Welp. Just another grossly understaffed post office with agents with questionable attitudes.
I've been coming here for 8+ years and have rented a PO for 4. There's just not enough workers - and I can understand that IF the ones that did work here were competent and polite and good at doing regular tasks (or just their jobs). My PO Box is always missing package slips, the line is consistently out the door and the service is sloth type slow. There are two regular front desk agents, a light skin woman and a heavyset dark skin lady. I've never caught their names because I don't believe they wear tags (I'll update with names if I notice when I go back in). I applaud the light skin agent because she is consistently friendly, works at a reasonable speed and genuinely attempts to assist each customer with respect and care. I will actually let someone in front of me just so I can make sure I get her window and I absolutely abhor when she is off or on break because they either don't replace her at all or replace her with back office staff (I'm assuming a sorter of some type) that has NO idea what they're doing. She really is the only bright spot to this very small, hot crowded office. On the flip side, the heavyset woman consistently has an atrocious attitude and it really can put customers in the wrong place especially when you've been waiting so long and should at least be entitled to good service. We get that you hate your job but we also don't give a shit seeing as though you get a paycheck and all.
I can also tell there are issues with the back office as lots of times I track packages to the office and they are distributed untimely or completely go missing. I've had to call in and speak with the office manager on several occasions and they work out issues realllllllly slow. Don't ever expect a call back when they say they will - it is up to you to continue to follow up with them until your issue is resolved.
I feel like I overpay for a post office box here, however, it's the only one conveniently located to me. Finally, this office has TERRIBLE hours. I work a 9-5 so I'm only ever able to access my box on Saturdays. I think it's a major inconvenience that they don't offer extended hours at least one day during the week for people that keep traditional work schedules that will never correlate with their 9:30-5:00 lobby hours. So, like many post offices everything is unpleasant and there's nothing you can do about it besides deal because you like, need your mail *side eye*. Just a shame that we're expected to pay for mail and services under these conditions. USPS sucks. read more
