The women at this Post Office have some of the nastiest attitudes that I've ever encountered at any Post Office. I try to avoid this location unless it's absolutely necessary. Its always a line no matter what time you go. Is it really that terrible working for the US Postal Service? I guess the term "Going Postal" makes sense from these people there. read more

Their Saturday hours alone warrant a four star review! Open 10am-3pm on a Saturday!!!!!

My, my, my ... you Yelpers are TOUGH on this poor post office, dealing out a mere 1.5 rating! Okay, I get it that they don't answer the phone, but I can't remember the last time I thought calling a post office made any sense to begin with. In person, I've found the counter staff to be courteous and often times downright friendly. Yep, if you drop in later in the afternoon, on, say, December 20, you will find a long line. And you can find those lines at any post office location at certain times. Fortunately, I can schedule my post office runs at the least busy times - try mid-morning, for example - and zip through this place. It's got a lot less traffic than many other post offices I've visited (try the 9th Street old federal building post office sometime for a chronic queue). It's a great location, with the Mt Airy Breakfast & Lunch next door, and the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union at the corner. Malelani Cafe is right up the street. read more

Failed to leave package at my door, despite no need for signature from the seller (After I got the package, I noticed it actually had a stamp on it that said 'leave if no response'). Would probably rate higher, except for I called EVERY hour they were open on Tuesday and no one answered the phone all day. read more

They always have line (all times of the day) and one one person handling the line. Other works show up from the back to talk or look around but no one is trying to help with the line! The best you can hope for is someone from the back asking if anyone needs something from their PO box. Yes, they never answer the phone, they don't take out packages and will try to stick a card in your do for attempted delivery! When you catch the carrier and ask for you package( card in hand), they look sheepish because they didn't take it form the station! It seems that all Postal Workers are on their cell phones! I can hear their conversations from behind my door or as I am walking down the street! read more

Haven't been there in person, yet - but they definitely do not pick up the telephone, ever, which is not a great omen for my visit.

I've never gotten such consistently bad service from any store, anywhere, ever. Been a customer there for several years. Over the years, about half of the staff there have been good, and one or two have been great. But, lordy, the bad ones are awful. At present, Ms. Jackson is the worst. Horrible. Postal Service deserves to go out of business. Letter carriers don't deliver packages. They don't even leave tags any more. I caught one at my door filling out a tag but they had not rung the doorbell and when I asked for the package, they didn't even have it in the bag or truck. Too much trouble, I guess. But the office is only open 10:00 - 5:00, like I've got all day to go get what should have been left at my door. No problems with UPS or FEdEx deliveries. Terrible. Terrible customer service. 1 star is generous. Employees attitudes are foul and awful.

I have no idea how this place escaped a review for so long. Located next to a Septa transportation depot and attached to a small shopping complex with a Philadelphia Federal Credit Union, it would make sense to staff the place for fast service. This could not be farther from the truth. From opening until closing, wait times of 20 or 30 minutes are typical due to one person manning the window while other people wander around in the background trying to look busy. There are no self-serve stamp machines, so people who need last-minute postage are stuck behind those sending express packages across the globe. Parking is terrible, and they do not hesitate to ticket and tow vehicles at a moment's notice. In April 2013, things went next level when the office failed to open by 8:30 am on a Tuesday and patrons stood waiting on the sidewalk at 11 am. read more
