It's a small town rural post office with some boxes on the one side and a service counter on the…read moreother and a letter box out front. all aspects of this operation have been optimized to manage the receipt and delivery of your letters, packages, parcels, and such... what did you think was going on at the post office? yesterday was a federal holiday so the lobby was closed and I have no personal interactions to report. but they have a mail drop for posting cards (signage claims mid-day pick up) so I can get an 'away' postmark while I'm away. there's only the one paved accessible parking spot if you need it - If that's taken you'll have to make do and pull halfway off the road to tend to your business (be mindful of traffic and other patrons if you do.)

Dolly has invested a lot of money in Sevier County with several theme parks. Dolly was born not too far from Sevierville, in Pittman Center. I'm a big Dolly fan and have listened to her music for decades. I love the reading programs for kids that she has championed throughout the country. The bronze statue by Gatlinburg artist, Jim Gray, depicts a young Dolly holding her guitar with her big smile and curly hair sitting on a rock. The statue was dedicated in 1989. Dolly looks casual and approachable. There is limited free parking around the Courthouse.

Walk across the street and visit Dr. Massey's Bird Dog memorial for a sweet story and a quick stop in to the Salon/Souvenir shop where the sweet owner has pictures with Dolly, stickers and tee shirts. She also has a hair salon in the back decorated with Dolly wallpaper!

It was a beautiful day...we had to do a little searching for a parking lot, but hey, not surprising, the students have priority right? We finally found an acceptable spot and started to stroll around. It really was/is a beautiful area with many cool statues and sitting areas. The shade is so valuable when walking around. The flowers and foliage was quite beautiful and fragrant...

We were able to enter the environmental building for the restroom. The major downside is the lack of shade. There were some shady areas but it is so hot in the sun on the majority of the paths. Definitely worth a visit if you've never been before!

Then made me "thank" under duress with "come on, it's not that hard". And threatened me with a taser because I panicked when restrains were pulling my shoulders back, saying I had nothing to apologize for very nonchalantly when we reached the destination I was being transported to. Yeah, I did say an apology then, but did my tears not communicate I was terrified and not "in control of" the panic I was grappling with? Just find me for more information and answers, swear to me that won't happen again, repair the damages need be, and let me collaborate with you for that. I'm not putting up a fight with you, I'm making a record and walking away if things will only amplify because we don't settle things to closure.

It's nestled off a quiet road so your gps will lead you there. While visiting TN and the Great Smoky Mountains, we wanted to explore a few covered bridges as well! This rustic one has undergone several renovations and restorations and it's on the National Register of Historic Places, I'm glad this gem of a bridge was saved!! It's in a little neighborhood which is pretty cool! The lattice work is beautiful and the stone foundation is impressive! Built in 1875, this bridge is 83 feet long and it was a thrill to drive through it! Now only about 20 vehicles pass through it daily, but it stands as a proud reminder of days gone by and a historic testament of architectural design and a wonderful legacy to those who love to keep the past alive!

Beautiful, big library! I enjoyed wandering the shelves on the first floor. I didn't make it to the…read more2nd & 3rd floors. I love the huge windows that let in all the glorious sun. I wandered into the bookstore, next to the front doors. For $5, you can buy a bag of mystery books! I searched for two books for a friend, but didn't find them. They do have a very nice selection of children and adult books. Husband waited by the welcome sign while I wandered. He used their free internet to read his Apple News stories.
