Speaking solely to my experience with the clerks, this is truly the best PO nearby. Nobody has resting b*tch face. Nobody is mean when they call NEXT! Nobody seems terribly unhappy to be there. They're genuinely kind. Lorenz, in particular, is consistently humorous and always helpful. They utilize the ever reliable Take-A-Number system, with a red paper tab dispenser just inside the entrance. As I usually have pre-paid labels, I often can sail in and out by simply dropping my package on the closest counter, after scanning it on the machine in the lobby. The one thing that remains a mystery, though I would venture guess that they would tell me if asked, is that the parking lot is almost always jammed - and there are like three patrons inside. My most educated guess is that it's overflow employee parking from the back lot? I go a bit out of my way to come here as I get the most consistent service, tbh! read more

I don't understand how there's so many low ratings. Anytime I come in. I'm in and out within 20 minutes. I usually come after work so of course that's pretty much the prime time which is understandable. However, even with that being said, there's always 2 to 3 employees upfront assisting. It just takes longer depending on what everyone in front of me is doing. The store is always clean. They offered plenty of services from passports to stamps to notary and much more. USPS does not deliver or pick up residential mail every day as they are supposed to. My tax payment sat in my mailbox for 2 days with no pickup. On Day 3, I had to take it to a drop-off location. This is completely unacceptable!! read more

The service is horrible. Mail is constantly late or just not delivered at all or delivered to the wrong person. We've had numerous drivers to deliver our mail all of them speed through our neighborhood where kids live like it's a race track for them. Would not recommend them at all. Worst post office ever. Our neighborhood has had opened packages arriving and Christmas cards completely disappeared. Reporting them on informed delivery does nothing. Reporting to the website does nothing and going up there does nothing. I feel bad for anyone receiving medications in the mail. read more

I generally find this office and its personnel helpful and competent. I regularly ship eBay packages via USPS and items seem to process quicker to the next station from this O'Fallon division than others. My residential mail carrier is also friendly and always willing to accept packages I hand off, which saves a drop-off trip. This office is typically busy, so a wait for service isn't unusual. If you have a scale it's a lot easier to set up an account at usps.com, purchase your package postage (not letters, unfortunately), and print out a label. Online you can also purchase stamps or order supplies (USPS boxes) for home delivery. read more

At least this post office has a legit help desk. Getting unordered mail from China had me confused. I realize could just put it back in the mail box, but I had opened one... Physically handing it over to a human seemed more official. The mail lady was nice to me and costumers before me. I have tried to call the O'Fallon MO post office for the last three weeks. Every time I call it sends me to the operator and tells me someone will be with me soon. The phone rings about 15 times then hangs up. I have tried at least two dozen times in the last three weeks. Has anyone out there ever got the O'fallon post office to answer the phone? It's sad. I've lived in Ofallon Mo for 22 years and I've always had my mail screwed up. They give it to my neighbor and I haven't been getting any mail for a few months!!! Not even junk mail !! Then my mother who lives in Illinois sent me an envelope that requires a signature and it was supposed to be delivered yesterday !!!! I waited ALL day and they never showed up !!!! And she told me she sent me and my daughter a Christmas card with a check in it and we didn't receive anything !!! Then she said it came back to her a couple months later and it was opened !! I've complained several times but all they do is laugh about it. I even opened an investigation on them and I never heard anything about it! Someone needs to do something about the people who work there. They're not doing their job . I'm going up there when they open today to see what's going on with my mail. I doubt if they do anything about it unless they get an honest person to be in charge there. If i still don't get it I'm going over their head and talk to Channel 4 news. Have not received mail for over a week. My Informed Delivery shows I am missing LOTS of mail. I even tried calling the post office and it took me calling all day long to even get someone to pick up the phone. They said I should expect my mail within 1 week. 1 week!!!! I had someone mail me a package and the clerk never put a return address on it and they missed a number in my address. so it went back and forth for WEEKS. I called them and talked about what there was to do and I filed a claim or whatever and was told I'd get a call back and never did. they called me A WEEK later and told me they had it and when I asked if I could have someone come pick it up they said it was a dead package and they were going to throw it away!! they called them as well (person who mailed the package) and they were supposed to call her and NEVER DID. she is now out the money and I will never know what it was she mailed me!! Back in the day 20 plus years ago the general public DREADED going into a post office, where do you think the saying "going postal" came from?? Def not from a friendly outcome!! I use this post office to ship my packages and they are pretty quick when they ship, it takes around 1-3 days after I drop my package off for them to ship. However, there have been multiple times when I've gone to drop off packages and the parcel door- not the door to the building but the container thing you send packages in is either sometimes stuffed full of packages to where you can't even open it or it's completely locked for no reason. read more

