We've called fedex to inform them of the access due to the construction mind you we live on a corner, there are 2 other ways in to our yard besides the main driveway, both packages have been less than 10lbs. We live 1hr away from where they are holding the package and cannot just drive out there to pick it up. Can't get a human on the phone. I popped into MSP to see what size boxes they had, none big enough, so they kindly sent me off to AAAAA Storage in Honokawai who stocked exactly what I needed. I packed everything in bubble wrap and boxed it and and MSP took care of the rest, showing me pricing for different types of delivery, making sure everything was labelled correctly with fragile and this side up stickers, and they even had tape when I ran out. To be honest, I was sorta shocked that there wasn't a UPS Store in Hilo town…read more Whenever I travel for work, it's not uncommon for me when I fly to the neighbor islands that I pack alot of gear, & parts. After using my parts, I like to ship out the broken parts back to the mainland, that way I can avoid having to haul it back to Oahu. I have used the UPS Store in Kona, but since I was working in Hilo this time, the closest UPS Store was in Pahoa. Located at a small strip mall called "Puna Kai Shopping Center", you can find this little UPS Store just a stones throw from a McDonald's. Lots of free parking at the strip mall, so access is pretty easy. I walked into the store and was greeted right away. The friendly clerk processed my package, & gave me my receipt, and off I went. Although Pahoa is a little drive from Hilo town, at least this UPS Store provided a very valuable service to the Big Island community.
