Lazy, untrustworthy, and rude. I have a home business that i can't always get things except through mail and I have lost thousands because of it. And when trying to call to make a complaint, Townsend blocked my calls. So unprofessional as well. Less then 0

How much can one say about a United States Post Office, even in what I'd like to refer to as rural…read moreAmerica (no offense to the good people of Townsend, TN). Call me old fashioned, but when I'm on vacation (which is rare these days), I love to send out postcards; and I mean a LOT of postcards. In June of 2017, we were vacationing in Kentucky (Mammoth Caves & Corvette Museum) and Tennessee (Dollywood, Gatlinburg & the Great Smoky Mountains), and were staying in a cabin in Townsend, TN. At every destination, I picked up a few postcards, and filled them out every night. After a few days, I had amassed over 40 postcards and needed to mail them. In an effort to save a few nickels, I wanted to get postcard stamps instead of regular "Forever" stamps. I "Googled" post offices and found the Townsend Post Office just off the main drag in Townsend (E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy). I walked in the front door and was initially confused as all I saw was post office boxes. That's when I saw the roll-down door to the main lobby and a sign that stated the service counter was closed every day from 11:45 AM - 1:00 PM for lunch. Lucky for me, it was 12:55 PM so I opted to wait. At approximately 1:04 PM, a courteous lady opened the roll-down door and courteously sold me 50 postcard stamps. Yeah, I sent out nearly all 50, and sorry if you did not "make the cut". No muss, no fuss here. Exactly what'd you would likely expect.
