So, this is kind of a biz split-personality situation. The actual post office location and staff are great. Typically well-stocked with supplies and staffing. I came in with two carts full of heavy packages and the staff was incredibly helpful and patient with me. They even suspended my transaction while I got the second cart load. She gave me all of my options and was clear about the best price/delivery options. Now, for the delivery of our mail. Ooooffff. We live in a new build neighborhood with a grouping of mailboxes for the community to pick up at at our community entrance (as opposed to mailboxes on/at each individual home). The carriers have left the doors to our mailboxes/package storage wide open on several occasions for anyone to take or get their read on. Yikes. They consistently place mail in the wrong slots, bring packages to the wrong homes, and this week shoved a box in our small mail slot that clearly didn't fit. I had to go home and get a crowbar to help me pry it out of the mail box. It was mangled by the time I pulled it free. I understand how grueling this gig is and how understaffed and underpaid it is with the wild hours...which is part of the issue beyond their control and driving them to rush in order to meet the quotas and timelines. I sure hope this gets better over time for all. read more

Didn't knock on my door when I was home and stuck certified mail notice in mailbox instead of on the door, set up redelivery with them for the next day. It did not get delivered, but the postman said it would be at the post office. I went today and they looked for 40 minutes and apparently have lost my certified mail. Asked if they would be sending a message to the sender letting them know they lost it and was told no and that it would be delivered. These people are always rude, but this is tRump's new post office people and now they're worse. This will be happening to mail in ballots near you. read more

We are staying in Oak Ridge from out of state. While sitting on the front porch, we were approached by a postal delivery worker named Jesse who was delivering a package to us. My wife mentioned we were waiting on another package which was supposed to have arrived two days prior. Jesse asked for the tracking number and said he would check on it later. About 2 hours later, Jesse came back and delivered the package we were waiting for. We were not expecting him to bring it to us the same day. Jesse definitely went above and beyond to help us out. It's people like him that reminds us why we packed up from out of state and moved to Tennessee. Thanks Jesse! read more

I've contacted the county commissioner finally after 2 years of nothing but problems and you can't contact usps here their always rude and unprofessional I pay alot for fast delivery and they flat out lie and say delivery attempted will try again and it's always on weekend s this happens yet other delivery services deliver just fine and submit/ photo proof so I have proof their lying and it's costing us for their lack of doing their job lazy flat out lazy and rude also mail dosent always come something has too be done about this location read more

Completely incompetent. I cringe every time someone sends my order USPS because their so called tracking is like, "Your package has left the Knoxville facility and is on route to be delivered". You wait all day, nothing arrives. You check it again, same message as before but the delivery date has changed to today. Again, nothing comes. You call a local number, but you're transfered to a call center in Manila who isn't going to know where your package is. So you go down there, and some chubby manager gets rude with you when you tried to be polite, so then you get rude back and he refuses to be of any help in the rudest, most unprofessional manner you can imagine. Seriously, screw the Oak Ridge USPS. P.S. this isn't the first and only time this has happened. It's something every time the USPS ships to my house. The driver is friendly however. Not his fault. read more

Mail has been in mailbox for 2 solid days. Are you going to pay late fees on these bills? Where is the mail person?

If you have a large quantity of mail to mail out DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION They return and refuse mails even when I follow the size and weight to the core! They keep returning my mail to me and I mail things out almost everyday for the past 3 months and never get anything back from multiple other USPS locations! The MANAGER IS RUDE and the workers are clueless So They make up their own rules here - when ask why one of them told me "not all US post offices has the same rules" Uh no, they have the same size and weight references I don't think anyone that works here knows the basics so they just make up their own rules and refuse mails. They would return their own postage! They weigh the mail, print out the postage and then few days later I got them in the mail because they refuse to send it! read more

Since this so-called "Jackson Square Station" is the only retail post office in Oak Ridge, I need it to be "A-OK", so that's how I'm rating it. Perhaps the best thing about this location is the ample dedicated parking. Traffic patterns in the parking lot are not well-defined, though, so be cautious. Since this is a fairly new government building, I think it's readily accessible to wheelchair users (no steps and ramps -- just a wide door that's flush to the ground). Inside the P.O., the array of shiny P.O. boxes is the first thing you see. Walk through that area to get to the room with the service counter -- and the seemingly inevitable queue. Fortunately, the behavior of the queue is generally much more predictable than driver behavior in the parking lot, and the queue often moves pretty quickly. Postal supplies are generally pretty well stocked (as P.O.s go) and staff are mostly efficient -- they can even be friendly if you are lucky enough to catch them on a slow day. read more

Absolutely awful at carrying out their duties. Lost packages, inconsistent delivery to my home, very poor customer service. Recently changed my mailing address and it has been a nightmare trying to get my mail. Their failure to forward my mail has cost me countless hours of frustration, lost mail and packages, and much money. Getting in contact with a live person to help resolve this issue is impossible. If this were a private business they would have gone out of business a long time ago. Another example of government failure. From now on I'll do as little business with the USPS as I can possibly get away with. read more

I was sent an email stating I would receive a package from Amazon on Sunday, April 18th, but it never came. So I checked online as to why I didn't receive it, and read the stupidest reason, I could not believe it. Who ever was suppose to deliver it said "didn't have access to the front door". The entire street was clear to park and only one car was in my driveway. Unbelievable!! read more

I have to give a big THANK YOU to the employees at this station. On Tuesday I dropped a letter in the blue mail box in the parking lot, and the moment I dropped the letter, I realized I didn't have a stamp on it. I have never done this before and this was my tax payment to the IRS!!! I was so upset and mortified to go in the station and tell someone of such stupid thing. But the ladies working that day were so nice and helpful. I gave them the stamp, the information and my phone number. They told me they would take care of it and they DID!!! Within an hour I got a phone call to let me know they found the letter and put the stamp on it. Wow!!! That's what you call Excellent Customer Service. Thank you so much ladies!!!! read more

This is the best Post Office. Questions? They take time to answer, they help with letting you know the best way to mail, they meet you with a greeting and smile. I get my mail on time, any mail I send gets their when said and without being battered. USPO is the absolutely the best way to go and this office is fantastic. I thank you for the work you do helping people and getting mail delivery to my home. Thank you. read more

All USPS offices should get 1 star. They are all the same and haven't changed in years. SLOW!!!!

We moved to Oak Ridge last year and had issues with getting our mail at first and the main lady that works there would be rude anytime we checked on our mail. We've gone in two times since then and the same lady is still rude and hateful to customers. She cuts you off before finishing your sentence and talks to you like you're an idiot. I love living in the area but this lady seriously needs an attitude adjustment. read more
