Am I crazy?…read more Never in my postal dreams, oops, nightmares could I have imagined getting service so good from the USPS that I would write a positive review of my experience and max out the star rating. But behold: I was out of town recently and realized I would be staying longer than originally planned. So I accessed the USPS website to place my mail on hold starting that day and extending out two days past my return. When I got back home, there was NO mail in my mail box, including a rent check that a tenant messaged me he had himself dropped in. I messaged him about the missing check, and he replied that other mail was in the box at the time he dropped off his check. I got my held mail bundle from the PO and, surprise, his rent check was inside along, obviously, with the mail that had been building up in the box prior to USPS processing my online request. Amazing! The postal carrier had removed the already-delivered mail from my mailbox and kept it at the branch location with the held mail for safe-keeping. My mailbox does has an unsecured flap, and should be replaced with a locking box, but that's another story.

And well... that's all I needed. I always have my packages prelabeled to save money on shipping, so it is cool that this post office was setup to avoid the main counter with ease. You save nearly 70% on shipping costs if you are able to weigh and measure your package at home and print a label. I wish all post offices had the double package drop off chutes. Usually the one gets clogged up quickly, so two is a BIG deal.
