a mockery out of a long standing, vital part of the United States of America. My review: What a jerk the guy named Peter is. Trying to send a Priority Mail package, which I brought to the PO unsealed, because last time I sent a Priority package, they slapped Priority Mail tape across it, anyway. Last time, they also keyed in the address and printed a label, obscuring the one I'd prepared at home, so I didn't prepare one this time. This time, the clerk (are they still called clerks?) named Peter made me purchase a label, and get out of line to complete it. When it was my turn again, he told me to seal the box and then he'd help me. He didn't offer the Prioroty Mail tape, but made me ask for it. He pushed the tape across the counter and made me seal the package and go to the back of the line again. He made no eye contact with me the entire time. I didn't mind buying a label. Didn't mind sealing the box. What I minded was his snide little jerk face watching me do the little dance he was commanding me to do. He could have just taped the damn box, don't you think? If the procedures have changed because of the current pandemic, he could have said so. But I don't think that was probably it; since none of the employees are wearing masks, I don't think it's a concern for them. Incidentally, I was shipping a package to a stranger, at my own expense, because it has been mistakenly delivered to me, and it contained contact lenses, which the intended recipient really needs. reliability is not good. even a letter from prior lake to prior lake did not make it. many mistakes are being made at the office.some staff friendly others rude and definitevely not suited for customer service. there is room for improvement and i truly hope they will do so soon. read more