Have filed numerous complaints, but nothing is ever resolved. Last November there was a period of almost 2 weeks where I received no mail, yet informed delivery showed many pieces. Went to the post office where I was lied to. Right now I am waiting on mail from Monday, and it is Thursday. Packages have been delivered to the wrong address, or I suspect stolen by carrier. USPS St. Peters on Mexico and MidRivers has the rudest older gentleman as a Supervisor. Condescending and cut me off in conversation to sarcastically give me his opinion. Package did not arrive at my house today. There is NO Document left on my door saying they were here. I am here, my dog is here, the door was open, we have heard no doorbell or knock. Did not happen. Mail clerks are very nice on phone and in person at the post office. Our postal carrier is extremely lazy and steals packages and mail is 3 or more days late or does not never get delivered. We have had mail on our box for 3 business days and it's just been ignored. This is not the first time. Too many different mail persons and they aren't even looking at our mailbox. We have had our mail left in the box at the vacant house across the street and often get mail for other people in our neighborhood. I mailed 100 Save the Date cards for my daughter's wedding on March 6, 2023. Today is April 24, the cards that did get delivered took a minimum of 10 days. Majority of the cards are still arriving to our guests! We have quite a few that have not received the card at all! I've learned that all local mail (O'Fallon, Dr Peters, Wentzville, etc) gets routed downtown rather than going straight out for delivery. This is the latest saga with this post office. Our family was going out of town for a month. I filed an only-line "Hold Mail" request. At the closing date I chose to pick up the accumulated mail. Instead, the P.O. delivered it and set in on the porch. That may sound nice and courteous....but, I elected to not return until about a week later (one has up to 10 days for them to hold the mail after the closing date). Here's the problem.....what if that mail had been sitting there for a week? The O'Fallon post office is not doing anything correctly. For YEARS I have gotten other people's mail. I have delivered it if it was a neighbor's mail. I have put it back in the box with a note explaining I do not get a wage to do the postal workers job so I won't deliver it if it is not an immediate neighbor's mail. I actually got a Christmas card on 2/8/2022 with a post mark of 1/11/2022! A full month to come from St Louis to O'Fallon??? Seriously?Recently, it has gotten so bad that several bills were not delivered to me and I had to pay a late fee. I am now going to e-bill for as many of my monthly bills so this no longer can happen. If the post office does not want to do their job, then we should take that job from them! THE ABSOLUTE WORST post office I have ever dealt with of all the places throughout the country I've lived. Be ready for them to NOT have your mail held when you request it, lose and "return to sender" important pieces of mail, and deliver your packages and boxes to the wrong house and/or lock in the incorrect mailboxes AT MINIMUM once a month. If they can't retrieve the package from the incorrect recipient after delivering it they're somehow not responsible for the error & are directed to contact whoever the package is from to have them resolve it. No matter how many phone calls, lost mail requests, and contacts you make with this post office, they will NEVER improve or fix these errors with the completely incompetent delivery drivers. I've got to say, they've done a really good job of changing things around in this office. My terrible driver is gone, replaced by a great driver, and then replaced by another. All recent fill in drivers have been good and with the exception of a few acceptable errors which happen things have been much, much better. read more

I had to go to the Post Office last night about an hour before they closed a man was working and a female was working I had a number waiting in line and as a gentleman ahead of me was at the desk with a yapper dog by no means a service dog crawling all over the counter goo goo and Gaga and with the dog and the lady who worked behind the counter as I'm standing there waiting I hear him proceed to say why are you wearing the mask she says I have the virus for the second time why and God's green earth is she going to work in a federal building with a virus and she thinks the mask is going to work and she's going around telling people and she's going to work with a virus if I get the virus I will die so of course she gets done before the mail does and she called my number and I said nothing personal but I'll pass and I'll wait for him and she had the audacity to look at me like I had four eyes I'm really sorry but I am not going to have someone help me who's got the virus and I sure the heck I'm not going to explain why I'm not going to that window if you people have the virus you need to stay home what is wrong with you and where's the management up there I never see anything it's a joke read more

Continuation of issues with USPS delivering Amazon packages. I watched the truck drive by our quiet suburban street and pass our house twice as I was out weeding the flower beds. We have had many issues with general mail in the past although our new carrier is very good! I used to watch our former delivery driver (male) drive by completely engrossed in his cell phone conversation and we used to get mis-delivered mail on a weekly basis-wonder why? This went on for some time. Again, our new carrier (very nice young lady) is very good. Here is the message the USPS provided (not the first time an absurd message was received): "Carrier is unable to gain access to front door to deliver the package. Good luck if you ever have to call this post office for anything having to do with tracking down your lost package or possibly trying to pick it up because you'll get absolutely zero help... A package I had been waiting for and was expecting to receive today was handed over to them at the last second by FedEx at 8am this morning and once they received it the shipping dated changed to tomorrow instead, so I just assumed since they're the post office and that my package was there I could just pick it up instead of having to wait an extra day for them to deliver it to me (it's a part for my car which I need in order to fix it).. only to call and have some rude employee who seemed like they were bothered because they had to answer the phone tell me there's nothing they could do and that I'll just have to wait until it gets delivered. It just seems absolutely ridiculous to me that apparently they have no way at all to find someone's package (in their own facility) if they would prefer to pick it up, especially when it's just going to be sitting there collecting dust for an entire day before getting put out for delivery the next morning. I get that the delivery date isn't guaranteed and always subject to change but in a situation like this where it's just going to be sitting there waiting to be delivered, you should at least have the option to go there and pick it up if you wanted to. Instead they're more than happy to make you sit around and just wait until whenever they get around to delivering it (because even though it's the post office they're unable to find a package located in their own building for some reason), and then give you the "oh well, can't be bothered!" attitude when you call to ask about picking it up. My Mail man Is a really nice man and does goes above and beyond to know the neighborhood and take care of everyone.

My new postman/postwoman is TOO LAZY to get out and deliver my packages. He/she automatically says customer/delivery unavailable. I am SO TIRED of having to go to the post office to pick up my packages!! Our carrier Vernon is wonderful! Besides delivering our mail, he goes above and beyond. He caught a potential issue for us with a change of address mistake made by a family member who was moving out. We were able to make a correction before all of our mail (including our business') got shipped to a wrong location. I've never had a problem with anyone at the Church St. location. Clerks are pleasant and have been able to provide answers to all my questions. read more

Has to be one of the worst ran post offices I've been a part of for a while. Moved here two years ago, nothing but trouble. If you go in to the post office, there's a 50/50 shot the person working knows what they're doing. Have a pink/yellow slip to pick up something, some workers say get a ticket, some say don't. Then they'll lecture you on what you should/shouldn't do, yet they never have the same process. Terrible. The worst part is just trying to get your mail delivered. I have tried to contact the Ofallon office since moving to ofallon. You get a hold message and no one answers the phone. I still have not received any mail. I did tge change of address online which appears was a waste of time. The carrier put a green card in the box and this was filled out and later taken by same. Still haven't received any mail.
